my stratagie: in the spwan point turn into someone on the opppisite team (usually medic, engineer, or scout), turn invisible, runto close to their base, turn un-invisible in a corner, backstab someone, turn invisible and run awaw, hide for about 5 seconds, repeat!
if there is a sniper, stand still disguised as other class in your team, whit the dead ringer and recieve a headshot that would kill you, then go to a corner behind the sniper and work done... if he's using razorback, you should use the ambassador and head at least one time to him, there is no need to the other shoot to be in the head, the damage caused si enough...
@Avakadoman1995 When you get the "Dead Ringer" unlock, the disquise as team mate helps alot, rather than running in qusquised as an emeny you disquise as a pyro on your team so they dont know that you have the dead ringer.
@Avakadoman1995its to make the enemy think you're not a spy. For example if theres an enemy pyro, and you disguised as a friendly heavy, the pyro would probably run away and you can cloak to plan your next attack. I've never used it though :P

Spys and Pyros in payload works well. Pyro can hide using the cart and the spy takes everyone from behind. - Good combination as they are focused on the pyro. Nobody would except a spy coming. Anyway a pyro and a spy works well on crowded sentry places. (spy saps pyro comes. Backburner works well here. Compression blast is better for me however. Dunno more than half pyros i see use the backburner. Stupid downgrade.)
news flash: No tips about spy checks. I once disguised as a sniper and stayed in the normal sniper area pretending to snipe people and I still get spy checked. they didn't even spy check the two other sniper there...

Another good spy tip is to not directly look at enemies and to keep them in your peripheral(sides of your screen) so you can see them but not be directly looking at them.

Those guys didn't even spycheck you, i don't even use disguises anymore, it's so pointless, of course i still use them for sentrys and i tend to switch, but you always get spychecked, lots of times.
um, no he hasn't "more power than ever before", they just increased the backstab radius which was before even bigger. Now at least we can sidestab again, thankfully.
Its 180 now it was 180 before, plus he has been given ammo for cloak, more disguises, can see peoples health, faster back stab animation. The only down sides have been 3 inches less range on the knife and you have to use the animaton to side stab which is only a little downside. Any of the stabs from outside the 180 radios you got before the update were gliched (trust me i have played with the system in hammer)
the "ammo for cloak" thing is from a far older update.
at all, I understand what you want to say (although i disagree with several points) but i certainly dont think he is TOO strong. I mean, you dont see the ppl spy spamming on the server or ppl saying: these spies are totally overpowered! if u spy check or at all frequently check ur back - and many ppl still do NOT - you can always avoid being backstabbed. However, if u want to we can talk about this via pm which is easier than about comments.
i almost agree with you. The new animation is great. I'm still getting a LOT of glitch stabs, but not during certain times that I used to. Side stabs were brought back, so now spy is even more powerful. All we need is flick stabs and the old distance and we can do easy leap stabs again. It takes a while to get used to the new leap stabs, but it will all work out in time.
While these tips may be good for beginners, know that disguises and acting, no matter how good, WON'T fool good players. That soldier you made an example of, would have known you to be a spy because you didn't have your wrench out and weren't building. It's much better in that case to cloak, wait for him to turn his attention to the window, decloak, and backstab.

The only down sides have been 3 inches less range on the knife and you have to use the animaton to side stab which is only a little downside. Any of the stabs from outside the 180 radios you got before the update were gliched (trust me i have played with the system in hammer)

the "ammo for cloak" thing is from a far older update.
at all, I understand what you want to say (although i disagree with several points) but i certainly dont think he is TOO strong. I mean, you dont see the ppl spy spamming on the server or ppl saying: these spies are totally overpowered! if u spy check or at all frequently check ur back - and many ppl still do NOT - you can always avoid being backstabbed. However, if u want to we can talk about this via pm which is easier than about comments.

i almost agree with you. The new animation is great. I'm still getting a LOT of glitch stabs, but not during certain times that I used to. Side stabs were brought back, so now spy is even more powerful. All we need is flick stabs and the old distance and we can do easy leap stabs again. It takes a while to get used to the new leap stabs, but it will all work out in time.

It was very basic spying tips and the player himself was a begginer spy. Well as he said it's for begginers so that's ok I guess...

While these tips may be good for beginners, know that disguises and acting, no matter how good, WON'T fool good players. That soldier you made an example of, would have known you to be a spy because you didn't have your wrench out and weren't building. It's much better in that case to cloak, wait for him to turn his attention to the window, decloak, and backstab.
