i'm not deaf... but i have in alabama. to get there for visits we had to go through a town called cave springs in georgia. there is the GA school for the deaf. i always looked forward to this part of the drive. the town itself is very small and quaint. i think the deaf school is the biggest thing in the town, so most of the shops and market places sign... the whole town is deaf friendly. i thought it was cool when i was young to see so many people signing. such a beautiful form of communication
i chose best hearing people in school. i went to studied in Saint Louis University from philippines. only 5 of us are deaf with hearing people. my most friends are hearing and we help each other how to do research, homework, question, everything. i learned a lot from hearing people. its all thank to them.
hmmm. Its really hard to say which school is the best, of course everyone from their current school would say their own school rocks. But, if one person actually attended to each deaf school, then they would have the right say which school they thought was best. It just really depends on the experience they had there.
BTW, Im from Illinois School for the Deaf, and honestly, ISD is a good school, I have many wonderful experience, but if I were to go to a different deaf school. It'd be diff.

thats funny, because all the schools you mentioned, i went to them except for MD, but i almost went to MD. I dont remember California, but both florida and texas are good schools, but I'd have to pick Texas.
Well...if you want to cheat on education then the best deaf school is Maryland School for the deaf they are owned my Kappa Gamma and no matter how dumb you are as long you agreed to attend Gallaudet University they will bend few rules to get you there just like old MSSD (DC).
i had same thought but i realized there's none not because deaf school considered as worse class in hearing's categories but beacuse all deaf school is the same class, and caused each school to created a comprehensive division. am i clear? or do i need to draw you a better picture?

Clerc school in Arizona (currently "out of bussiness")

That question always is a question among the Deaf World. As of I know right now from words around:
California School for the Deaf, Fremont (for years and bilingualism school)
California School for the Deaf, Riverside (is improving)
Maryland School for the Deaf (for long time)
New Mexico School for the Deaf (because it is bilingualism school)
Indiana School for the Deaf (also bilingualism school)
MSSD, as well but not too clear sure.
And there will be more Deaf school with better education.

riverside CA is the second city with the largest deaf population.
