I think the big problem is that people don't have faith the money they provide will actually get to the children. Instead, we are afraid it will go towards making the rich even richer. The corrupt organizations ruin it for the legitimate ones. I would love to help these children. More than just sending money. Once I finish school, and get some money saved up for me and my son, I would love to take a trip to one of these countries and mentor, feed, and love these children.
we as a society help others who need it whether it be a religious organization or a state funded shelter we have organizations to help these people the matter is we need to not burden but teach what the outside world has to offer them we can help but they have to make the journey

There are a lot of organizations which work to help through sponsorship programs, gift donations, and volunteer work to make a difference. If you look them up (just google charity/non-profit organizations for 3rd world poverty) I'm certain you will find hundreds! You can help by donating money or personally taking action or joining programs which go to these countries and help build schools, homes, hospitals, administer food and medicine, and educate/train people. There are countless ways!
Just remember: although it doesn't seem like your small monetary donation will put even much of a dent on this huge epidemic, and your efforts alone likely won't solve it over night, every little bit does help. It has to start somewhere with someone! If one person, and then 10 and then hundreds and then thousands, millions, then everyone were to make small contributions and efforts to help such a cause... THEN we will find a sure solution and way to help! Thanks for the concern and efforts!

Nature didn't take this course. If every person in North America (or even just 1/3 of the populations) were to donate JUST 1 penny per day (not a huge comittment AT all since you can find pennies on the ground outside) then poverty like THIS would not have to exist. These children have been born into this poverty probably just like their parents or the'adults'.

Giving outright aid to the developing world solves nothing. The only way to bring millions of people out of poverty is remove regulations imposed on them by the west. The West should allow more trade and investments with theses countries. More importantly the people living in the third world need micro loans, other credit, and capital goods. Other wise they will always remain dependent (and hence subservient) to the the west. Read the book "The Mystery of Capital" on Google Books.

I think the big problem is that people don't have faith the money they provide will actually get to the children. Instead, we are afraid it will go towards making the rich even richer. The corrupt organizations ruin it for the legitimate ones. I would love to help these children. More than just sending money. Once I finish school, and get some money saved up for me and my son, I would love to take a trip to one of these countries and mentor, feed, and love these children.

There are a lot of organizations which work to help through sponsorship programs, gift donations, and volunteer work to make a difference. If you look them up (just google charity/non-profit organizations for 3rd world poverty) I'm certain you will find hundreds! You can help by donating money or personally taking action or joining programs which go to these countries and help build schools, homes, hospitals, administer food and medicine, and educate/train people. There are countless ways!

Just remember: although it doesn't seem like your small monetary donation will put even much of a dent on this huge epidemic, and your efforts alone likely won't solve it over night, every little bit does help. Giving outright aid to the developing world solves nothing. The only way to bring millions of people out of poverty is remove regulations imposed on them by the west. The West should allow more trade and investments with theses countries. More importantly the people living in the third world need micro loans, other credit, and capital goods. Other wise they will always remain dependent (and hence subservient) to the the west. Read the book "The Mystery of Capital" on Google Books.

I think that this video is only the first step in coming to the actual realization that this is reality for people in these countries, they live this life every single day. It's amazing to think that we walk on the same earth as these people - but live such different lives. Sitting here watching this video hurts hearts - but it does not change a thing. Unfortunately.
Remember the poor - it costs nothing to.
