Awesome musicians, alex acuna on percusion, Abram Laboriel on Bass, Lee Ritenour on Guitar and of course the vocal styles of Michael McDonald. Don`t know who the drummer is though?
MichaelMc Donald, every time I listen to your voice, the lyrics, it takes me back to a time in my life of Memories that our precious and never to return, now my children have grown up listening to you, and its a good life ~ Be blessed, you have blessed all of us ~ Susie Johnson
This song..and I will say it again if not said before...really emotes what music will always be for me. A harmony that takes a soul beyond and lets it fly to the heavens. Michael McDonald...thank you for adding your music to the tapestries of our lives.
yeah lisa fisher-brenda russell and phil perry singing back up. i think that's randy jackson on bass from american idol. ritnour on guitar alias mr. fingers! this is a strong ensemble!
He is easily one of the greatest of all time. I remember the 1st time I heard him as a member of the Doobies. His voice is still just as great today as it was when he 1st started. Only a few people can say that.
i've always been amazed at the difference between his speaking and singing voice. you know how most often you can hear similar qualities between the two--not so with this guy. dwight said it perfectly--this boy can blow.
Although this version seems a bit fast, I think this is one of the great radio songs of all time. Great lyrics - no cliches - , funky groove, and a keyboard accompaniment riff that was revolutionary at the time and copied incessantly afterwords... and an incredible vocal performance. Kenny Loggins and Michael hit a grand slam with this tune.
When he first joined the Doobie Brothers, the leading members thought he would be mostly a keyboardist/instrumentalist. They were floored when they heard how this small white guy could sing... This is a great example of his undeniably unique voice and instrumental talent. Best doobies song IMHO.

in fact, those baby boomers achieved totally nothing after this "new awareness"
they were just there to see the artists and feel great about themselfs for buying a ticket, and that was all they ever did for future generations.
baby boomers are not also called infidels, their just soo immature.
