Once you get damage all the shotties are completely different guns. I leveled every one except the bitch-ass Striker and am currently at Range with the AA-12. The Model and KSG12 are my favorites ATM.

@jsun if you use steady aim, the sights make the spread bigger than hip firing, but some people are used to using sights so the man in black likes to use steady aim due to the pro version and when they get specialist bonus, they get stalker and they get to move faster

The spread of the pellets is the same for all shotguns (besides the model and AA12) when hipfiring or using ADS. However Steady Aim decreases the spread, causing longer OSK. Steady Aim doesn't affect ADS. Refute that, bitch. : )

@cptadb93 you are stupid. the patch gave all shotguns extra pellets in each shot without ext mags except the striker which stayed the same however the ext mag glitch was fixed which actually nerfed the striker. so it basically gave all shotgun except the striker the extra pellets the ext mag glitch used to provide by default making them much better when you use em with nothing on. if you've ever grinded damage for the USAS pre patch then you will know what i mean.

The extended mags glitch was fixed for all shotguns, but only the ksg12 and the usas12 got an increase in the amount of pellets they shoot, both going from 6-9 pellets. You were right about the striker which is unchanged, but both the model and spas12 both now shoot 8 pellets, like before they had extended mags on. extended mags meant they shot 12 pellets.
