All fish were processed (see part 3) then released and swam away. Many were caught again by anglers who called in the ID numbers on the tag. This program not only collects eggs and sperm to help a species impeded by the dam during the spawn survive but it allows us to collect data and perhaps some day have the dam removed so they can reproduce naturally. Ia so sorry you are so ignorant of the facts.
It's easy to figure out these guys aren't MNR... Ministry of Natural Resources wouldn't kill the fish with the current... The fish in the 'live' well couldn't survive in there too long....
@sonycatr Actually the Ministry of Natural Resources were doing the shocking. We were only collecting the fish for the Ministry. Try watching part 3. Not one fish died, they were all either kept for the hatchery program or released to be caught again and many were.
@wildniagara Also they were implanted with a "PIT" tag so when the commercial fishers capture them for YOUR supermarket they run them through a scanner. When they capture one of these fish they are notified when it gets scanned and they report it to the Ministry of Natural Resources. This gives them info about migration.
They arn't fishing. They are tagging fish so we have game fish to catch in the future, so my kids can pull in pickerel to.

@soadlili77 I left that comment (kitaspoziuris) there because it makes that user look like a complete idiot. No sense arguing with that person :D
