  • Perfect example of useless technology including iphones and ipads. They come out with the "whole" idea of an invention by pieces so they could steal money from you making you pay more for less. Just like they're doing with the itouch, ipads, iphones. All the "New" features they come with all these devices have been invented at least 4 years bfore they exhibit them. Wake up people, little by little they're inventing stuff that no one could fix so you have no other choice than buying new ones.

  • With Powermat, you still need one cord: the Powermat cord.

  • This product is intended for wealthy, stupid people.

  • my be apple developing this wireless charging on there wireless router airport extreme base station without any additional gadget

  • will it charge my 20" laptop and my power tools?

  • no thx.

  • this is a really stupid product. rube goldberg would be proud.

  • You need a more complicated more expensive device that does the same as what you already have? Is the world now only looking for more ways to "steal" our money? This product ranks up there with the LYSOL® Healthy Touch No-Touch Hand Soap System.

  • "It's totally wireless" my ass. Less efficient than old school charging. Can you use the device when its charging on the powermat, can you simply place your device on the mat without buying recievers for your device, does the powermat support all electronic devices, is the powermat included with the purchase of your devices? And they say that the powermat is innovative and better than regular charging...HA!!!

  • See, the commercials make this look so simple!.... I hate that the Powermat requires those fat, ugly covers to recharge phones. What if I buy another phone? When you think about it, this isn't really advance technology. They just simply combined magnets with nano technology. I know we can do better than this. I'm sure someone is inventing something better (where we don't have to buy extra crap). So far we're saving time, money and our sanity just charging our phones the old fashion way.

  • That bitch looks evil....

  • "buy extra shit to charge your devices just as efficiently as the shit that came with them"

  • I don't see what people see in this thing. It's not worth almost 100 dollars at all. It is pretty stupid actually...

  • "Just drop it in your bag" Yeh bitch but you forgot the wall adapter for the PowerMat

  • this bitch works for skynet

  • Pleas dont hurt me, I'll buy it! o_O!

  • tht easy? it took like 30 seconds to do all tht, instead just plug ur charger, 1 second done.

  • Great video

  • they should build huge pnes of these underground, then u wear shoes like the charge base attachment, and then the electricity goes through your body into any device, although there would be so many deaths tho lol

  • arn't magnets bad for tech stuff? i might be completely wrong but once i randomly put a magnet on my old tv and the picture went all weird and rainbowy (if thats a word). could it cause interference? or am i wrong ant its designed with no flaws?

  • Will this charge a Netbook Battery?

  • Will this charge a Netbook?

  • she looks like a female terminator

  • *deep demonic voice* with power mat... YOU LOSE ALL OF THE CHORDS!!!

  • wireless is cool but who wants to turn there 1/8" think iphone into a 3/4" thick bulk that probably doubles its weight. Neat concept but we gotta make some improvements here guys. One reason we buy the more expensive gadgets is for the portability!

  • damn she should work for skynet.

  • Cool! I like your info JAVIXM

  • OR you could just plug your iphone in to charge it just like everybody else?

  • @wvhunter93

    BLASPHEMY

  • my door mat is way better

  • @abohthlool does it charges you?, using ur shoe as receiver?

so that is where the static shock came from

  • my toothbrush charges wirelessly...

  • ok now try with ipod nano or with any other devies and it does not protect it and just 3 Spells FAILLLLLL ow and the adapter just ads wires

  • I think it's easier to lose those stupid back covers than my chargers

  • she looks like one of those robot salesperson from those futuristic movies like total recall and vanilla sky.

  • imagin being able to charge your "dildo (vibrator)" wirelessly haha.

just put the cover and place on the mat and just place ur vibrator on the mat and your set!

    LMAO

  • I think i'll just stick with the cords,

  • @ReassuringSmile ya me to

  • @Armaangandevia1 I only use 1 cord for my iphone and the rest I charge by USB as well,

  • but but where do the cords go then?

  • WHat the Bleep? HoW do You do That?

  • hhahaahahahahahahahhaahah

plug in ur power matt JUST ONCE ... no fucking DUUUUHHH

  • Paradigm shift inbound!!!

  • That girl looks spooky...

  • What's that last thing she put on there?

  • @Dumbass246 bluetooth headset

  • kan u use it for motorola cliq

  • you guys are to precious. Think about the minimum 2 additional cords going to the power supply - where are they. If you have 3 iphones and 3 ipods in our house it works. Think again so-called geeks.

  • this is only good for that guy who wants to look "futuristic"

  • I would like a giant power mat on the floor and strap a magnetic pad on her placing her on the mat thus rendering her immobile and me having my way with her

  • that is comepltely worthless.... if you cud hold it while charging thatd be nice but u just have to lay it ther...so gayyy

  • You loose the cords but you gain a lot of other little plastic pieces witch you can easily loose

  • they need to make and android version :P

  • @magma9495 rofl

  • maybe in the FUTURE YOU CAN CHARGE IT WITHOUT CHARGING IT...

  • @NME113 it's true. they already created solid state batteries that charge themselves via kinetic energy

  • @NME113 lol dude you are the future

  • @NME113 actually... Nokia is working on that... They're looking to build a phone that harnesses the radio waves and turns them into electricity, so the phone charges automatically. They say it only charges when the phone is idle, as the converter isn't powerful enough to power the phone while you talk or browse the web... but nevertheless... it's coming

  • @NME113 lol nice.

  • @NME113 See. i like the way you think... lmao

  • its stupid to buy because first of all the thing itself costs a lot of money second of all you still kinda plug in the device

  • cool concept... i want one.

  • i HAVE A POWERMAT, I BOUT TO GET MY MONEY BACK, IT POINTLESS IT DOESN'T CHARGE ANY THING. IT ONLY CHARGES THINGS WITH A RECIEVER WHICH COST MORE THAN A REGULAR CHARGER . POINTLESS. I DONT CARE HOW COOL IT LOOK. THAT SHIT REDICULOUS

  • so you are very stupid. before buying something, get informed. I dont even own one and i know you need a special case.

    omg you are stupid

    dont cry.

  • o.k. my girl brought it for me for valentine. you rude piece of shit. my girl brought it. you know what a girl is dont you. the powermat chargers your device slower then a plug in charger. it is point less. plus the money you spend on that bullshit you could be save for some else that isnt bullshit.

  • If it was a gift then why are you complaining about the price?

  • Neat video!

  • any electromagnetic radiations ?

  • They misled 80% of the people that bought this by selling it as "wireless"

  • Enjoyable to say the least. The vulgarity I see here must be from morons with a lack of vocabulary using substitutive words to describe their own low self esteem?

  • O__O

THIS IS SOME UMBRELLA CORPORATION SHIT

    THIS WAS SCARY O__O

Man, these electrons and shit are fucked up XD... I will NEVER buy this things, it is fucking scary !!!

  • she reminds me of the chick that cured the cancer in "I Am Legend" and then they all turned into zombies and shit.

  • wireless is kinda misleading, when I think wireless it means "anywhere" also.

here you still need to put your product on the mat. it doesn't charge wherever.

  • what about if i have a digital camera, would it still work

  • yes.

  • no, it no works on cameras... you need a special case. Maybe in a future you could charge it whitout the case....

    FUTURE IS COMING

  • great device

  • she looks like one of those people that say how good shit is and talks about how this is the future then all a sudden fucking powermats start killin people and shit and the wolrd goes to shit.

  • @7191993a LMFAO dude i was thinkin the same thing while watching it but u beat me u bastard lol

  • @7191993a HAHAHAHHA nice

  • @7191993a thanks for the thumbs up for 6 months lol

  • @7191993a oh and you forgot to say shit :)

  • I don't think it would be worth the extra bulk / eye sore of having the receiver on your device. Not to mention the cost of buying a receiver for all of your devices.

  • this is not a wireless. The receiver has a wire to plug it on the wall, so it is the purpose to purchase this device. It is useless! In addition, u need to get that cover on ur cell phone and leave them in a certain place for that device. Anyhow, I would give this product( 2.5 out of 5)

  • ok dude, it's meant to charge a whole bunch of crap at a time.... i don't think battery or solar would cut it, so there has to be at least i wire into the wall.... it still charges yer phones and DSI's without the charger...

  • how do you put the reciver on your device the square thing on the back of the object please write back im getting one and i need to know how to use it

  • depends on the device, mate...

  • dont say its totaly wireless... you have to plug it in with a wire... and the device has to be connected to something but great product im going to buy it... and on like any device like the ipod touch do we connect the case into the 30pin usb part??

  • OK that is nice, BUT imagine that you HAVE to use your phone while charging, for EXAMPLE your phone is going to die, how it would look like ?

  • they really dont talk much about the giant magnetic piece you have to doubled side tape on the back of your electronic device do they...."with powermat you loose the cords, and ad bulkness to your electronics... i would rather pick my sleek iphone over cordless anyday

  • Can it work on a 30 GB -Classic- Zune? You know, the ones that are built like tanks.

  • i was wondering the same thing...and am thinking not. sadface.

  • not exactly new technology.

and this chick is annoying as fuck

  • she was acting to hard, like it was something revolutionary! o.O this been out for years, its just out commercially now!

  • 99% of "revolutionary" stuff have been out for years, and just released commercially so... the fact that it's accessible for everyone is revolutionary...

  • Image adding some awful looking after market battery door or case to your already slim device just so you can save 1 second of plugging it in.

  • The way I understand it, you plug a wireless censor into your phone, which transmits signals to the phone and the back of the phone using magnetism. Which hints why she uses magnets so much. It's draws in the power source of the phone to the mat and wha-la, you have charging capability. That's the easiest way. But you can't just drop the phone on the mat without the back on it because then it would merely do nothing...just sit there. So maybe this is a good idea...if it doesn't ruin you're phone

  • @pingwinluv You're saying it oppositely.... what's the use of it? drain the phone's battery? XD

It "charges the hone" meaning "It draws power from the OUTLET TO THE PHONE" not "draw the power from the phone."

You buy powermat accessories to attach to your phone and give it wireles charging capabilities..

  • thats really coll, definately on my xmas list

  • wow thats awesome!!

  • I can't wait to get this gadget because I don't have enough cancer in my body yet.

  • huh

  • @jeffjenn5656 why would this cause cancer? there are electric fields around you all the time

  • What about the bulk and weight it adds to your phone?................ No thanks

  • this bitch is crazy

  • umm i think ill stick to the factory charger that comes with my electronics and save the money i would spend on this piece of junk.

  • Frankly having to keep track of cords, fumble around for them behind furniture, and of course plugging them in all the time is a real pain. Not to mention saving the outlets for other stuff. That and it's not hugely expensive. I'm just curious if I coudl sync my zune wirelessly while it's charging on one.

  • 0:38 Uagh! Did she just say magnets? Like in I am supposed to expose my significantly _metallic_ devices to FUCKIN' MAGNETIC FIELDS FOR HOURS?! What kind of stupid idea is this? I am sure she will be very surprised, when she will be carrying one of those steel-cased cells and her pocket will just get stuck to the wall of an elevator.

Ah, and it must have a wonderful charm when you have a pacemaker. Especially when your gadgets finally get magnetized right!

  • Oops, 0.34 , my bad.

  • I'm pretty sure if the magnets were that powerful it would take a much bigger cord, not to mention have ripped her earrings out. Lastly if it were that dangerous it never would have been allowed to be produced. Besides lots of tech has magnets in it these days and work just fine.

  • Come on, get serious! I was talking about prolonged exposure, not short term effects. Have you never placed a piece of metal next to a magnet and left it there for a long time? It becomes a magnet itself too after a while. Even if it would not make your device a powerful magnet it could magnetize it to an extent, that could cause problems. Like holding your now lightly magnetic cell in the same pocket where some magnet-card is held.

  • Yes, you can transfer magnetism to other metals by contact, but even with prolongued periods of time it's still weak at best (as you even said so) and in fact weaken over time. Second, it actually takes a pretty strong magnetic field to ruin most cards. Like I said, most things things days have magnets in them and never have problems. Hell, I carry around magnets in my pocket and I've yet to ever ruin a card. My stereo speakers also have some pretty potent magnets and again, no problems.

  • The only practical application for that technology is for electronic go-carts lol

  • lol i dont know why but when she said "Plug it in, just once" that pissed me off lols she dragged that "s" out

  • A+ for innovation.... F for practicality. It would be a lot better if devices were made with built in wireless charging adapters, it would be even better yet if the device didn't even have to be touching the mat

  • Give it a couple years, it's coming

  • And transmitters to send that amount of power through the air we live in? May as well go live under a radio tower...

... which probably still wouldn't produce enough to charge anything. Besides, since when is setting your cellphone down on a table impractical? I do it on a daily basis.

  • @TheNdoki That wouldn't give off much power. Besides, induction currents aren't even in the same category as radio waves or any other wave.

  • can i charge my sony erricsson w595 on that power mat

  • Dunno if I'm the first to ask or realise this, but isn't it a praticularly BAD idea to have magnets that close to a device that has a hard drive in it? or is the magnetic field to small to effect it?

  • LOLZ!!!! Your thinking of PC HDD(Hard disk drives). Phones and other technology use digital storage, which are unaffected by magnets. And it is actually not wireless charging as they make it sound like. It is actually based on the same principle of a transformer.

  • yeah except the ipod she has uses a minuature HDD drive, soo probally why theres the dock there

  • @crazyguyforhire Your wrong, iPod's don't have HDD. Like i said all phones and small gadgets use digital storage. You really think that a small computer hard drive wouldn't be destroy the second someone started to walk or run with an ipod in their pocket. Also @TheNdoki, they don't transmit the "power" through the air. It is the same concept as a transformer and not very complicated. Its just a neat way of implementing old technology into peoples everyday life.

  • @sfger nope

  • hahaha I love reading the comments for this piece of shit! The ipod dock is particularly retarded!

  • at first i thought this was sick. at night i just put down my phone ipod etc. then itll shut off when my stuff is charged and dosent kill the batery. then i saw the price 100 dollars. then 40 per case thingy. if your only gonna charge three items for each spot thats 120 on the case and 100 for the matt/ thats 220 dollars wasted so i dont have to plug my phone in and i plug a mat in instead. stupid.

  • god, why does america make these cheesy shitty adverts

  • When I heard about this thing I was wondering how the hell does it work.

Turns out you need to put a big fat adapt to all of your devices or you can use the universal adapter that touches the mat at one end and has a wire coming out of the other.

    Lose the cord?

    Not really.

  • Lose the cord..gain the adapter case..ugh its a lot cheaper to just charger devices as normal

  • with powermat u lose the chords but cant use it wile its charging this seems like the stupidest thing ever

  • she reminds me of a pornstar

  • i think these guys should be sued because it uses wires and direct contact especialy when the technology is out there.

  • Uhh.. Seems like a bitch to do since you can't even pick up the goddamn thing while its charging.

Cords that allow you to pick it up still... or a big ass mat? I just can't choose.

  • The IPod thing is particularly stupid, you need the bloody dock to put it in! Why not just charge it in its own dock? Gee, that's rediculous.

  • Its wireless charging.....with wires and stuff! Oh, and by the way, go ahead and throw this HUGE 40 dollar battery thing on your phone while youre at it. Fucking sign me up!!!

  • Portable case with cool magnetic closure ? Im sold !

  • do you have to have a reciver for everything that you charge?

  • @gtime32 yeah, the charger would induct a current in the receiver and run it into your device

  • im just saying that this would cost a whole lot of money, the mat alone is $100 plus and the receivers

  • @gtime32 I agree. not worth the minor convenience boost

  • she's a bit of a douche

  • so, in order to charge your phone you also have to buy the receivers?

100 for the mat itself and another 40 or so for each receiver? thats pretty pricey.

  • WOW! this is soooo fuckin stupid! I was like amazed up until she said that you have to put on some sorta jacket thingy for everything! i thought it was just like u put it all on and walk away! SO RETARDED!

  • yeah

  • it seemed fake

  • is there a receiver case for ipod touch 1g?

  • no only 2g

  • Hmm... thank you pretty lady. :)

I was excited at the possibility to charge my Nintendo DS but when she said DS Lite or DSi... that means my old bulky DS might not work. :(

  • wicked awesome ! xD

  • Does this device work with my wm cell phone?

  • Am i the only person that thinks this is the most useless invention since the pet rock? And the Best Buys commercial could'nt be more misleading. They dont even show this stupid mat, and give you the impression that all the people walking around in the commercial are charging on the go. If I ever met anybody stupid enough to buy this product, I will straight bitch slap them.

  • soo how about an ipod touch ?

  • huhh? so.. can i plug my phone into this thing or does it have to be something she mentioned?

  • i have to say, this is probably the most useless device i have ever seen...this thing is 4 times more trouble than using a cord. Id rather use a cord than have to slip on covers and crap. if you need to charge multiple devices from one outlet, you can do what i did and by a usb hub that will charge as much as 6 items at once or more.

  • and also, the point of a case is to protect your ipod, the case is an electronic device and can be damaged easily. its still cool though. i like the idea of haing one at a hotel.

  • also, what if you want to use your device at the same time your charging, that will be pretty hard and anoyying

  • it probably can only charge 3 at a time, what a waste, and the magnitude isn't even strong enough to hold the device at more than a 45 degree angle, what they need to do is make it so you can hang your devices from upside down, and make it bigger so it can hold up to like 10 devices, and make the iphone and ipod ones with out cases because some people like their cases, and if you have a invisible shield it wont fit on

  • commercial industries aren't very efficient for the most part

  • its kinda dumb cuz u need to move it around till it gets the divice it gets kinda annoying

  • they say to lose the cord, but yet the mat itself have a cord

  • now i gotta buy a cover for every electronic thing i got thats stupid just plug your phone in and get on with your life

  • It's cool and all but there's no way in hell I want to attach anything like that to the outside of my phone. You know what else works good?....Plugging things into the chargers they came with, saving the money this thing will cost you.

  • It's kind of pointless..

  • does this work for a sidekick ?

  • fricken awsum i want it so bad my bird wont have any cords to shew up now

  • This is nice for when I need to charge my phone,ds,etc when I'm on trips like in hotels.Mainly because the rest of the family needs to charge theres and it seems to be energy efficient as well.

  • Comment removed

  • This is just for lazy people who cant be bothered to plug in one fucking plug

  • More hastle in my opinion

  • ouvarov:

    fail

  • I thought this was pretty cool until i saw that you have to use an adapter for each object. I want to be able to just put my device on it and have it charge, not buy an expensive adapter :I

also, it needs to lay flat on the mat, so you can't use it while it's charging, and I always am using my phone, and psp while it's plugged in.

needs more work. no adapter.... that would be nice.

  • phones and other things could have it built in like dell z but i'm not sure how they would do it with it while being able to use it

  • not posssible and i agree with you its a rip off

  • nice body id tap thaat

  • niceeeeeee (Y)

  • the catch with this product is that it cost $100 for the mat itself and it comes with no recievers. the recievers are about $40 each.

  • riddick0846: That's not true, it does come with a receiver.

  • not when i tried 2 buy 1
