yeah, man i hate how games are drifting away from split screen co-op. i can never find good games with co-op for me and my brother to play.

It's because they're striving to be technically brilliant and to use all the power they can harness, this means rendering twice the amount by having 2 players with their own view on one system will either be too resourcefull for the console, or the graphics and such will have to be reduced dramatically, possibly cutting out key game elements too like freeroaming large maps.

It's also encouraging people to play online, which is what many developers will want.

Crackdown is a great game - it's just physically impossible to play co-op on a single TV with such a large and detailed world. (as ABadFeeling said) I'm sorry this means you can't play with your brother, but they really didn't have a choice. Give Crackdown a chance, you and your brother could still have fun on single player together - hey, there's a demo for it, try it out ;)
