Pretty cool! I can't believe there R about 7,000 crochet videos here! Good 2C the art is still kickin' &all the creative stuff people do with it. I've had my share of business from my original designs but have noticed the market is suffering due 2the economy. Has anyone else noticed this? Plus I moved from the city, now can't really come out ahead driving2the city2do business with the gas crunch. But 4years it helped supplement my Soc. Sec. income & enjoyed every minute! Once Icrocheted 4 21hrs!
Thank you very much and thanks to everyone else for commenting, number of views on this video is beyond expectation. it's a real motivation for our next project, a crochet 3d doll short movie. stay tuned! :)
Thank you jakelic for creating and sharing your stop motion animation. Great how you morphed at last into the text presentation with "textiles" :-). What about applying your technique to represent Stenography in motion, or even better StenoMotion, a new (body-) sign-language, inspired by stenography. I would like to see you a co-creator of this community approach. -- fridemar
The hand is there intentionally. Initial plan was to remove it, but i liked the way it looked in the end. it feels like the hand is playing with the yarn and gives the whole movie a touch of real life and size.
We had a lot of fun making it and there's no message behind it, so I don't think you should look any deeper than it is - just a fun stopanim made as an intro for the forthcoming website.
Thank you for your response. I wasn't "looking" for a meaning, I was just watching, thinking...
"Oh, this is very clever, unique...must show my hubby......
Oh no, that lovely work has been cut up!"
Now, for another idea..just change the ending to spell "PEACE" and lodge it again, under "Stand Up For World Peace". Altough I must warn you, there are alot of crazies out there and the comments are very often very crude.
Post me when you have done it! Best Wishes to you and the crocheter!!
part 2.5. I just had an idea on top of grannyzeebees idea. When you make the man standing up at the end you should then cut off one of his arms and then crotchet the dismembered limb into another man. Destruction is creation. Call me when you have done it. Post-Haste!
That was soooooo COOOL! It must have took you a long time to make a video like that! Nice job! :)

That was a great clip but I have to ask, was it a male's idea to cut the yarn up? It was such a lovely idea - then destruction, typically male!
grannyzeebee 4 years ago
Hi! it was... but creation was also male's idea.
We had a lot of fun making it and there's no message behind it, so I don't think you should look any deeper than it is - just a fun stopanim made as an intro for the forthcoming website.
