  • This guy sounds like forrest gump.

  • Steve Jobs? :O

  • Why not just use a straw?

  • "Now you don't have to sup coffee from a bag" then later on they call the "cup" a bag

  • youtube should make a ''search comment'' button..

  • Why does it matter!!!

It seems to take longer to drink from the cup than it would from the straw

  • @ACreativeERROR because we want to be space people, not people in space.

  • hes still sucking at it.... And how much money did they spend to develop that... fucking idiots.

  • I want this video on my KT770 unit.

  • this guys so smart

  • That must be some very weak coffee,or is just Mexican tap water who knows!

  • imagine if you drool in space....

  • looks like honey...

  • thats one small sip for man...

  • that would suck ass if you spilled, droplets would go up, down, left, and right.

  • @buggyiscool It would more likely go the same way as you spilled, unless they bounce on another surface.

  • Like a Boss

  • @KingCupcakesfly I never saw Ron Paul in this video...

  • Looks like fucking syrup

  • They should just put fluids like this inside of plastic containers like they put freezy pops in, just slurp it out, derp.

  • i want to see charlie sheen smoke crack in space

  • Juice Boxes for Astronauts!

  • Steve Jobs didn't die...

    He's demonstrating his IPouch...IN SPAAACCCCEEE!!!!

  • TAX DOLLARS HARD AT WORK.

  • at least nobody can knock your glass over and spill it

  • Wow, that is one weak cup of coffee. Come on, these guys are modern day hero adventurers, exploring the far edges of possible human existence... can't we get them a decent cup of coffee?

  • its this zero g?

  • Isn't it possible for the coffee to somehow go up in his nose as there is no gravity?

  • @astronomer86 You use muscles to swallow...

  • @astronomer86 he can still blow air out of his nose.

  • @astronomer86 Yes, that is why you must use your tongue to force the fluid to stay put :D

  • @astronomer86 Not if he swallows it....

  • @astronomer86 A human doesn't rely on gravity to eat/drink, there are muscles pushing it down in our body, hence you CAN drink upside down.

  • if they were russsian it would be vodka ;P

  • looks like the shittiest coffee in the universe

  • i wish i was in something really important like in a secret society/service, kind of like a men in black... how amazing would that be?

  • 1:52 yeap thats whiskey lol

  • watch my human drinking tea on earth!!! on my channel :) enjoy

  • Worldwide, cup makers are planning mass redesigns of their current offerings.

  • now show me how to drink coffee on earth

  • Thanks for letting us know this. Because I'm in space right now, I was browsing youtube on how to drink coffee in space because I didn't know how before.

  • Coffee , my ass ... Thats gotta be whiskey

  • You call that coffe? It looks like a mix between syrup and tea... Coffe should be strong.

  • like. it comes out of a bag.. i saw a straw or some sort of tube on it.. what's so wrong about the bag ?

  • looks like pee!!

  • no, you're still sucking out of a bag. just shaped different..

  • That dont look like coffee!

  • Does your organs float around like that in your body in zero g?

  • I want to see zero-g sneezing panda!

  • how this go to your stomach if its not graviti????is it inside ur ody....damn iam confused

  • This is what we waste our tax money on?

  • Comment removed

  • you are a scientist so you are inteligent.. why dont you use a straw??

  • Americans and their weak coffe....

  • Obviously, the next step is a zero-G espresso machine...........

And a pox on all the idiots who haven't realized just what a small piece of the budget goes to NASA. Political choices sold by lowest common denominator are what stand between the problems of the world & what scientists & engineers could do about them right now. Don't drape your lack of curiosity in moral frills. Or your resentments.

  • This exceed what magic can do!!

  • Cool, now send them cheesy movies.

  • Cool guy, but I still want my tax money back, like now!

  • @Richdelacruz2000 Ok, here's your nickel back.

  • @Richdelacruz2000 LOL you're complaining about scientific achievements? If I were you I would complain about the money that goes into defence and war-mongering. Atleast with space exploration you're generating knowledge and BENEFITTING human kind rather than killing people.

  • @ragemoarnoob

Your right, its simple, ignore all the drug problems our world is plagued with, all the starving children, a doomed economy, and focus on space exploration, just what the would needs, a space coffee cup.

go mankind!!! i dont know if your living in the same world as me but we must fix yourselfs be for space exploration will ever be a reality.

i bet you voted for obama too....

  • @Richdelacruz2000 Might I remind you that despite efforts for thousands of years, poverty and other hardships have been reduced, but never eliminated. Even to do so, in theory, would take a massive amount of resources. Meanwhile, some engineer looked at a fuel tank the right way and taped some plastic together and bam! Astronauts won't get burned tongues from coffee.

Not to mention, our only hope of supporting a greater population is interplanetary expasnion, so... you're wrong. On every level.

  • @EpimetheusLC our ONLY hope of supporting a greater population is interplanetary expansion? if that were so then we would be doomed.... People like you are the reason problems don't get fixed. You think that just because a problem will take "massive" amounts of resources means it's not worth solving. Did you know the amount of money spent on the War in Iraq was enough to end world illiteracy. Thats a real fact btw not an opinion.. don't believe everything people tell you...

  • @Nunew1234 You're an idiot to be honest. It's inevitable in the future that the Earth will be become a deathbed. It's only a matter of time before we seriously attempt to colonize other planets. Solving world literacy won't do jackshit for that. Did you know military power is what runs the world? Like hell the most powerful countries care about ending world literacy you moron. Oil, money and weapons is what runs the world, unfortunately.

  • @Nunew1234 You can't end world illiteracy with money. You're living in a dream world.

  • hey guys stop hating on him this guy is mind-blowingly smart and I would know because I no him and his family. He is One of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

  • im sorry but this seems kinda pointless.

you are in space... its an enviroment where you are expected to make concessions. No gravity, so then... no cups.

At least when its in a bag its not going to spill no matter what mistakes you make. the point is to drink the coffee yes, not drink it from a plastic psuedo cup because it some how reminds you of home.

anyways.. rant over. redundant plastic space cup... NFTW.

  • @CyberNeticRodent they simply adapted the same concept to the fuel tanks if you listened carefully, this is just to explain just some of the ingenious simple solution's nasa has come up with.

  • @Serveck Actually, if you listened too and correctly understood the video yourself. This is what they 'already' use within rocket fuel tanks (0:40 & 0:58) and this novelty space cup was inspired from it.

    the coffee cup

  • Looks like somebodies piss

  • thats some strange looking coffee

  • This video went viral on El Salvador

  • you mean drinking iced tea in space

  • listen to me if you wanna drinking coffe, drink it in a cup, not in plastic =/

  • . . .do you even need a cup?

  • lol @ his voice

  • Now I'm wired on coffee in fucking outerspace and feeling a little claustrophobic at the moment.

  • what happens when they want to pie ??

  • @zawette to pie?

  • in america coffee=colored water

  • One astronaut one cup.

  • Removes it from a closed container with a straw and struggles to drink it out of a cup........makes sense...

  • That just proves physics wrong.

  • Hmmmm, note to self, space porn may work out because of this invention

  • nastay

  • You can cumshot yourself in space - I think so ! :))

  • Next time show me how to pee with zero gravity.

  • bloody americans always complicating stuff. why invent a pen that writes in space when you can just use a pencil?!

  • @vodka721 Pencil shavings, graphite smudges and broken pencil fragments can damage sensative equipment. Eraser shavings also will drift around with the other items.

  • This is really genious, really.

  • What I dot get is his insides like stomach acid and all that liquid stuff in our body floating inside us too?

  • @allensanchez1990 the ship is pressurized and there isn't much free space inside of you so there really isn't a lot of room for stuff to "float" inside you.

  • don't litter

  • A great way to aspirate in space!

  • just use a straw ffs.

  • @InferusExitium straw in an open cup won't work in microgravity. However a straw shaped like that cup was (teardrop) might actually work in an open cup.

  • @idgarad if the straw is full of liquid why wouldn't it work?

  • Comment removed

  • But this would work for a hard plastic, glass, wood, metal, whatever you wanted to make your space drinkware out of, ne?

  • The fuck is Steve Jobs doing?

  • @AstralFXTech ...That's damn funny.

  • @AstralFXTech I was just about to say that.

  • @AstralFXTech he left earth to be in space :)

  • that's coffee? looks like apple juice!

  • Steve Jobs is pretty good at drinking coffee.

  • Who the hell does a toast with coffee or tea?

  • For being an astronaut, the narrator sounds like a 5 year old.

  • Cool cup but it looks like a weak brew they're drinkin'. I'd make them some A-wash.

  • Can't you use a straw?

  • @FrigidFlare Maybe there isn't enough pressure in the cabinet to make a pressure difference? dunno maybe.

  • @FrigidFlare no you can't... a straw relies on atmospheric pressure which is barely present in space.

  • @druxka There's air in the spacecraft right? And the air pressure will be just right or else the astronauts wouldn't survive long in the cabin without a suit.

  • @FrigidFlare hmmm good point.

  • @FrigidFlare The americans used decades to develope a working space pen which could withstand no gravity, they spent millions so the ink could reach the bottom of the pen.

    The russians used a pencil.

Same thing here.. America take years of developing a way to drink liquid while the russians used a straw.

  • @iDontbreakPS3 Try looking up your factoid sometime. Both space programs, US and RU, used pencils, which were a constant danger to onboard equipment. The space pen was a definite improvement. Also, have you considered that hot liquids through a straw in zero gravity pose a risk? At all? Have you noticed at all that Russia and the US have been collaborating for years? That NASA astronauts have been drinking through straws for years, and this makes it possible to do without? No? Oh well...

  • @FrigidFlare the whole point was to get away from the bag and straw, also to explore the science

  • @FrigidFlare would you use a straw on earth

  • what happens with all your stomach fluids in the space?? dont you puke everyting??

  • @facundofarias88 surface tension would keep all that clinging to the inner surface of your stomache

  • boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiing

  • Good thing the earth has gravity, otherwise kids would never stop playing with their food.

  • your wasting your time in space doing that? SEND ME TO SPACE.

  • kewl

  • We found Steve Jobs, he was hiding in fucking space.

  • The astronaut looks like Steve jobs

  • That's Beeeer

  • coffee or diarrhea?

  • Haha, they call THAT coffee? ^^

    Looks more like Ice Tea.

  • 2:24 - 2:26 had me perplexed... at first I was like, wow cool, space coffee, then this little scene comes along and it's suddenly like walking in on someone that was in the middle of having sex if you know what I mean...

  • um wouldnt u choke in space since gravity is responsible for allowing the foods and fluids we dring fall to our stomach?

  • @Bluedash3r Actually, its not gravity. It is the action of the muscles that push the fluid down to the stomach.

  • @Bluedash3r nope, the second you swallow, the start a wave of peristaltic movement until your food reaches your stomach. It's also the reason why you can drink whilst doing a handstand.

  • hows does scientist shit? lol doesnt it come back inside? :P

  • @hasantariq123 they shit from their mouths

  • @Bluedash3r like you? :P :D

  • @hasantariq123 Exactly what I was thinking, How do they digest anything?

  • @no7shark lol yeah.. digest is not the problem how do they shit hahahah :P

  • is that a coffee? it's brown

  • JUST DRINK THE FUCKING COFFEE ALREADY

  • This is completely fake. Pause at 2:25 and you will see that a yellow frame had been placed over the clear cup to mimic the appearance of cofee.

  • Steve Job is still alive!

  • This is fake, all done with cgi.

  • I´m glad to see those cosmonats making relevant discoveries for human kind!!

  • @Heinekeem Yeah.

  • WEIRD

  • yea, when i celebrate i drink coffee and tea!!!

  • @Nemesis2k14 your a troll.... moon landing is fake LMFAO

  • Is that Steve Jobs?

  • what happen with food after we eat? will it goes up after we swallow it?

  • thats coffe?! more like thé! we in sweden has alot stronger coffe like tar in colour and in strength. and personally i have, by swedish deffintions, strong coffie. so strong that most swedes cant drink it yet alone americans... XD

  • At least Americans actually made it to the moon! Powered by weak space coffee FTW

  • Steve Jobs after an excellent shave :D

  • just drink it from a bag whats the difference? rofl

  • I introduce the iCup

  • Resuming

We stop sucking coffe from a bag to suck it from a cup.

    !!!

  • That doesn't look like coffee. It looks like cat urine

  • @wizardstf1 How mature. My personal preference on coffee is not a personal insult against you and all the american people.

  • True that.

  • it iz amaizing!!

  • We shouldn't fuck our coffee from a bag? 0:00

  • Amazing, I want to drink coffee and tea weightless it looks so fun... I wonder what smoking looks like?

  • lol, he's still tipping the bag upside down hoping the liquid can get into his mouth

  • @amell0000 You live under the influence of gravity for your entire life. It's a tough habit to break.

  • imagine the food and liquid they have to live on. bleck.

  • 好好玩喔

  • and the crowd goes wild?

  • That's so friggin cool

  • We call this type of coffey.... weasel piss

  • why dont they just sip it from the bag? jesus fucking christ NASA this is like the whole NASA high-tech pen vs Russian standard-pencil thing all over again.

  • i love to much my cafe to go in space on a mission a drink that shit!

  • Comment removed

  • Steve Job?!

  • why does it look like its make in a urinary waste collector bag? lol

  • American coffee = slightly coloured water.
