@jjuup Yeah the integrated I/O is actually important, I use logic 9 and not really interested in doing live stuff. I'm wanting something I can totally manipulate. Without having to worry too much about compatibility. So far Im looking at waldorf blofeld, Nord lead and Arturia's 'Origin'. Expensive but I think worth it.. U have any experience with these??
arp is JUST 64 presets and so it's not possible to edit...not so sure with the software editor...waiting for a review on that to see if it's worth the £80.
Hm, can’t you just switch arpeggio banks by pressing (and releasing) the Arpeggio button, and then the bank button followed by the bank number followed by the arpeggio number, just like you select patches? A little easier on the hands.
It seems SHIFT+Arpeggio locks the arpeggiato selection until you toggle it off again, for easy testing of arpeggios. Nice feature! But a little different :).
The manual is a little light when it comes to the Arp.. Could you tell me if / how you can change the note resolution from 16ths to 8ths to 32nd's etc..
Can you please tell me what can be done with the phrase recorder. I'm curious if I could use it like a step sequencer. I need a synth (I sold my AN1x) for the sequenced bass in "Hella Good" by No Doubt. Could I do that with the Gaia phrase recorder? It starts at 0:13.
thanks man that was a nice TEEP hahaha

@ToastedOmond No, there is no sequencer onboard. Join the Gaia forum on facebook if you want to ask more questions.

@jjuup Aren't there 8 x phrase-sequence slots on the Gaia, which can record automation data as well as notes, which are looped to the current BPM?
Perhaps I'm completely mistaken about this feature. I always thought that was one of it's selling points!

@cresshead The editor should be free. I think it's pure assholity from Roland to charge for the editor.
