almost all characters have a move that can do this trick Fox=this and side b falco=side b wolf=side b kirby=side b and down b marth-down b ike=down b lucario-down b ness-down b and b (i think side b) lucas-down b and b (i think side b) yoshi-down b bowser-down b peach-b and side b ZSS-down air a toon link-down air a sonic-down air a there are other moves too i just don't know or remember.

not really, especially with marth ike and lucario's counter move=you will almost never get hit because attacks will be countered.

My favorite is Kirby's Side-B spring trick.

If you set up a long row of small springs, you can use kirby's side b continuously to sort of glide over the springs.
