From the factory, the 6R4 isn't turbocharged and wasn't in Group B rallying. I don't know about this example though. In rallycross, they often were turbocharged.
@JustMessing1 its naturally aspirated, the engine is used in the jaguar xj220 where is it has a bi-turbo, making it one of the fasts cars in the world.
Nice sound, BUT, if you wanna hear something deranged may I recommend the BRM V16 1500 cc supercharged from the fifties. The most frightening piston engine sound ever. Like there is a caged demon inside screaming for blood.
@JustMessing1 No they arent turbocharged. A couple of owners like Will Gollop had his capacity reduced to 2.3 litre and had twin turbos fitted but as 6r4's rolled out the factory they werent turbo charged at all.
not sure of the bhp to ton but its a clubman 300 spec 6R4, so 300bhp. Yep it is a beast, if you want to see alod of them together they are going to be at the rallye sunseeker on feb 27 / 28 there will be a big gathering of 6R4's and will be doing demo runs
It's NA. Hence the 3 L volume. During the group b era no car could exceed 3 L with any sort of charging (2857 cc according to wikipedia). Dunno if this car was turbo charged after group b was banned though, if that's the case then JustMessing1 is correct.
You should hear what its like when you are driving it! Im good friends with the owner and he let me drive it round an estate a couple of months back! An unbelievable experience and the power is phenomenal! :D :D :D
Im sory, but if that is an original 6R4 and by the engine noise it seems so, it´s arround 400 hp at least... this was a group B car my friends..

MG/Rover's biggest mistake was making this car N/A,
If it was turbocharged it would of done way better, had the right platform just couldn't keep up with the big fan powered monsters.

i go to rally cross events in pembri and places like that and they had this 600 bhp 6r4 there which made me fill my kegs man quite simply awesome
