The problem I have with this comparison is that you're using a 3G connection. If I were a picky person I would've yelled at you and saying that you're a fag for being unfair. But I'm not going to do that. Instead I will advise you to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi (WLAN) network.
opera compresses the size of data and the standard browser is loading the full websites .. and the lag at the start when the guy was operating the standard browser was caused by the stupid connection .. no fault on part of the fone :P
The Opera Browser is at least 2 times faster than the native nokia browser...but hasn't pinch to zoom nor Flash....also Opera has a decent keyboard....

@07liberian thats the difference btwn apple and other companies.iphones does not come with so many apps bcause some people do not need them.i had a 5800 once when it came with preinstalled games and other apps and i cant install ovi maps coz memory full and i cant delete them.iphone 4 made me happy im not switching for now.n8 has great features but looks and works the same as 5800.im not going back to nokia till they change os

@Ledecorus Espoo, Finland. And actually the provider sells this connection saying it's 21mbps, but it actually gives only 8... but that's because I live pretty far away from a connection point ( or idk what to call it in english).

OMG wow.... thats so awesome... in australia for wireless broadband we get 7Mbit/s as our maximum and usually on only get a crappy 50kbs/sec.
using phone lines 200kbs is considered really good ...
im so moving to finland .. home of nokia :D
