This makes my school look like shit, honestly half those kids are potheads that dont give a rats ass about the bill. But hey, anything to get out of school right? What a joke, scott walker is a champ
@miciw95 uhummmm lmao, cause nobody hates me, and learn proper grammar before you try starting something you obviously won't be able to finish. K thanks. And actually, a lot of our teachers told us to do it.
What are we teaching these kids? I'll tell you what- we are teaching them to speak their mind and to have a voice. Yes, I was one of these protesters and we did this because we love our teachers and families and support them all the way. State workers have a lower income because of the benifits they have and if these are taken away, the best teachers will not want to work for the state and therefore, children will not be given the best education. Kill the Bill!
This seems stupid to me. The best way to support your teachers is to... walk out on them and not attend their class, especially when it appears the school is not behind this movement at all? Without this bill, some teachers would be laid off anyway. Me personally, I would take a pay hit if I knew the alternative was chancing my coworkers and my own job to be axed completely.
Simply put, teachers are the entire reason why children can be brought up into adulthood with a proper education. Is it so wrong for them to recieve the pay that they deserve? The pay that they EARNED? Everyone else who is hurting through these tough times, do what these teachers did: GET A JOB AND QUIT YOUR COMPLAINING! Teachers hardly make enough already.
@smileyyeah I'm sorry, but the teachers did nothing to influence us. They were not allowed. they simply stated that there was a bill concerning them, nothing more. This protest was student-organized, and was free of any teacher participation. The teachers were in school, teaching. We went out regardless of the school and of our governor, using our Constitution-given right to protest. If you disagree with our views, so be it. We were not protesting pay, we were protesting collective bargaining.
screw that principal...im glad the kids are out there protesting...this is effin America....WE THE PEOPLE not WE THE POLITICIANS and definitely not WE THE CORPORATIONS....i see this happening in many states to come and I cant wait til we overthrow this govt and really make it a peoples republic ...rich and poor

I hate how people keep saying that we were told to do this by our teachers, when it was student organized. People need to learn how to read.

God bless the woman in the pink coat. Teachers should be teaching. I think children should not be told what to do by teachers.
When the Economy grows the Governor will pay them more.

@ssrock64 We were protesting the state government taking away Collective bargaining rights, which all private-sector groups have.
