Just wondering, I got an HD6870 (still only have 2 monitors but 3rd one coming) I am able to make an eyefinity desktop no prop, but when I actually start a game like L4D2 it will mirror the first monitor, no eyefinity what so ever, dual monitor connected with dvi. Any idea? All games are going into mirror mode...

@doorOfSouls just start playing the game, the menu is pre rendered so it doesnt support surround gaming but once you start playing it will work

Radeon hd 5870 eyefinity use 6 monitors. but imagine using 5 monitors expanding horizontally your field of vision will have almost 360 degree. Great for cod.

You should buy a triple head vga adapter and use 3 screens and then your sights would be centered, good video just the same. I've thought about doing this but need a way to offset the aiming sight.

no you would need three monitors to place the crosshair on the primary screen. cause the game has to be centered.

How did you actually do that?

When I try using a custom resolution with -w/-h spanning over both monitors in other Source games, it won't work.

Didn't try on L4D though.

hey, question: if the monitors are the same size, if you simply run the game does it run full screen on the primary monitor? can you move the mouse between the game and the 2nd monitor??? cheers

Best way to do this is to set the game to windowed mode on the primary monitor, then get a program like AltDrag to resize it so there aren't any borders. This way you get "fullscreen" on one monitor without the game minimizing on you. Just press Esc. To get into the menu and you can move your mouse out of the window on to your other monitor. hope this helps.

Yes, I do it all the time, but sometimes when you switch to the other window while playing a game it crashes. The game also gets minimized when you switch windows, which can be annoying.
