  • 1.When did you first hear about House MD ?

    2. Who is House MD ?

3.Does House care about his patients?;How does he feel about them?

4.How do you prepare for shooting the scenes?

    5. is there any similarity between you and House?

    6. Why do you think people find house sexy?

    7. Do you think House's personality is gonna change in some way in the future?

8.Why do you think the series is so popular?

Just reposting the questions^^_ great video, thanks for posting.

  • I think House is cult like J.R. in Dallas. I love House and hope there will be much more seasons with him and his fantastic other actors.

  • Oh you funny Americans... Prince George sexy... Perfect for Lisa Edelstein... He is Prince George for fuck sake! Not replacemnet for George Clooney!

  • Hugh Laurie is so cool ! <3

  • Even Patrick Stewart started sounding a bit American by season 7 of TNG. It sounds like Laurie gets the accents mixed up when he starts a sentence then it sorts itself out and he continues with a pretty normal British accent.

  • what was the point of putting the questions in another language when there isn't any subtitles for the times he is speaking in English?

  • i want him...not in a creepy way though

  • wow I dod not know Hure lary was bie lingel.

  • he might be right about House (I hope they solve him in the last chapter or season), but the whys seem to be pretty accurate

  • this interview is so great, I really love Hugh, he's so smart and funny, and damn is he handsome, (although that handsomeness mostly comes from his great and wonderful personality) I really wish I could get to know him better, he seems to be such a great person.

I just wanted to write this, I just wished he could read this, but I know he's to busy.

    =D

    Love you Mr. Laurie <3

  • can anyone translate the questions?

  • @feelgoodhitofsummer 1.When did you first hear about House MD ? 2. • I've been watching Hugh Laurie since I was a kid. Starting with The Young Ones and A Bit of Fry and Laurie. I love him and Stephen Fry.

  • At the start his accent sounds quite American.

  • yeh, he sometimes has slightly american sounding words, for example when he said "ridiculouse" at around 6:15 ...but definately more british then american

  • did u guys even pay attention to him before he became famous in america? lol

  • @jdelrey14 My first experience watching Hugh Laurie was in Jeeves and Wooster on PBS. Loved his work ever since!

  • @jdelrey14

i grew up watching him . Blackaadder 2,3+4 , a bit of fry and laurie , Jeeves and wooster , countless films and tv ...

  • It would be cool if Stephen Fry were on the show House, as a patient or a doctor... who instead of being funny, is startlingly serious.

  • i mean i love house, but i want him doing the stuff he used to do. thisposh amazing english accent doing comedy! come home!

  • Very good character summary.

  • I love Hugh Laurie but it is so weird how he cant see himself as being sexy or how he thinks the show could fail at any time he still feels that way today especially about him being seen as a sex symbol he looks so cute when he blushes ,you can tell he has some self esteem issues ,I love his accent and he is hot

  • Maybe it's because he's smart and smart people don't usually see themselves are attractive, but Hugh Laurie is definitely sexy.

  • @kathycuddles

He's been suffering from severe depression for years and years, that might be why he's very modest and cautious about the show's future.

  • @ZhoZhaal very true I heard that but he did say he is feeling alot better since he attends therapy depression is very hard I myself suffer at times

  • i love hugh laurie :) :)

  • he is a motha fucking chameleon , his eyes change color in relation to the enviroment =D

  • Ok what color are his actual eyes? cause they keep looking different in different interviews and shows

  • @bbBumble28 blue

  • I like blue eyed people much better!! :) thanks!

  • Hugh laurie is from scotland. gg

  • Actually he's british !!!

  • U mean English, british mean Northern Island wales england and scotland

  • House and Hugh are both awsome!

  • looks like hungarian am I right?

  • yeah, it is hungarian. :)

  • his eyes changes color....it used to be blue and now brownish/..cool

  • It's so much fun seeing you people discuss about the american accent and the british accent. I'm dutch and I can hear the difference, but I can't hear that it's mixed, like you say. Btw, I love House M.D. Lovely show.

  • Yes, same for me and I'm French...I find it amazing how everyone is so obsessed with his accent. He's an actor, his American accent is part of his role : House is American and Hugh is English. I think people are confused because he can do both easily...

Btw, House is an awesome show.

  • What about Brad Pitt and his 'Irish'?

    H.L. is a good lad.

  • I wish Hugh was over here doing some more comedy with Stephen Fry...

  • me too

  • @cookieflower I tottally want he to return to britain! We miss him!

  • @cookieflower They're still good buddies, it's not out of the question he might get back with Fry. Just House takes up a LOT of time.

  • @Shodex4 Well obviously they're BFFs.

  • I notice that when he has interviews in the set, doesn't lose the american accent. Like in the bloopers, he keeps House's accent.

hmm but is partially true, his accent is not as clipped as before.

  • kösz a fordítást

  • jó lenne ha a válaszokhoz is lenne felirat

    pls

  • Nah its not reduced his accent, when he is on set, of camera he tries to keep his US accent for practice. And he rarely speaks in his real accent. But after a few weeks in england, his accent is back completely :)

  • working on house all those years reduces his accent :p

  • This is stupid. When he talks there is no subtitles and obviously you have to know English to understand him, but questions are not in English. What's the point of making a video which is targeted only for people who know those both languages, Hungarian and English?

  • True :)

  • wow, he's really losing his british accent.

  • I agree, he sounds somewhat more American than he used to... sort of mixing the two accents, which I guess is inevitable...

  • It will be always words that will primary sound like British accent... it's inevitable... :)

  • @yda1740 I don't agree. He sounds completely british.

  • @yda1740 It looks like he's being interviewed in the shooting scene. That probably means that he is close to shooting periods implying that it is what's affecting his accent at the moment.

  • I find his rugged look so sexy. I love that scruffy beard

  • i hate how u cant read the questions

  • He doesnt take things for granted what an intriguing man

  • How could I tell him that there are soooo many women in the world who find his british accent sexy... I am one of them... hehe... :)

  • Great!.. I'm happy that at least I I've found Hugh's interview about House's character - not about politics, not about politeness in England and USA, and not about his accent!.. I'm interested in House's motivation, his mental and moral changing, and nothing else!.. And I guess this theme is more interesting for Hugh too - he is so lively discussing it/; This is the best interview here..

  • omg he's so shy when being asked about his/house's sexiness =) it's adorable! he just doesn't realize how good he is. and how sexy he is. it makes him even more attractive. i want more House MD.!

  • "unlikely sex simbol"

his attitude makes him more noticed

same with Gene Hunt (Philip Glenister) From Life on Mars/AshesTo Ashes. they like both have ignorent comical attitudes.

  • the thing about house is that his sex appeal isnt about his looks its about the way his character is behaving

  • I completely agree

  • he is hot!! i love him !

  • im all like hes soo hot tomy friends and they all go eww hes so old!! lol

    but hes such a hottie

  • My friends say that too!!!

  • A resonable thing to do would be writing the questions in english so that everyone gets what he was asked. So hungarians keep that in mind when you upload the next video interview.

    House RULZ!!

  • He's got a nice accent, I think. British English definitely is the better language, isn't it?

  • Of course. Everyone knows that.

  • I know! I hate it when people spell words in american english different then in british english, like grey and colour, they spell them gray and color for some stupid reason.

  • Same!

  • It really anoys my English teacher though, so there fore it's a good thing

  • Hahahaha!

  • I've had her for two yyears now, I swear if I have her again, I'm getting a restraining order...

  • Yeah, i know what you mean. My science teacher was allergic to SOAP! It's so nasty.

  • i want to see that film anybody knows where i could download it?

  • I think he is talking about The flight of the Phoenix...torrents are available in many sites...

  • I wish he could eat me out p ;

  • What a great interview! I find it especially cute that any time he is asked about House being sexy, he gets sooooo embarrassed. :-) Anyway, House is sexy because Hugh IS! <3

    Kösziiii!! ;-)

  • I love the way he gets embarrassed about answering the question about House being sexy.

Because he knows that women find him sexy. He just doesn't want to admit it.

But he is HOT as hell! Hugh, wake up, you're one of the sexiest man on this earth!

  • he IS isnt he!

  • That man is very intelligent.

  • It's not luck. It's LOOKS. But he's very modest about it.

  • Well, now we have year 2009. That means 3 years have gone by since the interview.

Guess what? Nobody is bored at all :D

And (as I hope and believe so) the show is nothing like finished right now ;)

Damn great! I'm looking forward to about "534567" more Episodes of House *lol*

  • Homework tonight: watch some Blackadder, a bit of Fry and Laurie then House in quick succession ;)

  • He does an amazing job at hiding his accent you can't even tell

  • lol, he doesn't hide the accent he replaces it :)

  • i love huge larry. he is so awesome as an actor, and i was too shoked when i found out that he act's like stuart Little's dad on the movies... wel that may be becouse i was too used to see him as house.

  • Huge Larry? LOOL

  • I know! Huge Larry LMAO it's certainly original (no offense to Chica) XD

  • wow hes an amazing actor and hides his accent very well its crazy i didnt even know he had an accent

  • Well, he's British.

  • Aww, he's so cute when he gets embarrassed! Hehehe!

  • Brilliant! I didn't know this particular interview clip yet! Where is it from?

  • I don't get the point of asking the damn questions in whatever language that is when you know he's answering in English. It's confusing as hell.

  • It'll probably be dubbed or sub titled before it gets broadcast for its intended network

  • I have been a fan of his for ages, watched him on Jeeves and Wooster and A Bit of Fry and Laurie, but now I am into House I sometimes forget that he is British!

  • I really love him. Soooo beautiful! <3

  • lol his accent is receding

  • I know. It's kinda sad actually. =(

  • No, it's not.

  • It's not sad that he's losing his lovely British accent?

  • No, I don't think so. I prefer his accent like this rather than how it used to be.

  • Either way, it's sexy. ;)

  • I think it's sexier how he talks in House and when he burns someone. It's awesome. I'm from Europe btw, so it's different for me.

  • he's really sexy especially when he is being asked about why house is so sexy:) i love when he becomes so embarassed

  • Wow...so weird to hear him with a british accent, I didn't find out until today that he was British..I had to see for myself.

  • i know what you mean there's no trace of an accent in his voice

  • he's so sexy!

  • anyone notice that his english accent is seeming to subside a bit? I feel his accent has degraded since his days with A Bit of Fry and Laurie...

  • It is indeed becoming less RP. Americans seem not to notice, but it is substantially less pronounced than it was in the '80s and '90s.

  • About the second-to-last question - that's the problem with TV, isn't it? The writers don't begin with the end in mind. If the show is poorly rated, it's canceled; if it gets great ratings, they'll draw out the story. It makes good character development impossible, and it's a huge shame, because House is such an interesting character.

  • Jesus you yanks make me want to heave. He is British get over it it isn't that big a bloody deal

  • Magyar means Hungarian, you idiots!

  • whats the point in having questions written in spanish and then him replying in english

  • I don't really think that's spanish!

  • That's not spanish! The question is, WTF is it?!

  • Hungarian dummy...

  • Hugh Laurie is far more talented than all these other overrated actors

  • agreed!

  • agreed

  • It sounds weird seeming him talk with his normal biritsh accent. The American accent (standard upstate new york/mid western accent0 seems to be very tough to master.

  • um no hugh im sorry, youre not lucky you are a goddam good actor! and so is everyone else on that show not to mention the amazing writing and scripts..so no im sorry the show's not lucky just fing amazing lol

  • "house wants the truth, not approval" that is sooo well said :)

  • He's so damn good at faking the Standard American Accent that he's beginning to lose his own.

  • You have to admire Hugh's ability to master the American accent, ESPECIALLY when his character has to say medical terms over and over again. This man is extremely talented. I've enjoyed his work for years now...he was hysterical as Jasper in 101 Dalmations!! LOL!! And his comedy routines with Fry are classic. the man is amazing...

  • I Agree LOL

  • Why doesn't Hugh speak in his normal accent, what;s wrong.

  • are you serious? this is his normal accent.

  • no. His normal one is a british one.

  • didn't mean that to sound snotty! I just read my own comment and realized it may have sounded snotty. I just mean that he is british and he's speaking with a british accent...

  • well that's me not being able to spot my own counrties accent, but Hugh does seem to have a slight drawl to it.

  • Hmmm...maybe his accent has changed a little from being in the States so much?? It does seem less strong then it was in A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

  • yeah, he told in the interview that his accent is changing

  • Yea, you can tell... Its like a mix of the American and British accent.

  • He is so hot =]

    ily

  • I love house and Hugh Laurie is amazing, but to say that House or a main character doctor being sarcastic, abnoxious, and unlikeable shows he obviously never seen Mandy Patikan as Dr. Jeffery Geiger. Or Alan Arkin playing Giegers doctor Watson but it turns out to be Dr. Arron Shutt. Only thing that is unique is the House/Homes relationship and that Chicago Hope did not have many medical mysteries, but otherwise House Md is in many ways a remake of Chicago Hope.

  • This is just weird, I remember seeing him in Blackadder and Fry and Laurie and it is weird to hear him without his typically British accent, you wouldn't believe this guy worked with Stephen Fry and went to Oxford lol.

  • Meant to say Cambridge sorry.

  • FELIRAT????

  • Why exactly are the questions in not-english when the interview is english...

    :\

  • woah hes so awesome. he has an english accent in real life, but in house, he is mad awesome

  • hearing this voice is so... awkward, but i love it!

  • i know it just doesnt feel right

  • hugh laurie is so flipin hott and his show is da best....it should be on every night and i like da way he acts in house!

  • I find it funny that some people dont realise that Hugh is English!. He is an awesome actor and House is the best thing on tv.

  • I lovvvvvvve doctor HOUSE!!!

    =]

  • It's odd for me. I've always known Hugh Laurie, as a british comedian, and seen him in stuff like Blackadder, as a bit of a buffoon. Then seeing him in House was so weird, and now I'm an utter fan. And it's weird watcing an lapsing between english and american.

  • He doesn't seem pissy at all to me.. Just seems like he's taking the question seriously. And people aren't saying they have a problem with him being British, they're just surprised to find out that he's not American if they've never seen him in something else 'cause his accent is very believable.

  • Its so weird to hear his accent! You just get so used to him talk like an "american" on the show. =]

  • crazy how he goes back and forth with his real accent and the american. but he pulls it off quite well, dont he? hes amazing!

  • yep yep!! hugh laurie is bad ass..

  • OMG its like house but with a different voice and mimics, that british accent is just killing you because you know he speaks american on the show, and imagen how its hard to do it with out the accent.

  • His accent sounds very strange here.

His real accent is MUCH more English than this.

I know he tries to hold his American accent all day, so that he can do it better in the show. But this accent sounds Anglo-American...it's like a weird hybrid.

  • I'm sure a linguist will tell you that accents tend to fade in and out the longer they're used. Take Mel Gibson for example. You'd never know that's he's Australian.

  • That's a point. It's just odd though, because people often emigrate at 20, live somewhere for 50 years and yet retain their original accent! I suppose it must be quite different when you're making a concerted effort to use a different accent though; it probably becomes so familiar to you that it's hard to return. Come back, Hugh! :p

  • It's probably true that the longer that you use an accent, the more integrity your original one uses. You can go back and listen to his accent become more Americanized by watching various talk show clips from 2004 and later. Even his mannerisms have become more American, as Craig Ferguson pointed out.

  • OMG HES BRITISH?!

  • was that a sarcastic comment? cuz i think everybody knew that he's british...

  • no i never knew that!

  • hahhah
