don't really want too go into genres or sub-genres so everything I indicate I consider "metal" as far as technical "sleep terror" is some pretty brutal shit, the guitarist "luke" is fucking sick. when it comes to intelligent composition "mike" and his band "opeth" is good. with regard to straight forward "chimaira" is cool listening. and how about some good old classic "slayer" if you don't like "slayer" you are so not metal. and a lot of others.
