@numanuma20 You Know What It Can Take More Talent To Make Techno Than Rock Or Pop When All You Have Is a few Different Electronics You Need To Work Hard To Make It Sound Good And Why Are You Here If You Dont Like Tech House Think Before You Comment
@1gamerkid111 I know what it takes to make a techno song. You need a either a hardware synth, midi keyboard, sampler, computer, drum machine, turntable, mixer, audio interface, and recording software. Yes I know how hard it is to program a synthesizer because I have one and still don't understand what all the knobs and switches mean. I know that even soft synths can be a hard to program, but that's not the point.
Respond to this video... If you listen to this song you will notice that the main instruments in the song is the simple drums loops, synth rift loped, and vocal loop. Add in the effects and you have the formula for a techno or any electronic song.
@numanuma20 Well Even If It Is Simple Mabey Ian Knows That Mabey He Was Trying To Make A Song For People To Dance To Rather Than Analize It And I Will Admit That I Enjoy Just Listening But If You Don't Then Then Why Are You Here Commenting In The First Place
people will always compare...shit.whats the point...this is better...that is better.how old r u people.15 if this tune didnt exist that wouldnt either.
@ghpwner719 Chord Memory is a function that you can find on alot of old synthesizers. It means you can assign a chord to a single key and it is responsible for the sound of alot of deep house and techno in the ninties. It sounds like he used it on this track aswell to get those staby chords.
this track has always been a favourite.. the sequence that enters (the chord memory/phased out part) abour half way into it is awesome. classic deep and moving!
This should be on Ibiza's Chillout Dance Anthems or Ministry Of Sound Chilled House Anthems. I love this tune to be on either of these compliation albums by Ministry Of Sound. This tune has good synthesizers.
k, guys! most of the songs remixed are better when originals, this is better than the remix (im srry dp i love you!<3) but keep in mind they just did a remix, so yea... no hates right?
lol this is awesome quality nice! id give u props if i could ^^
I used to love playing this out, back in '95/96. But what I always wanted to know is which synth Ian Pooley used for the lush sweeping chords that your hear every 4 beats. I'm guessing it's a similar keyboard that Basic Channel used. To me, this is what a proper polyphonic synth should sound like and I'd swap my Moog for one any day !!
This is House. Daft Punk's Remix is awesome, and has more bass, but it just can't compete with a classic house track like this. When i listened to this for the first time, i was like, Fuck this shit Dp's versioin is better. But after so many years, you create a different view on things, and also on music. This track is just mind-blowing from the beginning, and I consider this track as one of the coolest tracks ever made.
If you never sat in a dark room with headphones on, only lit by the red light of your stereo receiver and listening to tunes like this unless you are dizzy and the weirdest thoughts go through your mind, well then I pity you. You missed something.
I totally agree with youngsinful. Daft Punk is great in every sense of the word, but I just think the original Chord Memory is just a tad better. Don't get me wrong though, Daft Punk's remix is still worth listening to
Ugh, no, you misunderstood me because i improperly worded that last comment of mine, THIS is techno, that is playing now...the Ian Pooley Chord Memory song.
I was last thinking of tijamath's comment "...was still innovative, imaginative, colourful" and i was thinking of music i considered similar to that, but its not really considered techno, its more breakcore & jungle and experimental which was the two artists i mentioned.
Both the original and the daft punk remix are very different, daft uses much more "kick" in the beginning, and then uses the vocals to make it shine. Although this original rocks too!
