  • Tought that Pablo comes to switch off the camera :D

  • Must be a small dog thing, my uncles tiny jack russell does it, but my big jack russell doesn't? BTW I want a Pablo, hes so cute!

  • interesting way to exercise and eat at the same time Pablo... =P

  • Strange and wonderful little guy.

  • my cat does that very same thing

  • My chihuahua does it, too. He takes it clear across the room - one morsel at a time.

  • my maltese does the exact same thing, only she takes her food all the way to a different room to eat it on the rug! i just dont understand...

  • @budgie369 My chihuahua will take it all the way to the living room. lol!

  • my chihuahua does that too!

  • My rat terrior does this, just like her dad did. But he would grab a mouth full out of the bowl , spit it out on the floor, then eat it one bit at a time.

  • @skizz624 my jackrussel does that, and so does my friends rat terrior lol

  • Pablo is like a mini cow!

  • @ALXD1974 Coloring of cow too!!! LOL

  • My Chi does this too...one little piece at a time, except she goes from the kitchen to living room

  • my dogs do this too! my youngest one will take a mouth full and run allllllll the way to her bed to eat it over and over!

  • Little dog way to eat. one kibble at a time Haha :D

  • the first second of this video I thought the song was Humoresque of a little dog.

  • Every few seconds...

    "Nom-nom-nom."

  • haha, thats what my chicken (chuahuah) does sometimes too! when she steals dog food from my min pins bowl!

  • my chihuahua also do this lol! but after he eats he'll be rolling on the rug cleaning his mouth lol!!!

  • my chihuahua takes it out with his paw bites it in half than eats it X)

  • My Chihuahuas and my pug do that! They get a mouth full of food, go to a corner and pick out the pieces that the like...if they don't like something they hide it in the couch

  • by dog does that he puts some food in his mouth then walks around and comes back for more food.

  • i always knew that carpet was softer and more comfortable!

  • my dog does that too. he takes a piece and walks to the mat that is pretty far away, eats it, then repeats it for every piece

  • my jack russel takes his food into his bed it's really funny every time you look in his bed theres a couple of dog treats!

  • my chihuahua does that with his biscuits all the time

  • What a little gentleman! LOL

And I'll join the group in saying the dogs of our family do this too. :)

  • my dog does the same thing

  • Do you guys eat the food right in the kitchen or go somewhere else to eat it? Its natural even humans do it but more so with animals.

  • That is exactly what my dog does, he goes all the way over to his bowl, gets some food into his mouth, and walks over to the carpet, chews it, and walks back to repeat the process, it's hilarious, My dog is a Chiweenie, he's just the cutest thing ever, and he's pretty darn entertaining.

  • My dog does that too!!! Except she likes to get on the sofa to eat

  • Haha! My corgi mix does that, we put a towel under his bowls and now he loves it because he doesn't have to go to the carpet lol!

  • abwuwahauwh my dog eats like that too!

  • My dog eats like that too

  • my Chihuahua eat like that too, she picks up a mouthful of food and takes it over to our rug and eats it there

  • He is so sweet. I like the last part where he cleans his face. What a sweetheart.

  • i thought my pomeranian was such a weirdo cus she does this and most dogs scarf up their food right from the bowl. she does it cus shes scared of everything including the sound of the kibble cracking when she bites into them

  • Looks like Pablo needs a little carpet mat in front of his bowl. I love that all dogs have their own little personality quirks. Cute!!

  • my chihuahua does that too.

    that is so funny..

I try to train him not to do that but i couldn't fix it.

  • I've noticed pretty much ALL chihuahuas I've ever owned and seen eat like that.

  • Why isn't he neutered?

  • why does he have to be neutered? because everyone says they could develope cancer and other problems if they aren't? if that was the case then why aren't male humans neutered too? I mean they could develope testicular or prostate cancer so why not neuter to solve that too? you see my point? testosterone is good for the dog. it keeps them lean and in shape same for a human. ths whole neutering thing is a myth probably started by vets for extra income. i have never neutered and all my dogs were ok

  • @SergioCalcio: Thousands of dogs are euthanized each year because there is not enough homes for them (over population). When a dog is not neutered, he may get loose and mate with a stray female. And when the female gives birth, the pups will be strays and will roam the streets. Most strays suffer and die from starvation, diseases, parasites, freezing, or being hit by cars.

  • thats's very true. However if you are a responsible pet owner then there is no reason that should happen. Studies show there are more negatives than postives towards a dog's health after he is neutered. The only positive is that he won't develope testicular cancer and for irresponsible pet owners there won't be any breeding. However there are many more negatives, increase risk obesity,4 times risk prostate cancer, more likely to develope cognitive impairment condition as they age.

  • The only argument for pro neutering that is valid is to prevent stray breeding. This can be solved by a simple vasectomy and is a far better alternative for a males dogs health. Dogs have managed for thousands of years without neutering, it's best to keep it that way.

  • @SergioCalcio If you are a responsible dog owner who can prevent your dogs from breeding, then kudos, you can definitely get away without having your dogs altered. However, for the myriad of other pet owners who are too lazy/unwilling to monitor there pets, and then have pets' offspring given to CraigsList to just about anyone who gives them a few hundred bucks, then yeah... I think neutering/spaying is necessary.

  • OMG! It's like watching my own Chihuahuas!

  • my dog takes his kibble out of the kitchen and puts it on the floor and then chews it up. He and pablo r so alike.

  • I thought my dog Zack was the only dog i've known or heard of to do this. whether it's milk bones or dog chow, he will get one kibble and go to couch and repeat it.he doesn't do it as much now but still does it. ((((5 stars my friend!))))

  • my chihuahua does this also. and now my dobi is starting to do it too. lol he is younger and copies what the chi does. he just grabs alot more food...

  • Every dog I have ever had did this. Take a mouth full of food, carry it into the living room and eat it off the rug.

  • My chihuahua, Buster, does the same thing!

  • my dog does this too!

  • I have a german shepherd mix that does the same thing, it's like she is going to miss something if she stays at the food.

  • my dogs do the exact same thing but i have a jack and a corgi/jack mix :P

  • I have a Chihuaua I don't know why but she does the same thing as ur, she gets her food, brings it across the room, eats it and goes back and does the same thing, i wonder why, do u?

  • omg my chihuahua eats like that too! my chihuahua actually looks a little bit like pablo (with the black spots and yellow "eyebrows"). whenever i put food in his bowl if it's something small like pelleted dog food he'll stand there and eat it, walk around and then come back and chews on some more. if he gets like a small piece of chicken in his bowl he grabs it in his mouth and walks away with it to his "hiding" place where he puts it down and eats. lol

  • what kind of food do you feed him?

  • my dog lou does that he a border terrier i think lol

  • love u pable, hey your logo up there looks great !

  • Lmao, I thought my baby was the only one who eat her food like that. I really miss mine. She went to Rainbow bridge after 14 fantastic yrs with me. I miss her so much Pabs has really helped me a lot in missing her.She used to sit in my lap and watch Pabs n Rams

  • aww he wiped his face afterwards :]

  • Brilliant video!!!

  • My dog Misha does that too, but instead going to the rug, she goes to the stairs

  • Hahaha! Pablo's really funny! :¬D

Maybe you should just put his dish on the carpet anyway?

We only live to serve. ;-)

  • hehehe, pablo is so funny!

  • my dog does this and im like stay by the bowl its quicker buddy

  • thts what my dog does 2

  • LOL My 2 chihuahuas does the same thing :o)

  • My dog doesnt do the same thing hes a pug. Every time he sees a piece of food he go's beserk and runs away charges at you and slams his head in to a wall. Hes 7 months old and he had a previos owner i think he got abussed or some thing. any anyways if you think you know how to solve it or got any thing to help please reply.

  • Try feeding him in his crate. Also have you told your Vet about this? He may have an in balance, like thyroid, or hormonal?

  • My dog does the same thing! Always brings his food to the closest rug or carpet.... No idea why...

  • Taking food away from the bowl is a natural instinct, linked to wolves who tear pieces of a carcass and move away from the pack to eat in peace. It's a survival tool. This is normal behavior which is a surprising note on evolution because it's a wee tiny little thing like Pablo :)

  • @geekgirl45 thats awesome to know...Houston, Pablos twin from another mother, my baby...he does this also and I always wondered why!! Thanks for the info!!

  • @geekgirl45 Actually as a chihuahua owner it really amazes me how many of those behavior patterns they still have. Like howling for example, mine used to do it with the sound of sirens, or at full moon, or taking food away... great explanation thank you!

  • @drtrance hahaha My chi will howl too if I start off for her. I wonder if this is also inherited from wolves? This is my baby: youtube.com/watch?v=Mndc_xsA36U

  • @geekgirl45 not really evolution but human selective breeding

  • @geekgirl45

That's cool, a "buffet table" instinct! XD

  • @geekgirl45 It's also good exercise :D

  • Oh my god...my dog April used to do that too! She would take her food and then eat it in our living room from the kitchen. I miss that dog.

  • our jack russell does this except she brings her food out of the laundry room and into the living room to eat with us haha

  • my pup cookie dose the same thing with her chicken, she hides them from the cat lol

  • my chi hides her treats. i was sitting in my room when she walks in, goes behind my desk, and runs out with a bone. i even find them long after shes hidden them. she also grabs a mouthful of food, runs to the carpet, eats it, then back to the bowl.

  • I think it is an ancient throwback, to wolves and primitive dogs, grab your own piece of food and then get back before another animal gets all of it, you'll still have your few small pieces. My Schipperke used to do that.

  • my chi always brings 4 pieces at a time then back to the bowl and repeat xD and ofc on the carpet ;)

  • strange, my toy fox terrier does this too. i always thought it was just because he was used to stashing away his food before other dogs could get it at the breeder's.

  • one piece at a time!!

  • my chi does dat too

thought he was an odd ball

    hahah glad he's not xD

  • lol my little guy Nester does the exact same thing... after doing this for a while, he'll get bored, and lay down on his bed, overlooking the food bowl. If one of my other dogs comes near his food bowl, he growls. He growls and barks up a storm, but he never bites.

  • This must be a chihuahua thing. My girl ALWAYS takes her food away from the dish one piece at a time and eats it before going back for another! :o)

  • cute :D very i like pablo...Cutie Pututie

  • my chi chi does this too lmao :D

  • Cute healthy dog<3

  • haha aren't chihuahua's funny this way!? I've even experimented putting the food on a carpet mat and they still take it away from the bowl to eat!!! LOL

  • :-) You answered my question. I was wondering whether if the rug was under the food, he'd still do that.

  • my chihuahua does that too XD

  • My Chihuahua does that!!

  • my chihuahua doesn't do that...

she eats everything really fast so my other dog doesn't get it

    -.-

  • My chi does that too. ^_^ She was really bad when she was little, she'd take a couple pieces, run to a different room to chew them and then come back for more. XD

  • Cute (:

it is so funny how chihuahuas

do that (grab a biscuit move away and eat it go back to the bowl and repeat)

  • haha my dog does that too

  • My chihuahuas do that too. i wonder why. its fun to watch!

  • I bet Ramsey eats her food in 3 seconds flat..

  • that exactly how both my chihuahuas eat LOL!

  • I guess its a chihuahua thing! Mine does the same lol

  • He is eating like he's not ready to share.

  • love this! this is exactly what my chihuahua does! so funny :-)

  • yeah yeah my Chi does the same thing...WHERE'S RAMSEY???? we still need Ramsey videos...Ram Zee...Ram Zee...Ram Zee!! We here detect favoritism hhhmmmmmm?

  • my chihuahua does the same thing i have two dogs and my other dog would always look at me wants me to play with it and then when i give both of my dog its food my chihuahua would take all the food from the other blow and my dog would look back and be like wheres my food? LOL

  • Hi how its going?

I send you full of kisses from Switzerland, and full of kisses Ramsey & Pablo

  • LOL , pablo is a real-life cartoon ....:-)

  • hahaha tht how my chihuahua eats her food!!!!!

except my chihuahua first barks at it for 3 min or so. THENNN.... she eats it like tht!!!

    soo funny

  • if pablo was human, i would want to marry him. i love pablo

  • My chi does the same thing, but she runs from the kitchen to the living room every time, a good 10-foot distance, bypassing one rug on the way.

  • Guess Pablo needs an extra chuck of food every day. Running back and forth like that burns calories! My babe used to do that too until I started putting one tablespoon of tinned food under the dry one - bingo!

  • I thought my toy poodle was the only dog that ate like that! XD Now I don't think my little Sammy is so odd.

  • maybe his feet are getting too cold to stand there and eat? ^-^ put a towel on the floor infront of his bowl and see if he still does it xP

  • my chis do the same thing, and the only other dog i've seen do ths is not a dog -- but the fennec fox.

  • my friend's chihuahua does the same thing ! xD

  • haha, nice "ball-shot" at 1:18 lol jk

  • Thats what my papon/ husky does o_O!

  • Its the pack mentality ingrained in them. They grab from the "kill" and take it away to eat it. Just imagine several wolves around a deer carcass. They are pulling pieces off and moving to the side to eat it.

  • my chihuahua does the same thing...he can never eat over the bowl lol

  • my papillon does that too! lol

  • vem ser gostoso assim aqui em casa! tenho duas princesas que irao te amar! ushaushauhsuahs beijos pra voces 3!

  • I had a cat that used to do this. He'd pick his favorite flavors of cat food bits out of his bowl and eat them off the floor. Pets do the strangest things.

  • Itsas if the floor was too cold to eat on. They need to stand on carpet to eat their food.

  • Our pup does this all the time. He'll get a mouthful of food and walk away. We call it the "Eat n Flee"

  • This is really cute. My boxer does this, except he grabs a big mouthful, walks to the carpet, spits it out, and starts eating it piece by piece.

  • haha my last dog cujo used to do that all the time. He never ate at his bowl. He'd grab a mouthful bring it to the living room, spit it out, then eat one piece at a time lol

  • This is adorable! None of my dogs do this because they are fed on a schedule, so when they eat, they finish at their bowls. :-)

  • why do they do this???!!!!???!?!?!?

  • Too funny.....that's how my Mitsy eats too.....adorable....she also stashes her treats all around the house....they're EVERYWHERE.....LOL

  • Just be lucky he doesn't take a mouth full of food, spit it out on the floor, THEN proceed to eat it piece by piece like my cocka-poo does ;)

  • lol My chihuahua eats like that too. Also, she takes peices of her food and hides it in secret places around the house, mostly in the couches. I think it's her way of keeping the cats from getting it.

  • Hmmm, that last comment doesn't really deserve a reply but, for what it's worth, what's really rude is to tell a person to shoot themselves.

Anyway, this was a sweet video. Loved the music.

  • Pablo doesn't like to eat on hard floors! He prefers the plush carpet! That is just too cool!

  • Haha..our yorkiepoo carries his whole bowl to the livingroom carpet and eats while he watches tv. Absolutely a true story although it sounds far-fetched:)

  • Lol, our doberman eats like that.

  • Cute! Our doberman eats like that as well. Dog can be quirky creatures.

  • My JR terrier always takes snacks to a rug or to bed too. Funny.

  • Cute!!

  • thats not the prettiest of pictures when he walks up close to the camera lol lol

  • Unless directly involved with animal husbandry, to make notice of an animals genitalia in their natural state is considered to be: very rude, of poor taste, and extremely immature. Out of the whole video, that's all you remembered and just had to comment on?! Grow up! If you have a problem with Gods' design, shoot yourself, and take it up with Him. There is a book for people like you, its titled, "Everyone poops" ... it has pictures for the big words.

  • Oh my god are you for real?? Seriously?? Have you ever heard of "SENCE ON HUMOUR"? I actually manage a dog rescue centre and show dogs, so please dont insinuate what i think your insinuating you sick perverted freak. And if you can find the part where i said i had a problem with a dog's design, then please feel free to highlight it and show me.

  • God is capitalized

    Sense, not sence

    Humor, not humour

    Don't, not dont

    I is always capitalized

Oh, we're dealing with an intelligent person - I forgot. Usually, most people (that are smart) are smart enough to know that plain text is devoid of tone. Since your joke sucked in the first place, without annotation: smiley face, words "joke, laugh, giggle, smile" it is only able to be taken at face value.

  • Sence is how we spell it in Port Talbot

Humour is the proper English spelling

In your case only "U" is missing, literally!

Funny how you think my joke sucked when it was YOU who had 6 thumbs down the last time i checked.

  • Did you really waste your time writing all that crap? Mabelina2775 was making a joke, but as they said, you need a sence of humour to understand that. The only one who needs to be shot is you for having a sick warp mind. YUK!

  • what a brat! my chihuahua does that too =)

  • my Chi Abby does this too..she always takes a mouth full with her and stands on the rug...dogs are great and funny as hell!!

  • funny..

  • haha our chihuahua does the exact same thing

  • my beagle eats just like that too.

  • omfg lol this is a sign that u need a new carpet lol jk

  • our chi would eat the same way lol

one kibble at a time some distance from the bowl.

  • This is OK;however, let's see dinner with

    RAMSEY....

    A Doberman has "hovy-chovy"...powerful

up- and down-strokes of the jaw while

    eating...to inhale food,LOL!!

  • my chihuahua's do that too!

  • My chi's like to take a kibble, drop it on the floor, dance around it, paw at it, then they eat it.

  • Pablo is SO cute!

  • my coker does the same stupid thing xD

  • Pablo is so freaking cute!!!

  • thats how my chihuahua eats her food!!

  • Oh so cute, one of my chihuahuas does it too.

  • Ah! So thats how Pablo eats din din ^_^!

  • Chihuahuas*

  • my chiwawa does that alot!

  • It's normal for dogs to do that. I have seen many other Chihuahuas do that as well.

    Pablo is soo cute!

  • all three of my dogs do that. theyre all different breeds, too

NONE of our dogs in the past of done this O.o

  • All of my three Chihuahuas do that, it's fun to watch them eat...

  • Haha Spike does that tooo! and he won't eat if someones near him Either.

  • Paco does that, we thought his original owners had a bigger dog and they fed them both at the same time. We thought the bigger dog growled my dog away and such. lol

  • My cat dose that!

  • One of my dogs does the exact same thing.
