  • Wish there was more good-quality live footage of Budgie around. Such a great band!!

  • i drank 1 liter of tea with milk..

  • This is a band that deserves to be in the RR Hall of fame, and its a shame that they will never be.

  • i've just spent hours trying to work out that funky intro riff but just can't picture the chords, can anybody help?

  • DUDGIE cool

  • age 15 on holiday 1997,me mates dad said he use to be into a band called budgie,we laughed our heads off and thought no way, terrible, bet they were shit!

now here i am rocking out to a brilliant band!!! sos charl !!

  • the only underrated band that i think has not only an incredible sound, but a high production value.

  • This Rocks I have recently discovered Budgie.

  • geeeez! music without computer? how they did it!:)))

  • One of the best bands I've seen!

Supported Gillan in about '81, Sheffield City Hall - quality!

  • TheBenno57 your comment was spot - on! they practised in my cousins basement when i was a young teenager that,s why i probably naver got into Chart Shit! stezyrezy

  • Cool...

  • One of the best consistent live bands in the 70s and 80s and deserved wider recognition than they received.

  • Its not that the kids dont like it as much as the kids dont understand good music.

  • @msammy07 do u mean kids in general? cuz im 14 and appreciate awesome classic rock and all things rock, old stuff like the who and led zepplin, aerosmith and guns n roses

  • Glen Danzig on drums. :)

  • Most underrated band ever!

  • A tight 3 piece. I like the beginning salsa sounding riff.

  • Groovy as they say it in the 70's!

  • @arnolf i thought that was the 60s? but yh its a totally groovy song! :)

  • amazing song! i absolutley love this!

  • Quality rock, not overstated, controlled and tight. Great video, thanks for posting. Definitely inspried Rush.

  • Live @ Old Grey Whistle Test, the wellish Budgie presents om BBC broadcast, such a moisture of funky with hard blues on a bed.

    So fine!

  • I recon the dislike crew are the impatient people who never got to the 2 minute mark. Great footage, great sound, great three piece.

  • @Honeysucklebommie You're spot on there. When i first heard this song i nearly made the same mistake myself.

  • @Honeysucklebommie i concure mate this band introduced me to quality music

  • Love it! I always thought the sound quality of their early recordings sucked but this looks like it was done yesterday. Nothing better sounding than an SG plugged into a cranked Marshall stack.

  • exellent.

  • fuck!

  • The world's most successful garage band!

  • Tony Bourge is such a fantastic guitarist

  • @DoomMetalSludge Tony Bourge reminds me of Tony Iommi in this vid.

  • @Supertzar999 I was thinking that same thing!

  • Tight band!

  • @0505JESUIS thanks for the share JJ -- great tune! Seriously JJ, are you so desperate that you have to resort to using your fake Janet (single mom from France -- who is not a lesbian -- ha ha) channel to get to her. Give it a rest -- you've done enough damage already. How do you sleep at night? Oh I forgot, it's hard to do without your nanny. BTW -- merry christmas - jeez!!

  • What a fabulous stab from the past!!!! This is sooo good. Now I just need to find some live footage of Armageddon, maybe a little Warpig and Captain Beyond!!!

  • Amazing

  • When I heard this I was like ill have to find out which album its on and get it but it turns out I already have it! it even has this version and the video on it.

  • if the vocals suit the music which - they do - that can sometimes define a 'good' voice and is this case i think it does

  • Great post here. Have loved the original lineup from day 1. But what happened to Tony? His great guitar was the first thing that got my ear. Sorry but it sure was not Burke's vocals. Thx 4 sharing this rare gem.

  • @recman1207

I have to disagree, yes Tony was great on guitar, but Burke's a fantastic singer, as good at soul as rock, as you can hear in the first part of this song.

  • Great band.

At 3:26 it says their debut album is called Lines. That's wrong, it's called Budgie.

  • First!

    Great Track !!!!!!
