  • Nice dude but if you use the butt of the stick you will get a much meatier rim click. Move w the music it directly come out in the feel.

  • awesome work

  • very nice open handed play is better to perform reggae is very nive yor perform as your drumkit blesss

  • So Sick!

  • this is beast

  • just gotta tune up dat snare bro to get dat high crisp pitch then your good. oh and swing the hi-hat rhythm a lil more. GOOD GROOVE!!

  • Were the rimshots jus improvised or are they the same in the song? Jus wonderin see am wantin to record it 4 ma music tech coursework but ders no drum tabs on the internet.

  • The opening fill is the same as in the song. The rest of the time I'm playing a basic "one-drop" but adding some accents with the cowbell and jam block and throwing in some fills when I feel like it. If you look up "one-drop" you should be able to find the rhythm charted out and you can go from there.

  • Ok yeah I know about the one drop riddim thanks anyway

  • dude u play the same way as me what stand did u use for the ride i have to put it ont he left also but my stand always interferes with my hi hat uggh left handers its hard and love bob marley awsome playing

  • dude i play the same way

  • what is the orange drum called next to his snare?

  • its another snare drum. the main snare is a 5x14 gretsch, the orange drum is a 5x10 sonor

  • are you a left handed drummer on a right handed kit??? nice

  • no..i've just been practicing playing open handed.

  • nice

  • pretty cool how it is all funky and really cool nice drummin

  • listen carlton still and still man, but has of the check there.yé good vibes from reunion island

  • Not bad. I'd tighten up the snare a lot more to sound more timbale like tho and try not to over complicate it too much. If you listen to this tune, it's a very simple one drop rhythm with triplets on the hi-hat, there's hardly any improvisation. It's not Bob Marley usual drummer (Carlton Barrett) playing on this. You can tell his style straight away. Nice use of percussion. Post another Bob Marley tune........

  • thanks for the pointers...i'm not really trying to play like the drummer on the recording. i'm just jamming along, trying some stuff out. i recorded it on the anniversary of bob marley's birthday. a little big-up, if you know what i'm sayin'...

  • yeah man I feel ya..respect

  • much respect yo....i love reggae drums and i will be posting shit soon...my style is like D marley, look him up on my page!...peace yo...

  • sick drums man happy birthday to bob a man with a huge soul that made some of the best grooves in the world R.I.P inspiration to me to be happy everyday nothing can bring me down thnx bob for showing that to me R.I.P
