  • thanks to Tosh, I now know the lyrics to this entire song, something that 9 years of catholic schooling couldn't ever do...

  • yeaahh.. Go tell it on the mountain

  • Love Peter Tosh the real reason sept 11th is such a sad day

  • Love the fact that this title was submited as Peter Tosh (and the wailers).

  • Lonhall you comment is so damn funny!!!

  • Confirm - Peter Tosh on lead vocals

  • I think Bob Marley is talking (or singing) about how our world (at his time and still) is now being enslaved by a very twisted satanical almost cabalistic economic system (which allows human rights abuses, poverties and wars to be in rampants). Google this 'Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion'; and read it if you have the time. May be propaganda haha, true or false, only the Christian God's know.

  • thanks ie been looking for this song fo more than 30 years

  • Peter Tosh and Bob Marley are the best!

  • i like this song very much^^

  • super song

    bob marley still the best

  • This song is imo one of the best recorded by Bob and the Wailers ! Awesome ! Tremendous ! Thanx a lot for posting it, even with the end missing !

  • beautiful, man...... smoking and listening with snow falling outside my window..... but the good flower and the reggae keep me warm.... RIP Peter and Bob.... floating on a smoky cloud and best of friends

  • First, let me blow my cred out of the water. I'm so white I get moonburn when the moon be full. But I have been into the music of Jamaica since I blew a whole dollar on a cutout album of Toots & the Maytals in their rocksteady era. And I'm with the majority here. The lead vocalist is Peter Tosh. Now excuse me while I go but some more moonblock on!

  • Peter is singing this...and i love his songs just like Bob's

  • bob is singing backup

  • Yep, it's Tosh, anyone that knows, knows.

Should re-name, give a bruva due credit.

    peace

  • @xpandoaudio Apologies to all for the original mis-labelling, haven't been active on this account for several years, I'm afraid. It has been rectified.

  • It is definately Peter Tosh leading on this one. You cannot confuse the distinct sound of either of their voices Bob did not sound like Peter nor did Peter sound like Bob. In a tis ya song Peter is leading in vocals.

  • The Great Peter...

  • I think that's probably Tosh playing the guitar 2, not Marley. In any case, deffinitly the Wailers. Long live and bless Bob Marley and P. Tosh

  • I had the good fortune of living in the Caribbean for two years (1981-82) when Bob Marley was a god. His music was religious and real inspiration. There is no way I could ever mistake his voice or Peter Tosh's.

  • This song holds memories. When I was 8 years old in the 2nd grade, my mom would play a tap that had this song.

  • Seriously doubt that this is Bob Marley. I would believe Peter Tosh but this does not sound like Brother Bob even on a bad day.

  • It is Bob Marley, I have a box set of early Bob Marley and the wailers with this song on it. Bob Marley doesnt sing on this song tho he only plays guitar and sings harmony. Peter Tosh is singing lead however, there are a lot of Bob Marley and the wailers songs that have Peter Tosh singing instead of bob marley.

  • that's why peter wanted to call the band just "the wailers" without "bob marley and". two great musicians.

  • Watch your mouth, I don't take kindly to that being from Washington, D.C. The song may be on the album (CD) but is not brother Bob singing lead. Maybe singing back-up on this one. If you can't hear the difference, It only leaves me room to insult your ears. Training your ear is a complicated process called listening so as to recognize the subtle differences between one artist and another. You have gotten an F in this class. Owning the collection doesn't make you an expert.

  • This song was recorded and performed by the original Wailers.

However, as is the case with the song Downpressorman, Peter Tosh takes over lead vocals.

Bob Marley and Peter Tosh along with Bunny Livingston all had their songs, it just so happens that Bob really took ahold of the band and the singing/songwriting.

    Dont get mad brotherman

    Get glad

Now Go and Tell It on the Mountain

    Zion Reigns

    Rastafari

  • Hmmm I'm love it ... This is great man!

    Bless man!

  • Peter Tosh ..Singing . Hahahaha..Just The Wailers. Bob ,Peter, Bunny

  • best song ever!!

  • PETER TOSH

    INITS

     ^^

  • this is my favorite song of all time.

  • but its on his album

  • ya man this is Peter Tosh with word, Sound and Power, Marley has nothing to do with this song...Peter was the Son of Reggea

  • Its from the Peter Tosh & Friends Album, Black Dignity, and its indeed Peter Tosh & the wailers, i have exact the same recording =)

  • great Wailers! Great Peter!!

  • This is the best feel good song ever.

  • It is Peter Tosh

  • That sounds more like Peter Tosh than Bob but who cares...Great song

  • no it's tosh

  • this is from the wailers, and main singer is peter tosh on this song

  • yeah, it's peter on this one

  • Wow, I didn't know Bob had such vocal range...ignorant fool

  • its normal its not bob singing

  • wheres the peter tosh pics? its him singing

  • what album does this appear on?

  • i actually like this homeboy better than ol´bob.

  • jah bless

  • Nice song from a great performer in an incredible band

  • Og kærligheden er blind...

  • it can only be seen by the eyes of the blind...

  • Faux Messie!

  • Great song.

  • RIP PETER TOSH AND BROTHER BOB

  • This is not Bob Marley.

  • yes it is, bob is in the background, that is peter tosh as head vocals.

  • Amazing!

  • praise jah

  • Bobby...There ain't no mountain HIGH enough.

    Ja my mon'

    Respect

avi yama dass aka andy :)~~~~

  • This is actually an early recording by "The Wailers" at that time including both Bob and Peter, Peter is the lead vocal on this one although it was usually Bob

  • if you dont know where you are talkin`about please dont say nothing. this is peter tosh, if you cant even hear the difference between bob and peter, listen to those who can

    rasta

  • awesomee ! :)

  • This version is simply amazing !

    Bob Forever !

  • Sorry, but this is Bob

  • no sorrow brother, cuz it ain't...

  • You're an idiot donelleglatt; This isn't even Bob - it's Peter...When this was recorded Bob was on retreat with Rita

  • I dunno if you realised this bud, but some of the slides is the same as Chances Are.........

  • Bob Marley is my Hero. His music will go on forever.
