The 3rd F-1 returned back to Base, because of some engine problems, and it didn't complete the mission!!!
During the last War, an IraQi F-1's Pilot tried to take0ff in a Kamikaze mission, he tried to take0ff on a normal highWay, unfortunately the road was in bad setuation and his very low fuel tank just hit the Ground and burned the Plane!!
I can understand the fact that Iraqi's in the state that Iraq's finds itself these days, tend to feel nostalgic and proud by seeing fellow Iraqi's being able to run a air force back in the day. But as an Iranian who lived under constant bombardment of your pilots, on civilian targets, I cannot understand the proud! Proud of bombing innocent civilians? Like in Iran and gassing your own in north and south of Iraq? Or bombing Koveities?

@TheQueenMalika14 had not laser range finders, not night vision, no thermals, there auto loaders were not taken care of so it took 10 seconds to reload a round, it takes trained loader 3 seconds to load a round our turrets are automated they turn by themselves the T-72s and T-62s turrets have to be manually turned which takes a long time our M1s were destroying iraqi tanks from over 3500 meters out with no targeting equipment your tankers cant see that far

Its important to note that alot of the airplanes that were lost, were not actually lost in a dogfight but were either hit on the ground on the egyptian front because the egyptians did not have enough shelters for the hunters, or were lost to syrian sams because of poor coordination between iraqi command and syrian GCI

The Iraqi Army didn't use any of them since the Iraqi Iranian war and now they been gifted to the Iranian goverment after war 2003 in Iraq from the first new Iraqi govermet in 2005..

Certainly, in the 1st Gulf W..our F-1s flew several times, unfortunately, two been shot down in 1day by a Saudi F-15, during their mission for attacking the allies fleet..
The 3rd F-1 returned back to Base, because of some engine problems, and it didn't complete the mission!!!

During the last War, an IraQi F-1's Pilot tried to take0ff in a Kamikaze mission, he tried to take0ff on a normal highWay, unfortunately the road was in bad setuation and his very low fuel tank just hit the Ground and burned the Plane!!
