  • Evolution is also religion masquerade as science in order to feed it in the classrooms to innocent middle school children and turned them against their creator. All these Evolution leaders are but puppets of the devil. Shame on you!

  • @freedomalert - "All these Evolution leaders are but puppets of the devil" funny that. I'd say you religious types whose slavish adherence to 2000 year old books written by people who marveled at the technology of the wheelbarrow smacks of being decieved and duped by some evil force that would have humanity be ignorant and sheep to be fleeced and worse by the "pastors" who are all too happy to take your money, wives, daughters and sons in too many cases.

  • @sol3a1 God has lived forever, what is wrong with a 2000 old year book, to him is a today book and so it is for his children, an as old as it is it tells your destiny, but many have fear of what it says because it tells them their destiny if they do not repent and submit to God. I do not marvel at nothing, the world have technology because God allows it, he is the giver of all these, but when he say the word it will be over.

  • the point of intelligent design is that everything in the universe has a purpose and are tailor made

  • Dr. Scott has an anthropomorphic idea of God stuck in her head. The Gospel of John 1:1-5, when translated correctly says that in the beginning was the Logo, and the logo was God. All things were made from THAT without THAT nothing was made that was made.// So the word THAT which shows God is inexpressible is what God is. Science upholds the idea God is simply THAT. Simply accept it. Then learn what THAT is to the best of human intelligence. If you don't like saying God, then say THAT.

  • @0099wrestler It's still one mythology/faith that is trying to wedge itself into a science class. If someone wants to learn about that particular mythos, they can go to a church, not a science lab.

  • @happypitfiend Click my name, read the website I made. Church teaches nothing but lies. Even myths have deeper truths, but church only leads one to Hell. Actually, I don't really understand what you mean. Too vague, please clarify. I hope we may discuss this with reason, and facts, not church nonsense.

  • @happypitfiend It is possible that if you use science with the Bible, that a greater understanding may come. Evolution is in the Bible, and the Bible demands science enters into reveal the deeper mysteries. It is likely that you never applied scientific methods to the Bible. Please read my website in my youtube site.

  • @0099wrestler John 1:1, (Logos) is of course just the ancient Greek idea that without Logic there is nothing but Chaos. Indeed God couldn't have said 'Let there be light' without logic. It would have ben meaningless. Logic is more fundamental than even God. This is pure Pythagoras.

  • at least creationism gives an explanation as to why things are the way they are, a stupid and unsatisfactory explanation but nonetheless an explanation. I want to know WHY i exist! I want a mathematical model that can predict behavior and thought based upon the dance of human physiology.

  • "I want to know WHY i exist!"

There may or may not be a definite "meaning" to life...most people give their own life meaning, finding family, humanitarianism, religion, some or all of those- or perhaps something else. I personally have no problem (and am actually quite refreshed) with the possibility of their being no "purpose" or "special creation" of human beings- it leaves us free to choose how to live life, and as you put it, why to live life

  • Here, 'supernatural' just means 'something we can't explain, and hence can't be something human'. Both are just different ways of understanding the world.

Besides, why are the two mutually exclusive? Hmmm.

  • No, supernatural means "something outside of the natural laws that govern the universe." Magical, anthropomorphic, hypothetical beings fall under this category if they are ever proven to exist.

  • Sorry, I guess I wasn't precise. What I meant is it's a way of saying that we can't explain something using natural universal laws of our own.

  • I don't think science and creationism are all that different. Both, when it comes to explaining why natural phenomena is the way it is, contain several loopholes. Science, claiming to be accurate and unbiased, can't explain everything. Creationism is flawed in a different way. Creationism says there's a supernatural, supreme ruler in charge of all this.

  • And as i have said time and time again...

"While there are many things that science has yet to fully explain, it is foolish to believe that everything we can not yet explain is simply the work of some intangible father figure pulling puppet strings from the great beyond"

  • haha 1:04...

  • there is no science in creationism

  • "Intelligent design" made by unintelligent dick-heads :)

  • I wish people would stop dignifying this tripe by calling it creation science.

  • Unfortunately the bible is based on fables and myths. Science uses natural explanations to explain the natural world, basing these upon fact and observations, as opposed to using supernatural explanations to explain the natural world.

  • What nonsense! No scientist has ever pushed for any scientific theory to be taught in Sunday or bible school. It's the bible/koran-worshiping creationists who keep trying to have their unscientific theology taught as science in science class in school. You are the ones playing offense while trying to claim self-defense.

Even Jesus supposedly had enough sense to say 'Render to Caesar what is Caesar's'. Your patent hypocrisy isn't doing your religion ANY favor at all.

  • Why, you ask? Because it is a scientific fact, and it should be taught in science class. That's what the class is for. It's not for teaching religious stories.

If you want your daughter to lag behind her peers when it comes to knowledge about science and subjects like that, then by all means send her to a school that teaches creation "science".

Then again, it's a non-discussion if you are in the US, since teaching creation / ID in science class has been ruled illegal, and rightfully so.

  • "why is evolution theory going to be forced down my daughter's throat when she is of age to go to college"

I hardly think being required to have a good understanding of a subject constitutes it being "forced down" one's throat.

  • Evolution is "forced down their throats" in the same sense as the periodic table (atomic theory), cell structure/function (cell theory), plate tectonics (and the accompanying theory), as well as gravity, germs, and many other fields of scientific knowledge are. Terribly sorry to all those who think a meaningful, substantial (and perhaps most importantly, accurate) education isn't important.
