My charger or laptop isn't even saying that. It's not showing that it's plugged in at all and I've had my Toshiba laptop for 3 years and it's never been a problem but now my laptop is down to 34% battery life and I'm trying to charge it! HELP!

guys, my battery stays at 97% when its plugged in and says plugged in, not charging and then sometimes recharges after a while when my computer is turned off, any help on how to fix?

make shur that it is not in air plane mode and if it is a dell check ur power adapter that the centre pin the signal pin telling the laptop that it is a genuine charger

@oscarsanders07 Same here. My laptop Adapter had a short Dell said its my motherboard exc. exc. So i got pissed with them and said NO ma laptop charged fine on ma dads laptop charger just send me a damn charger and they sent me one today and came in and said plugged in and not charging and all i did was unplug and plug and turn it and it works

unplug it and shut it down then take out the battery plug in the adapter again and start up press start search "device manager" press batteries right click microsoft ACPI and disable it now shut down again unplug and put you battery back in and plug back in and start up it should work but you cant see the icon idky?

To fix it,shut down the laptop.

Get the battery out for 5 minutes.

Then, it will say "plugged in, charging."

Hope it worked!

looks like it is going back in fourth from plugged in to not plugged in so check the connection or maybe you have a worn/broken charger

All i know is that just turn your laptop off and leave it alone for awhile and then turn it back on and see if that will work if so plz give thumbs up

For me this worked-

1) One thing you could do is take the battery out and have it on the charger. Keep the battery out for a few minutes. Then put it back. It should start charging.

2) OR you could restart it and it starts to charge (at least for me) but I hate doing that.

I know how. I have vista I believe it is similar to 7. Im going to make a short video. its a 4 step process and takes less that 5 minutes even less than 3 if you're familiar with your computer. just check on my channel tommorow at noon. im making the video tommorow.
