  • yeah how do u edit them its mad good

  • yo can we get the tutorial on recycle ?

  • pitbull stole this guys lyrics

  • i do this but instead of using recycle i use logic and stretch the vocals to the right bpm using the time and pitch machine

  • hey man nice vid im new to youtube can u tell me how you recoreded youre screen like that

  • @mmd173 u need a hypercam u can download it from the internet

  • If you allready use cubase or protools why not move the from reason to the program you use for vocals, then there is no timing problems and you can hear the "real" beat as you are singing

  • yes you do need the recycle program. or if you want to just use it as a sample you can put it into the nnxt sampler but make sure you have an external drive to save all that on. you dont want to over load your internal drive. message from Mahogani. i love reasons. thats what i rocks with !

  • Hi! Awesome tutorial! Also, what software do you use for recording your vocals? Thanks!

  • @prankoyz thanks, i used protools.

  • How did you rip the Vocals off the song and still have it separately? do i need the recycle program?

  • hey bro great video it helped me alot..i have another question.. can i load like long vocals too??? like 2mins 3 mins long vocals???

  • For those who dont want to use "Recycle" There is another way(The Hard way) to do the same thing.

If you have Audacity, Take Your Vocals, and make sure it is on the beat(very hard to do) Then Export it as WAV file. Open reason, open up NN-XT, Load the saved WAV vocals as a sample. Then you can edit your vocals via NN-XT. If you want to match it to a song, you have to mess around with the tempo+timing+pitch(note) of the sample and the song itself...

  • do you really need recycle?

  • reasonS?!

  • thanks for wasting 8 mins of my life

  • Thank you for this video!

    -Adiee (Adiee Beatz)

  • SORRY I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT THE SYNTH.

WHEN I MAKE A BEAT IN REDRUM OR A SOUND PERIOD I COPY IT TO THE TRACK AND IT WILL NOT SOUND THE SAME IT HAS THE SAM RYTHM, BUT NOT THE SAME SOUND IT SOUNDS ANOYING AND VERY SHARP IS THERE A WAY TO FIX IT WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

  • nice homes

  • Thanks for the help! So it seems to be working fine, but it ask me "how many bars is it"...I just put in a huge number like 50, as the imports are actually guitar, and its for the whole song. As I said it seems to be working fine, but can you think of any problem with calling it something way bigger than what it actually is?

  • when i do it like that the vocal dont stay on time for long why is that? i usually just chop my pella n insert it bit by bit wid rex

  • 'sensitivity lil' boii right here' <3

  • word!

  • how can i tune down the instrument to half step down?

  • The intro is way too long.

  • Annoying and time-wastng 30 second intro.

  • Annoying and time-wastng 30 second intro.

  • man... its reason, not reasonS

  • Alternately, ditch Reason and get a real DAW. Here's the various tiers of audio software:

    Tier 1

    Protools, Logic

    Tier 2

    Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio

    Tier 3

Reason, Dance Ejay, Band in a Box

  • Great job man

  • so can i use the keyboard of my computer as a piano

  • I'm just looking for some simple samples of female vocalizations (to be used in backgrounds), kind of like the Enya music, but I can't seem to find any. Did these come with the Reason soundbanks?

  • zzzz

  • how can i tell if i have recycle? i have reason 4.0 for sure, its on pc... but i dont remeber seeing recycle anywhere

  • @jflava1985

You can load the .wav into the NNXT and play or draw the vocal note, so you don't need ReCycle.

  • @jflava1985 It's a separate program. This is reason number #413 why Reason sucks and you should upgrade to a real DAW.

  • dUDE, LONG ASS INTRO. mAKE IT SHORT FOR YA FANS MAN!

  • Nice tutorial. Thanks

  • whats the difference from the demo and the paid version of recycle?

  • JUST BUY REASON RECORD!!!

  • I AM SELLING REASON 4.0 FOR £25.00 - EMAIL ME AT BLACKBIRD_TECHNOLOGY HOTMAIL.CO.UK

  • thanx alot for this

  • very nice acapella

  • its called reason not reasons

  • whatz good i like ur tutorial but i see u are working with a mac i have a imac and i want to install recycle but for some reason it dose not work it works on my pc but when i install it on my imac it dose install but when i want to open it . it dose not let me but it opens when i hit the demo is there a way to install it on my imac if u have any info can u get back too me thanks!

  • dude awsome Tutorial !! i didnt even know you could do this on reason !

    thanks

  • very useful information

i've always thought that it is not possible to edit any mp3 file in reason without losing any quality.

    ty

  • its not called "reasons" you idiot. its called "reason"

  • @toymachine198 shut the fuck up faggot know one gives a flying fuck bastard cunt. kill your self bitch

  • i have reason (love it)... but i just cant understand why they wont accept recording audio!? and when they do they come up with another program only for recording audio!? what the fuck!!??

  • @Zkrudriverz They do now! it's official trial launch was today it's called "RECORD" it IS reason with recording abilities and it rewires to logic the same way reason does

  • yo whats up L, I just got reason 4.0 in I cant find eny chime sounds in the redrum where can I find that sound.thx

  • why dont you use the nnxt or the nn19 samplers?

  • hey plz help me! the only trouble i'm having in my vocal is ONCE I RECORDED MY VOCAL/ACAPELLA HOW TO MAKE IT VERY CLEAR AND PRO VOCAL???? it sounds short and easy!! BUT I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW CUZ I WANNA GET MY SONG DONE AND THE VOCAL IS TROUBLING ME! CUZ IT SOUNDS STUPID!!!!!!!!!!! PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ TELL

  • When I got Recycle,I started using it as MPC1000.Love it.

  • Great tut man! Good info. I am a big fan of Recycle. For those of you that can't afford recycle and still chop your own samples. you can load them directly into the NNXT or Redrum if they are loaded as .wav files. In The NNXT you can change key, effects, and what not. Just another option.

  • What if you dont have Recyle yet??? and ur using like Goldwave Demo temporary.???

  • Thanks for your informative information regarding dropping vocals in Reasons...

  • What video editing software did you use for that intro?

  • you can try after effects. try videocopilot . net

  • I agree with the dude about the intro being way too damn long and un necessary... jesus christ!

  • Nice vids bro:) Im looking on finding a vid which will help me sample wave files in reason but stretching the file so it fits in the bar loop, some of my sample file finish too early. Cheers bro

or if anyone else read this post can help

  • @DjStashE did u find a way to strech ur samples..???

  • @DjStashE it shud work if u record ur sample at the bpm u want ur song at den wen it loops it wil be perfect.. u can easily do dat by playin it tru ur djm or cdj to find out ur bpm.,

  • you could putting it in a nn19 and use the time stretch

look up time stretch reason 4

  • too fuckin long intro ...

  • Thanks Man!

  • @L3TOsingz y cant you just load it to advanced sampler same thing and u can control pitch with keys

  • Look up acapella on ebay, theres someone selling 400 acapella's on 1 disc... some are awful, but there are a fair few good ones on there! j

  • can you tell me how to lift a vocal from an audio track -i.e just the vocal with no background music. thanks

  • Easiest way to do that is to find the acappella track on google. song name + acappella

  • this is very hard to do from my experience, and almost never comes out like you'd want it. Once a track is mixed down, you can't separate them.

But what you CAN do.. is EQ the hell out of it. lol

To do this, you should use an equalizer... and try your best to find the frequency that the vocals are on... and just drop it as low as you can. The problem is.. your dropping everything at the frequency, so you might lose some of the beat.

Your best bet is to find the acapella like jasonjchang said.

  • sorry... i thought you wanted the beat out of the vocals, you wanted vice versa.

Just do the same thing but drop the surrounding beat out. You'll probably wind up dropping and low end and the high end, until they meet somewhere in the middle where the vocal's frequency is. You'll need a very good equalizer to that can do this in high detail

  • cheers for the reply man,can i do all of this editing stuff in wave lab/recycle then open it up as a wav file in reason

  • You can use anything that has an equalizer. Reason 3.0 and up has an equalizer in the Mastering Suite, Sonar, Cubase, Cool Edit, etc.. most DAWs have an equalizer.

Warning:: it probably won't come out good in all honesty. It's worth trying, b/c you'll learn a lot from it... but it probably won't be a clean output. I just want to stress that... don't expect great sounding results.

When i need a good, clean acapella, I search for it on Limewire. If i can't find it.. i don't bother lol.

  • Or you could buy the single on CD... sometimes musicians include their acapella so DJs can mix it.

  • Damn thats pretty good, I mean the beats that you made. Do you have any songs posted on net?

  • How do you get clear vocals? What mic are you using? Everytime i record it sounds like some dude rapping in his garage

  • Make sure you have the area sound proof, which should solve your problem.

  • you also need an audio interface that compresses your vocals, or software with digital compression.

  • well im using pro tools 7 le is there a compression feature in there?

  • not to mention, u need a good mike like a akg percission 200 (cheap and good)

  • im using a sterling audio st55 condenser mic, i was gonna get the akg but i was told that the st55 is better

  • then it must be the background problem, choose a good place to record, too small will cheate echo, too big might cause a hollow tone to it

  • where do you record?

  • I have a home studio.

  • @marcuzelbow HAVE A QUESTION DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TAKE A TRACK ALREADY MADE ONTO REASON 4.0?

  • @Isaiahc123 u can load a whole song or wave file into redrum

  • @jjbro1 Hey have a question for my brotha.how do you put the audio in stereo in youtube, and then play in stereo as well .please hit me back.

  • @TheMusicman846 i don't really understand what your trying to say. Are you trying to change the audio from a youtube video and put it in reason?

  • u do cool

  • not sure, I know hardware like the mbox has a built in compression feature. But I use adobe audition to add compression after I record the vocals.

  • you have to buy a interface like m audio fast track for pro tools cuz pro tools has their own interfaces for them. It runs about 69$

  • write on google recycle 2.1 download free and you found

  • where can i get the recycle programme?

  • Let me record on that beat.............that beat is da shit I will kill that........hit me up

  • Great Video. I've tried to do this with the nnxt, but don't know why it never dawned on me to use Dr. Rex.

Oh and nice track, too. And the hook... I was hatin at first, but that shit is mad catchy. Nice work.

  • This is all good Marcus...but it's also possible to bring in vocals using the NN-XT and it does exactly what Rex does in terms of EQing simply by opening the remote editor of the NN-XT and importing the Wav file of the vocals. The only advantage of Rex is the slicing facility but to overcome that on the NN-XT what you can do is have the verse, chorus and maybe bridge as separate files and then import them so in other words you would need 3 NN-XT

  • do they got recycle for pc

  • Yes

  • cool

  • maaaaaannn elbow again !

    huge help man

jus a quick question, say u wanna find the tempo of a track, can u do it in recycle . . . similar to the FL Tap Tempo, or do you know of any softwware that does it, thanks man

    Much respect

  • loading video was a nightmare

  • agreee

  • Its better to do it in NN-XT.though i dont have REcycle.I threw that lil jon [what] in NN-XT.added a vocorder combinator to get that 80's space voice.

  • ....man, i dig this tutorial too......btw, this is a great track....very catchy....thanks again man......

  • great video, thanks!

  • so recycle is only available as a demo?

  • thx man greet job... is realy help.

  • Good work man, but for those who only have Reason and not Recycle, you can get away with dropping your vox into such as NN-XT. Thanks for your time man. Peace.

  • Thx Man :D

  • Good video man! I'm gonna try see how i can use Pro Tools w/Reason thru Rewire, u ever use that?

  • This guy really knows what he is talking about!!

  • Thanks man, I appreciate
