  • I don't know if has the worst Italian the interviewer or Ortolani xD

  • multo valido, so true.

In my eyes, the film itself was profoundly enriched with this soundtrack, provoking some intangible emotions. The music somehow provokes me to surely consider the whole as increadibly deep study of humane being than just well shoted gore. Sadly, I find myself being in tiny minority of viewers.

It s all to be viewed superficial nowadays, like this turtle's carapace.

  • Hes a fucking Italian cunt.

  • riz your the man absoulutely great track for this movie even when i got to see this movie recently a really brillent movie with a classic sound track thank you riz for this beautiful track

  • brillant soundtrack a real master

  • Great great composer.

  • Love Italian Films, and music, and food, and women.

    Wait a minute....

Hehe Italy is the language of love.

  • Btw I found a copy of the soundtrack on thepiratebay org the other day if you want it. Slow speeds but it is only 45 MB so doesn't take long. I upped it tomegaupload too if u can't find it.

  • Great interview. I love how he sees this film. His music truly does make it into an art masterpiece. It would never be as powerful in a positive way without this soundtrack. This soundtrack is probably the most powerfulof any I've heard in the places it takes me to after seeing the film. Stirs real emotion just thinking about the movie while I hear it.

  • he is the John Williams of Europe, great music o/

  • Thanks for the interview of the composer discussing about CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST & why he used music for that film.

  • The movie in itself is crap. But blended with the soundtrack..Its art.

This movie was made out of shit and poison, but the final product is just...disturbing, beautiful.

  • the music is ironic and disturbing.

Secondo me, Riz Ortolani abbia uno stilo perfetto per i film dell'orrore.

  • although i have seen much brutaker and much gorier this movie came across to me as much more disturbin gthan the other films i want and i think it was down tot he music

  • great music theme by Riz Ortolani for an interesting movie

  • Great :) i always wondered if he saw the movie ;) the soundtrack is great but its a kind of macabre cause the main theme is so "happy" or something like that

  • he sure says "multo" a lot

  • the interwiever has very crappy italian pronunciation and does a lot of mistakes... but nvm XD

  • his pronunciation is SO bad that sounds like a comedian. Why the heck he does not hired someone that can speak italian?!

  • the man is a music god

  • This guy is amazing.

So modest, does he even know, that he is a Genius????

  • What year was this interview?

  • This interview was done by a friend of mine.

  • Musical genious.

  • This is really truth, the music add so much to the movie and make it an amazing movie . Just like Dani Elfman add a special touch to the Tim Burton movies.

  • yes, I fully agrre with you. you are right! Riz Ortolani is one of the best movie soundtrack maker of that period.

  • interesting man. interesting too that he was still inspired at all to make the breathtaking score for that crap film. he was very diplomatic in his critique of the film itself. smart, tactful guy.

funny how all the best composers are Italian, like my all time fave pino donaggio ala brian depalma's films. and of course there's madonna.

  • Very nice interview, and what a great man Mr. Ortolani is! The soundtrack plays a very big part in the success of the movie, and ranks as one of my favorite scores ever. That is accompanies such a brilliant and powerful film is just an added bonus!

  • I could listen to him speak all day. What a comforting personality, especially in light of what they're discussing.

  • Riz Ortolani is really great, and his tracks for Deodato's classic are, truely, the heart of the film.

  • @Bicicletasaladas TRULY NOT TRUELY

  • The soundtrack of cannibal holocaust is a masterpiece thank you very much!!.

  • The soundtrack of cannibal holocaust is a masterpiece thank you very much!!.

  • 1) I love this language.

    2) Riz Ortolani is a genius.

  • What is wrong with the guy talking to him. He sounds so booooored and slooooow. Like he´s reading from a paper. And yeaah. The italian language is amazing :D

  • HE'S A GENIUS:b ITALIANI UNITI PER LA VITA!

  • those italians got the best language in the world! and he got one of the best score, the best music soundtrack, in a horror movie ever. Maybe some Fulcis's will follow, but HIS soundtrack was sooooooooooo immmerorable. impossible to forget it, according to the theme of the movie. so catching, so brilliant. deserve an Oscar. big time!!!!!!!!!

  • a great theme song

  • fuck off homo

  • Probably one of the most beautiful and haunting pieces of music ever. Adds intrigue to the film.

:D MOSCONI RULEZ!!!!

  • This guy is my hero.

  • Great soundtrack, but Ortolaniz' comments about is boils down to nothing. "The film is modern and still valid"? Yes, that might be, but how?? He doesn't give us any particular in-depth explanation as to why he thinks the film is valid, strong, modern etc. Personally I like the film. This clip proved that Ortolani can be a very boring chap:D

  • yeah it is a great sound track

  • Thanks for posting this! Ortolani is totally amazing--his soundtrack for Cannibal Holocaust is beyond brilliant.

  • The music of this film is so beautiful...it really contrasts with the brutality of the film brillianly...

  • thanks for postin tis ive wanted to see wat he look like

  • tough to stomach film, great music.

  • Riz Ortolani is the best! His music of Mondo Cane won an Oscar I think...
