Hey, so I live in the same area as you at least used to. Obviously I wouldn't know if you still live in Beaverton or not but I was just wondering where you bought all of your discs. I go all the way out to Downtown Portland to Next Adventure for mine. Is there a closer place that has good variety?
and the innova with that was green the 1st stamp i found that its the 1st stamp destroyer from innova, i dont know what plastic tho i got it from a friend, and i lost it yesterday on my drive it hyzered into the brush and trees just to the right of the tee box
@droan999 My rating is crap right now so don't worry about it. I haven't played enough tournaments lately to get my rating where it should be. And believe it or not I've never had a problem throwing the wrong disc because every one of my discs has a specific spot in my bag so I just know which disc I'm grabbing without looking.
Love how all your discs are blue. I just watched your -11 course record video, insane bro! You're so good! I've been playing about a year and a half, really fun and addicting sport!
@divad44 I really need to make a new video of my bag because i have gone even more "ALL BLUE" than this video shows! And thanks bro i'm glad you enjoyed the video. You got that right! Best sport ever!
@11645SW Champion Destroyer and Star Xcaliber is my bread and butter! I love overstable drivers. Xcal dives super hard right though (RH-Sidearm) if thrown too high or with little spin but if given enough wrist snap I love the way my beat up Xcal(super super overstable) likes to s curve and then dive off at the end usually giving you a spot on landing. The Destroyer after getting used to it is great! Pretty stable, but an absolute beast if thrown with enough spin, or low through trees!
Man so many blue discs I'm surprised you can tell them apart. I do have a few blue discs myself...actually pretty easy to find too, but not as good as orange and pink.
hey brody i love your vids and i ask u to make more plz!and i wanted to let u know that when i have time to go to my dads football field and show u that even though im only thirteen i am starting to throw about 330 ft and that i love disc golf . oh. and show us ur aces and the rest of ur room
Brody y not try a star wraith or a pro one it is a great discs put alot of snap on them and go flat and goes far. Try to make ur bag simple to much conflict I think in your bag. Like mine a Boss, Groove, Wraith 3 of em, firebird, 2 valks, and 2 teebirds. and four rocs, and a really beat stingray since and that is all I need
It's not that I don't like Rocs, it's that I don't like DX plastic at all. Also, I absolutely LOVE my FLX Buzzz. It feels great and I can throw any line i want with it
Dude if you're a disc golfer you are a retard. I've played 2 NTs this year and did well in both. What makes you better than me? Prove that you have any talent before you talk shit about me.
I never said I was better (even though Im a 989 ranked player). It's not about being better. It;s about a dumass like you who thinks that anyone gives a shit about what you throw.
I went to NT in UMEÅ last weekend and got my hands on a brand new Q-MEGA that they were selling there and i have started to like it alot. First i just thought that it only was a good putter but then i used it as a driver on hole six wich is 344 ft and i threw it next to the basket for a easy birdie putt with it as well.
I have over 100 discs in total including rare discs, ace discs, and tournament discs. A lot of them are back-ups or discs that I've 'grown out of'. I usually just keep 22 discs in my bag and only 2 or 3 of them rotate out every once in a while.
I like it for certain shots but it's too fast for the shot i wanted it to be used for so I don't keep it in my bag anymore. I'd definitely recommend it though it's a great semi-understable disc
Although each disc doesn't get used in each round, each disc does have it's use for certain shots and I'm confident to know I have the perfect disc for the shot I want to throw
i am about to buy a bunch of the discs you have. And i like how all of them are blue, so i think i am going to get all the same colored discs, maybe green. My primary driver is a champion wraith for a 450 ft pretty straight drive, and i throw soft anhyzers with my champion starfire, but unlike you i putt with the original hard magnet
Cool. I've been using the Soft Magnet for the last few months. I should probably make a new video because my bag has changed quite a bit. You should make some videos of you playing! I'd like to see another junior that can throw 450. Besides myself, I only know a couple..
I have a blue one. I wasn't sure about how i liked the feel but I aced with it so it's on my wall now. I'll get a new blue one soon and try it out for different shots
my favorite disc is a champion eagle my furthest disc is a pro starfire i cant really get a boss down can you make a videoon how to throw a champion boss

It's one of my favorite things I keep in my bag! It is completely mess-free and gives a perfect and consistent grip. I strongly recommend them. A lot of people rub their hands in the dirt but it makes a mess and isn't a consistent grip. The Birdie Bag solves all those problems!
but i cant find a putter or a fairway driver that works for me what do you suggest ive been playing for 2 years and a right backhand thrower also what to you think about the boss and groove im thinking about investing in one
where did u get ur finger sleaves or what ever cause lately i have been tearing my fingers up ive been throwing so much... so just send me a meesage or write back thx
Ok thanks smart ass. I use the word 'plastic' when referring to 'discs'.. after all, the DISCS are PLASTIC! And in a way, you're wrong. Champion plastic tends to be much more stable..
alllll blue? doesnt it get hard to just look down and grab the right disc? cuz i know in my bag i got a FH side, and a BH side, then in the middle i have my mids in order from overstable to least stable. and no colors are the same which i personally find to be helpful... but to each his own lol.
I have a basic arrangement in my bag and almost every disc has an exact spot. Otherwise, I recognize the disc by the condition of the rim or shade of blue.
You mentioned that you had your destroyer tuned real good. could you describe how to tune a disc for me. All ive heard is that you bend the disc, but in what manner i dont know.
I don't alter or bend my discs or anything. I just throw them until they fly perfectly (in my opinion) and that's what I mean when I said that it's 'tuned'.
I order them online from places like discgolfcenter and discgolfvalues. You'll have to get an X-Out and just to warn you, all 4 of the ones I have are VERY different in stabality. Also, many big tournaments had them last year a fundraiser discs
not all champ destroys are xout... they CFR destroyers. all u gotta do is go to is get em at tourneys, or ebay, or online stores. just get tourny stamp ones and they're cfr's. and then u can ask for a domey or flat one depending on what u throw best, only destroyers i can throw are domey cfr destroyers. cuz they have added stability. and if u really like overstable u should get a cfr (champ) xcaliber. thats my goto for big d. u cant really crank them and hyzer flip over, but they always comeback
I bet you hate the color blue. I would personally buy brighter discs because they are harder to lose. For a while I through all Gateway and Quest but with the new Innova technology my main long distance drivers are Innova. If I were you I would look into putting with the Wizard and If you like over stable drivers the Spirit is my favorite. The Wizard is also great for drives 250 and in. Most of all have fun, I usually forget that part when I am competing.
cool video, i have a lot of the same discs. i use a star spider as my utility mid-range because it's so controllable, I think you'll like it for finesse shots if you keep trying it out, but im assuming the champion is more stable . To me, it's an aviar, but with more of a "mid-range" edge to it. It will hold a hyzer or anhyzer and will often ~S~ when thrown with power. Added bonus, it's a long range putter/backup short range putter. It's the disc I grab when I don't know what to throw.
Ya I'm starting to like it. Mine is really stable right now so I don't have a very wide range of different shots with it yet. It does feel good for putting and I will use it on windy days because my aviar will just fly away. I used to putt with my champion gator and the champion spider was a good replacement when I aced with it.
i looove my champ spider. actually got it from a guy at work and was tryin it out the first day. flicked it at a hole me and 4 other friends run at all the time and no one hits. and hit it this time when my first throw was right by the chains, hit it the second throw with mah spider. she's mah baby :)
get a champ gator if u like overstable. u can hyzer spike em, throw s shots, amazing for FH. they're like mini firebirds. such a control mid. or even a z or flx drone are amazing for the same type of shots. but i think the gator feels better. basicaly same rim as the spider, just more overstable. o and d nt buy star gator. they dont have a bead, so they arent near as overstable. basically a spider. but they're actually called gator l's for long. like the fl vs the firebird x (the overstable one)
I have a champion gator. I retired it after i aced with it. I loved it! I have a FLX Drone but I haven't used it very much. I've just been using a champion banshee for shorter overstable shots.
ya ive never tossed a banshee. for short overstable shots i usually use a gator, z cyclone, z xtreme or a predator. cuz i dont like firebirds much idk why. but ive never throw one ive liked lol. if u go for the most over stable discs u can find lol. give a max, xtreme and a viper a toss. (xtreme and viper is basically the same but different companys) but if u get a viper order a cfr champ one. cuz dx sux lol
I use firebirds a LOT. I had a predator for a while but i aced with that too. I have a Max but I can flip it if I snap it hard. I use my monster and excaliber very often but i can even flip those on a good day.
ya i flip maxes. but i only use them on windy days. and for xcals thats what i love about them. i hyzer them and they hyzer flip for low ceiling shots and long bombs cuz they eventually come back. and i use to have a monster that i used as a turnover. never understood why they claimed it was soo overstable. never thought it was. but i gotta say i love champ xcalibers. sooo much more overstable. but ya i hate the firebird. i like xtremes and preds alot more. i could never get the feeling for a FB
I also can't believe how many molds you throw, I'd never keep track of them all, I'm still rocking the faux minimalist deal, 6-7 different molds from discraft for the last year and a half.
Brody, what's up man, I never thought you'd give up that dang birdie, I though you'd keep on being the best birdie putter in the nation. Good to see you're still up in the game. I'll send you a buzz if I come back to down, I've got to get out to greenway eventually
Haha believe it or not I've fallen in love with the Soft Magnet! I lost that aviar in the video while playing The Memorial and I've been using the Soft Magnet since! Anyways, gimme a call whenever you come back into town! It'd be great to play with you sometime this summer at Pier or something. Take it easy
Man, I just received my brand spankin new star stamped Groove in 170g...BLUE, favorite color...you'd like it dude. Will test it out tomorrow! BTW, how do you get the blank discs, those look really cool. I would throw all blue as well, but I'd probably lose them quicker that way.
How's it workin for ya? I have 2 star stamped champion grooves but haven't really thrown them much. I also got a double stamped champion groove and I liked it a lot the few times I've thrown it.
I like it a lot actually. I have a one i 168 and one in 170 star stamped blue...you'd love it man. Both are flat as a pancake. If I throw it with good form and solid snap it will fly really straight with about as much turn over as you would get from a flat wraith but it comes back harder than a boss at the end...I love it but I think I can still get a little more distance from my beat up wraiths. The groove is excellent for s turns as well.
Great vid. I believe you when you blamed the bad camera work on that field goal shot.
Where were you throwing "from" on that football field?
Thanks for the bag run through!
I carry many of the same discs as you. I live at 7,ooo ft alt. And I love the Sidewinder for a straight 360 shoulder drive. And I throw my Roadrunner a lot too.
Thanks for the tip on the Monarch! I'll try rolling it as ASAP! I roll my RR (500).
I see you have the cryztal z challenger. . .I have seen a couple on ebay claiming to be one of the most overstable putters on the market. Would you agree with that?
Mine is not as stable as I expected. My buddy has a few of them and they are the most stable putters I've seen. He throws them really well. I've heard that they are usually really stable but mine isn't overstable. I'll go throw it around some more and try out some other ones too. I've also heard that the clear ones are rare so maybe it has something to do with the color..
I think the most stable putter in my bag right now is the soft magnet. I think the most stable putter I own is a champion Classic Roc. Also, I can throw my XD pretty far. I don't know if those count as putters though; They are more like approach discs. Ohhh I just remembered that the Gateway Wizards I have are really stable too. Try one of those out. I don't use mine because its glow plastic and has bad grip but there are like 5 other plastics. I know a lot of people that love their Soft Wizard.
Banshee is also fairway driver

I have a basic arrangement in my bag and almost every disc has an exact spot. Otherwise, I recognize the disc by the condition of the rim or shade of blue.

You mentioned that you had your destroyer tuned real good. could you describe how to tune a disc for me. All ive heard is that you bend the disc, but in what manner i dont know.
AtheistDiscGolfer 2 years ago
I don't alter or bend my discs or anything. I just throw them until they fly perfectly (in my opinion) and that's what I mean when I said that it's 'tuned'.

Let me guess, your favorite color is... Red?

hey whered u get that champion destroyer
ehay1122 3 years ago
I order them online from places like discgolfcenter and discgolfvalues. You'll have to get an X-Out and just to warn you, all 4 of the ones I have are VERY different in stabality. Also, many big tournaments had them last year a fundraiser discs
11645SW 3 years ago
not all champ destroys are xout... they CFR destroyers. all u gotta do is go to is get em at tourneys, or ebay, or online stores. just get tourny stamp ones and they're cfr's. and then u can ask for a domey or flat one depending on what u throw best, only destroyers i can throw are domey cfr destroyers. cuz they have added stability. and if u really like overstable u should get a cfr (champ) xcaliber. thats my goto for big d. u cant really crank them and hyzer flip over, but they always comeback

It's the disc I grab when I don't know what to throw.
ogLunaman 3 years ago
Ya I'm starting to like it. Mine is really stable right now so I don't have a very wide range of different shots with it yet. It does feel good for putting and I will use it on windy days because my aviar will just fly away. I used to putt with my champion gator and the champion spider was a good replacement when I aced with it.
11645SW 3 years ago
i looove my champ spider. actually got it from a guy at work and was tryin it out the first day. flicked it at a hole me and 4 other friends run at all the time and no one hits. and hit it this time when my first throw was right by the chains, hit it the second throw with mah spider. she's mah baby :)

get a champ gator if u like overstable. u can hyzer spike em, throw s shots, amazing for FH. they're like mini firebirds. such a control mid. or even a z or flx drone are amazing for the same type of shots. but i think the gator feels better. basicaly same rim as the spider, just more overstable. o and d nt buy star gator. they dont have a bead, so they arent near as overstable. basically a spider. but they're actually called gator l's for long. like the fl vs the firebird x (the overstable one)
brendanb1236 3 years ago
I have a champion gator. I retired it after i aced with it. I loved it! I have a FLX Drone but I haven't used it very much. I've just been using a champion banshee for shorter overstable shots.
11645SW 2 years ago
ya ive never tossed a banshee. for short overstable shots i usually use a gator, z cyclone, z xtreme or a predator. cuz i dont like firebirds much idk why. but ive never throw one ive liked lol. if u go for the most over stable discs u can find lol. give a max, xtreme and a viper a toss. (xtreme and viper is basically the same but different companys) but if u get a viper order a cfr champ one. cuz dx sux lol
brendanb1236 2 years ago
I use firebirds a LOT. I had a predator for a while but i aced with that too. I have a Max but I can flip it if I snap it hard. I use my monster and excaliber very often but i can even flip those on a good day.
11645SW 2 years ago
ya i flip maxes. but i only use them on windy days. and for xcals thats what i love about them. i hyzer them and they hyzer flip for low ceiling shots and long bombs cuz they eventually come back. and i use to have a monster that i used as a turnover. never understood why they claimed it was soo overstable. never thought it was. but i gotta say i love champ xcalibers. sooo much more overstable. but ya i hate the firebird. i like xtremes and preds alot more. i could never get the feeling for a FB

DannyE5 3 years ago
How's it workin for ya? I have 2 star stamped champion grooves but haven't really thrown them much. I also got a double stamped champion groove and I liked it a lot the few times I've thrown it.
11645SW 2 years ago
I like it a lot actually. I have a one i 168 and one in 170 star stamped blue...you'd love it man. Both are flat as a pancake. If I throw it with good form and solid snap it will fly really straight with about as much turn over as you would get from a flat wraith but it comes back harder than a boss at the end...I love it but I think I can still get a little more distance from my beat up wraiths. The groove is excellent for s turns as well.
DannyE5 2 years ago
Sounds good! I'll put one in my bag give it a try.
11645SW 2 years ago
Wow, that's a ton of molds to throw!
I'm going to have to pick up a Monarch for long rollers this summer.
joeveenpresents 3 years ago

Throwing on the football field, I was throwing from behind the back of the end-zone.

I see you have the cryztal z challenger. . .I have seen a couple on ebay claiming to be one of the most overstable putters on the market. Would you agree with that?
elgolfhombre 3 years ago
Mine is not as stable as I expected. My buddy has a few of them and they are the most stable putters I've seen. He throws them really well. I've heard that they are usually really stable but mine isn't overstable. I'll go throw it around some more and try out some other ones too. I've also heard that the clear ones are rare so maybe it has something to do with the color..
11645SW 3 years ago
Oh. . .that's a shame. 1 more question: of all the putters you have thrown (and I assume many), which would you say is the most overstable?
elgolfhombre 3 years ago
I think the most stable putter in my bag right now is the soft magnet. I think the most stable putter I own is a champion Classic Roc. Also, I can throw my XD pretty far. I don't know if those count as putters though; They are more like approach discs. Ohhh I just remembered that the Gateway Wizards I have are really stable too. Try one of those out. I don't use mine because its glow plastic and has bad grip but there are like 5 other plastics. I know a lot of people that love their Soft Wizard.
