One of my all-time fave Beatles tunes. This video is COOL!! Love the inclusion of the Shea Stadium cuts. And the timing was nearly identical! Great musicians.
If you feel sad because you're not born in the right decade, Run to the next McCartney's concert. For 2 hours you'll like you are indeed lucky to be alive in the 2Ks.
Very cool mixing both concerts! Now....where can I hear the most recent version of "I'm Down"?? Do you have it uploaded too? I NEED to hear it with the modern equipment they're using in this vid. It was a ballsy tune in '65 (when I was 11) and it's damn ballsy now. Anybody know who his players are in the recent vid? Thanks joel in tucson
@connorcookie1 Hey man go easy, the great thing about music is you can still enjoy this. I remember well when they played Shea in '65 and I was the ripe young age of 10...but hearing this again still brings back memories and I am thankful the music has been preserved and can still be enjoyed 40 some years later...
this video makes me really sad. knowing that we will never see the beatles as they were in their prime ever again. I can't even...man I was born in the wrong decade.
@ALKOpadman Well the Beatles were more of a recording band... their live shows were mostly known for the reaction of the crowd.
I don't think I would have much enjoyed watching a Beatles show considering the conduct of the audience. But I'll listen to their albums again and again.
@pkattk Uh, honey, they were putting all the sound out with no feedback, no monitors, no fancy electronics and 100 Watt speakers. Ringo was holding the whole thing together with his drums. And they were more of a recording band??? Huh?
