  • Amazing!!!

  • I Believe Ole Pop's, Could Give the Great Ray Charles A Run For His Money On This 1. The Greatest Trumpet man Of Eternity. Oh Yeahhhhhhhh.

  • !!!

  • @Ofthehunt I see it as no one can hate on music cause its every one personal opinion overall.

  • Härligt att lyssna till.

  • olh ring that horn the greatest player I ever heard

  • Ugh. I would hate to be that background trumpet player. Having to play trumpet for Louis Armstrong would be like designing a house for Frank Lloyd Wright.

  • Anche questa è bella come quella di Ray Charles

  • Blimey, just love listening to wonderful renditions of whatever and whoever. More give me MORE!

(exclude the knitpickin' up own ar*e bs please)

Now is that toooo much to ask?

  • wonderful

  • Makes me proud of Georgia

  • Makes me proud of Georgia!

  • Godbless Youtube for having so much music history, and those that post!!!! Damn, how it is so true and how the songs have been made over and over to.... saturate the original.

  • This music makes me feel like a rich man dressed in a tight suit and dress pants, smelling like 200 dollar Gucci perfume, in a leather seat listening to this on the radio.

  • merci merci

  • the @mathsin's answer is one of the best that i read

  • eargasm

  • pure genious

    and legend!

  • Damn..this guy died too soon.... They don't make music like this anymore..they try..but it's not the same... This music always makes me cry..

  • @DeltaReconnaissance

But they come real damn close sometimes. I love Jamie Cullum.

  • @DeltaReconnaissance that makes two of us men

  • great!!!

  • esse cara e d maisssssss

  • Satchmo will never die :)

  • ohhhhhh this is that guy

  • This song brings and young heart happiness on any day of the week.

  • Une superbe voix ,un génie !

  • why would you argue about modern music in the comments? why not just talk about our mutual appreciation of a legend? seems more fitting in my opinion.

  • @cantfooltheblues or the appreciation of a song

  • @cantfooltheblues I didn´t know his music very well. I came across it again on my exchange in Australia. A very good friend played him on the stero. She described his voisce like honey and pepper. He defenetly is a legend.

  • Mr. Louis Armstrong was the king of Jazz. He gave music soul! Today's music is the result of a regurgitated abortion of a rape of the beautiful melody that was at one time in the distant past the innocence of mankind.

  • People tend to throw the word "Mainstream" around too much these days.

  • @duder6666 Hating mainstream songs, has become mainstream.

  • @Ofthehunt What's wrong with that?

  • @Ofthehunt It's much more formidable to ignore them

  • @Ofthehunt saying that: " hating mainstream songs, has become mainstream." has become mainstream too... ;-)

  • @amicuslibertatis Clever :p

  • i wish effort would be put into lyrics nowadays, its about love, sex, drugs, partying. get creative. use ur motherfucking FEELINGS. music is meant to be a way to express yourself, not an experimenting ground for autotune

  • any one that sounds great after 50 or 60 years has to be great and if theres a word that describes greater then great then thats what i am saying just BEAUTIFUL

  • 8 people are very stupid and live in a dog house in Georgia

  • I strongly agree with you people when talking about today's and yesterday's musics. of course we cannot even compare some today's noise with the yesterday's SOUND, sweet, real, heaven on my hears. No need to go further, hun?

    Nilza Brugger

  • I listen to music!

  • I'm sure many singers today are talented, and musicians have always been. But many are either "fixed or improved" with new technology, and are missing meaningful lyrics.

  • best song in this time period is by far mr. lonely by bobby vincon

  • Everyones entitled to their own opinion on music

  • Thumbs up fpr smoking i mean its sad it killed him but he wouldnt have had this voice if he didnt smoke !!!!!!!!!!

  • I love all Music (Besides Techno and ModernPop)

Jazz being My Favorite next to Metal

  • 8 people shed tears and clicked on the dislike button because they didn't see anything.

  • Satchmo were fabulously brilliant

  • 8 people don´t like?! The Satchmo?! What do we have come to??????

  • if smoking a billion cigarettes allowed me to have a voice as lovely as this i would, and i haven't touched a cigarette in my life!

  • he was the first to do this number correct

  • legit music

  • i love black people

  • the only relevant things are soul and love, don't mind at the colour of the skin

  • if someboy listens amstrong adn think about being black and white ; that shows ,even in the most advanced countries, racisism is an ongoing problem. sorry for you

  • @mathsin You act like its some great discovery that racism is a problem in America.

  • @mathsin Spelling and grammar are apparently major problems as well.

  • @mathsin Black or white does not matter, Music is music. Love of the music and understanding of it message thats the message in its self

  • Louis Armstrong SUPER!!!

  • You can only acquire his voice by smoking 200 cigars per day during 50 years.

  • @rubidick He had a growth on one of his vocal chords that made him sound like that. Nice thought though.

  • I'm a Rock/Metal/Rap/HipHop fan, but I <3 this ! Jazz is amazing ! screw today's mainstream crap !

  • @78moneymaka78 I'm a metal fan ans still I grew up with jazz,, thanks mum thanks dad !! ...

  • @Bouchon24 yeah man! i don't know why anyone would hate this kinda music! maybe a few would find it boring, but this shouldn't hurt anyone !

  • @78moneymaka78 if only they would know that many of their idols were influenced by this music which is the true essence of any kind of music ! ...

  • @Bouchon24 even if they did, most would be ignorant about it !

  • @78moneymaka78 that's probably why they're listening to crap music ^^

  • @78moneymaka78 oddly enough this was mainstream back than

  • @slimzkeebler Yeah, when Mainstream Music was a selection of many different genres rather than have everything oddly mixed with Pop having the same meanings 90% of the time.

  • @78moneymaka78 You just said you like today's music, also like this, and then you said to screw mainstream.

    Contradictory much?

  • @TheDesertsItalian I don't know WHAT proof you have that I said that cause I just looked back at my comments again, and just in case I made a mistake and not you I'ma clear it up ! there's a difference between today's music & today's mainstream music ! I don't hate all today's music, that's just obscured. But mainstream wise, yeah, 90% of radio songs today suck and are effortless.

  • @78moneymaka78 so you're a fan of everything but Jazz and you love this song? That's not confusing at all! :P

PS: I also LOVE this song.

  • hells yeah bitchez my name's Georgia : )

  • That trumpet plays right to my heart!!! This is when music meant love passion and romance. Not pure sex and vlugar things. I love this man.

  • i just love it, his songs are so relaxing:)

  • These guys really worked the craft like no other. No other sound like it today. It takes decades to learn your sound and perfect it.

Wow, the tone and inflections just make you winder how they can do this stuff?

  • muzica de calitate e nemuritoare!

  • wait, so who did this song originally???

  • @Alisty93

    RAY

  • @Alisty93 Ray charles did i believe, according to the movie anyway

  • @morgunkornable Ray Charles recordid it in the 60's (the song's from the 30's) and this performance is from 1956, you do the math lol.

  • @vazcooo1 bad troll is spotted early...

  • four people have no fkin taste

  • @MrEkkilla Make that 5 who have no R E S P E C T for the greatest singer in blues thts really sad

  • @DarkReAper108 jazz actually

  • 3 people hate Georgia

  • Oddly enough, I DO judge people, in part, by what they listen to. There's a rule in computer programming, called "Garbage In, Garbage Out." It applies to people as well. Music must have three essential qualities: melody, harmony, and rythm. Most music today is hard-pressed to display ONE of these qualities.

  • @neverbad524 Awww come on, modern music still has melody harmony and rhythm... just most of it is taken from a select few older songs, mixed in a blender and then regurgitated back out again :(

  • Note:When the sky shines Louis is playin his trumpet of solid gold.

  • Two dislikes, what are they taking?!

  • jo tai ok

  • the best!!!

  • The sweet sweet sound of real music that fills your soul!

  • georgia georgia georgia georgia.....no peace i find

  • Glad to be living in Queens, NY! Louis Armstrong's home town...:))

  • @OwlNYC his hometown is new orleans

  • @OwlNYC you were wrong according to holidaykingston but look on the bright side run dmc is from queens you lucky ass bastard haha

  • @OwlNYC His home town is new orleans dumb ass

  • @OwlNYC No. New Orleans was where he was born and raised. Louis is as much a part of New Orleans and it's sound as Henry Ford is to Dearborn. That's something you Yankees can't take away.

  • spot the reason for the voice(the cigarette)!!!

  • Bravo Louis !!!!!!!!

    Drobny2008

  • Dedico este tema a Gaston Ron, mi padre.........

  • Beautiful!

  • Im 13 years i socalize normally, But I Love This Music, When is it 1950's?

  • @villy8778 Georgia on My Mind - Hoagy Carmichael and His Orchestra, 1931

  • @TheHrodWulf

Howard Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell(well they wrote, that's what i know).

  • @TheHrodWulf

Welll…Thanks for the information anyway guys

  • @villy8778 nope, the original version was by Howard Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell(well they wrote, that's what i know).

  • @Seximamii1314

Welll…Thanks for the information anyway guys

  • I can't say who I like best, mainly because I have so much love and respect for both Satch and Ray, I could never bring myself to say it even if I actually had a favourite anyhow....if that makes any sense.Ah, damn it, Rays is so good though. Just listen to Louis doing 'when you're smiling' and the universe will find balance.

  • Ray did it best I'm afriad. This is sick too, but Ray ray truely rocked it.

  • @MrDaneMT1 was my reaction too. 'Say WHAT?'

  • My boyfriends racist Grandfather's favorite artist, imagine that.

  • añadida a la web de canciones de boda

  • @Kgolog The man can make you proud to be a PERSON. Music sees no colors my friend. As you can tell im white. Glad you could see your way to listen to this masterpiece by the greatest American singer. Ever.

  • i love this song.. all the versions ive heard are awesome.. Buble especially. but none can compare to the Satchmo..

  • Comment removed

  • Ahhhh yes, the good old days....

  • I know these are the classics, but I love love LOVE Michael Buble's version of this song!

  • He opened his mouth and I started smiling. What a gift this man had.

  • Great Perform

  • The man can make you proud to be a black person

  • @Kgolog dont forget bob marley :)

  • @Kgolog why would someone be ashamed of being black ?

I'm white but your comment shocked me...

  • @MKA829

Im white, but To be honest I dont think he meant that he is ashamed of being black. He is just proud of Louis. You should be more shocked about fuel prices than his comment ;).

  • @nikepl ^^

  • WOW. i want this permanentlly, o m g b lues, ssaasaaxxx . i want IT ALL. where have i been all my life

  • Back when they made music not noise

  • @24lakersman just have to say: i listen to the music you are probaly refering to as "noise" and i still listen to this music too. i just hope you arent the type of person that judges a person on what type of music they listen to, is all

  • @kittysaur13 fuck off

  • @82coma Fuck off yourself. @kittysaur13 is exactly right. There's no one type of correct music, and I'm able to find enjoyment across many genres. YouTube needs a hell of a lot less sophmoric shits polluting good music videos with comments about how everything else sucks.

  • @Tokopol Someone give this guy a pat on the back...Ay. *Pat*

  • @82coma mind your own buisiness ( lol, i should mind my own buisinees too haha)

  • @24lakersman The good ol' times. This is like being in 1920's New York when you close your eyes, but having good Louis next to you.

  • @24lakersman What is noise to you?

  • @Arian545 justin bieber and rebecca black

  • @kinkajuu1 that is not noise, its is probably the weakest music i know about.

  • @Arian545 i knew i pegged you as a justin bieber fan... i am disappointed in you for listening to this and still thinking that justins is music

    :(

  • @24lakersman

yea music back in the 20's through 50's was wonderful but dont talk about music these days how you say "its just noise" as a music producer that noise your talking about takes alot of talent and skills not anybody can do, it same like jazz or blues takes talent skills and not anybody can do it =)

  • @EduardoGamboa123 No POP and alot of the modern mainstream rock take very little skill....and don't even get me started on rap....

  • @EruditeCoterie Much of today's pop is written by the same ghost writers and produced by the same people, so I can see where that view comes from, but mainstream rock is at least written and played by the artists themselves (for the most part). As for rap, don't be so condemning, rap is an incredibly diverse genre believe it or not. Try listening to people other than 50 cent, even if you don't like it you can't deny the talent of artists such as Jedi Mind Tricks, Sage Francis and Atmosphere.

  • @EruditeCoterie i agree with you on most of that, but i dont think you can generalize like that. there deffinitely are some very talented rappers and hip hop singers out there, its just a very, very small percentage

  • @EduardoGamboa123 real instuments or instruments put on a pad. yeaa. this music takes more skill.

  • @EduardoGamboa123 actually since the mid 80's they've been creating stars out of people with no talent because they had the right look/charisma

  • @EduardoGamboa123 Nearly all "musicians" nowadays have their voices so heavily edited that when they sing live they're not even recognizable. Not much talent involved if you ask me.

  • @guitarhero1346

What you're talkin about is autotune an you know how hard is to tune that yeah the singers may not have any talent but the composer an the produce for todays music that takes skills you have to rewrite the whole song an better be perfect or else it can fuck it all up

  • @EduardoGamboa123 I have autotune on my phone, not trying to take anything away from you guys (really wanted to be an audio engineer for a while) but it is getting easier and easier to make music, nothing will compare to groups that make em with heart and passion though, like Louis or today Mumford and Sons, they are true musicians and I respect/love them in a non homosexual way lmao

  • @EduardoGamboa123

Any fucking moron can be Justin Bieber.

    you sir are an idiot.

  • @DregothDN

haha justin bieber i dont give a shit about him but why arent you a justin bieber or rich an famous
