For anyone having troubles with recording from stereo mix, you may need to try using Freecorder, which does exactly what the title implies, as certain computers disable recording from stereo by default to prevent copyright infringement. You can still use Audacity to, say, remove certain beeps that play at certain intervals in a certain program...

I can't record for very long because there is an annoying beeping sound in melodyne(It even says "beep" on the screen in the background) every like, 30th second, and I reeeally wanna be able to record for longer then that. It seems like they did it on purpose so that you won't be able to record longer...please help :c

In the commentary mode they say they made her voice by combining Ellen Mcclains voice with a female text to speech voice, and had ellen match the timing as best as possible and then combined them and probably added some filter to make it sound less "combined". This method sounds horrible compared to actually doing what Valve did, and what Valve did isn;t eactly a multimillion dollar method, nor is it hard to do.

(Or anyone else fore that matter, though if you wanted to make a voice different than GLaDOS's voice, but same style, you could do that.)

That is a good method for making it sound more human, but I believe the intention of the video was to make a voice like GLaDOS's, at least, as close to it as possible. But yes, that can be applied to other voices, it would just not sound like GLaDOS from the game.

when you open it up you should see Download Audacity 1.2.6, click on that, then you should see Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista: Audacity 1.2.6 installer (.exe file, 2.1 MB). click "Audacity 1.2.6 installer" and wait a minute on the next page and a download popup will appear.
