Hi everyone and thanks for the great comments. Sorry I've been away for so long. I've been offline for quite some time but I'm back on at least for the moment so I'll try to be a bit more prompt with my replies.
hixsy has given what I'm told are the correct chords although I'll admit I haven't tried them yet but the ones I've been using which I just played around with until I though they sounded close enough for the key that I wanted, (lower than the original) are as follows:
I LOVED it! I am just starting on the guitar, and I think I know what I am going to learn as my first song....THIS! I second the request from below, but no worries if that's a bit much, I will just study your video and learn it that way.
Congratulations, I think you did a lovely version of the Terry Bush song, with great vocals.
Thanks for advising on the proper chords hixsy, I'll give them a go at some point. My version was just what I made up while playing around so it's bound not to be perfect. I'm a far cry from an accomplished musician, lol. I mostly play for fun. Thanks again for taking the time to give us all the correct chords. :-)
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. Hope it brought back some happy childhood memories for you as it does for me. I'm from UK too and grew up watching this in the 80's. It's great that so many others remember it fondly too. :-)
Canada's greatest contribution to television in the '80s (I've never seen the original series from the '60s). The Littlest Hobo was without question my favourite show as a kid.
Thanks for a heartfelt cover. Good work. Perhaps someone already mentioned here, but to remind you of who did the original, it was Terry Bush. He released it commerically in 2005 on his album called Maybe Tomorrow.
Ah yes, it sounds familiar now you've said his name, lol. My memory is so awful these days though. Thanks for the comment, I do love this song, probably just as much because it brings back happy memories as it being a good song anyway. I grew up watching the 80's version too by the way. :-)
Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Do you mean the original song? If so then I've seen it on youtube a number of times and it occasionally pops up on TV's greatest theme tune type cd's in shops but other than that I'm not really sure. If you mean the chords for the song then I couldn't find them myself. Or at least none that I could make sound right anyway so I just made up my own.
Thanks for your comment. My voice suits musicals better and I'm still learning the guitar but I'm fairly pleased with this one. I'll never be the greatest at it though but it's great to get nice comments anyway. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-)
Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I'm still learning to play so it's encouraging to know I'm on the right track. Not sure what the comment with all the laughter is about though, it wasn't that funny.
Thanks BroDii, I'm glad you liked it. I'm sure if you practice lots then you'll get the hang of it in time. I've only been playing for about a year and am still learning. I figure though that if you enjoy playing then that's what counts and getting good will come in it's own time. :-D
Nice performance! Great tune!

This is doing my head in now, every time I post the chords etc it says it's posted but when I refresh the page they aren't there, grrr!!!!
I think the best solution is for anyone who wants them to PM me with their email address and Ill send them in a properly formatted document.
