I know your version very well;-) It´s great, lovely harmonies. Thank you Allen for sending me the vid and the lyrics. Maybe I´ll do this one, but as a faster Blues, with a little "clap your hands" feel, you know;-)
Hi Allen: Thanks for sharing. Love this song on the guitar. Sounds wonderful. I'm hoping to hear some more posting of you on the banjo. Thanks again, have a good weekend. Gwen
Este es una cancion espiritual. No sabemos al compositor de esta canción. Me gusta tuning en D. Gracias por escucha. Gracias por tus palabras amables.
Very calm and relaxed version! I like it very much. I used to play a more swing/blues inspired version to sing along. But this is so contemplatively - I have to lean back and only be ear!
I agree with Frank,I'm also from the listening generation who didn't even have Videos back then, and in a way that's good because you're one and all ears. This is very pleasant to listen too,I love the openness and great over thought arrangement, very good tone also, greetings Maestro,Vic.
This comment will probably get me in trouble with some listeners. I think video has had a bad effect on the quality of music being produced these days. Before videos a song had to sound good. A well produced video can make a horrible melody or performance popular. Perhaps we rely too much on what we see instead of what we hear.
Well Allen, sometimes we have to make statements for which we stand 100%. It's too bad others dis- agree. What are we talking here, Music or images for me those are 2 different things. I go for the Music, and I see probably all guys off our generation do, we're not going for a horrible present in fancy wrapping-paper, greets Amigo,Vic.
@carvetop01 Hah,ha, In Dutch we say: Een drol in Kado-verpakking: A Turd in fancy wrapping paper as a present, still remains a stinking Turd. It's a pity the moral is: A Turd smells good and tastes good because no one knows how to cook a decent meal and will settle for a fantastic Mac-Donalds heart-attack food, sorry, getting kinda cynical at my older age Allen.
Allen, I don´t need videos, I listen to music.....like all the years we did before, holding the LP in the hand, expecting the next song, you know....!
This is very nice, always interessting what comes next, where does he go, does he repeat? - oh no, a new facette, another chord-melody, super!
And always the melody in front. Wunderbar mein Freund! And you know the changes!

I think the drop "D" tuning fills out the sound on a melody like this. It is a timeless melody.

Many video producers are trying to apply perfume on a turd, but it still is a turd. The discerning ear will not be fooled.
