@scotswahhae1984 - communications between Charlie and Murray were poor cause they had fellen out, kept disagreeing with military tactics* Culloden was nothing tactical but a straight out charge. At Prestonpans they at least pivited to the east breaking the enemy formation slightly then engaging in a few musket volleys then charging (on normal terrain) not a moor!
@scotswahhae1984 - He fled Culloden cause his army was massacred, the remaining few thousand jacobite soldiers wouldnt of been enough to carry on the expidition. Communications between Charlie and lord George Murray which is why they sat for about an hour getting pounded by government cannons. Charlie should of been silent and let Murray get on with his stuff. Fleeing a battlefield when your army is getting massacred is even what Wallace done at Falkirk?
