Oh, the worst skate boarding accident ever, was in my neighborhood, off that road going from Tigard to Tuwalitin. On the right, nice upper middle class neighborhood, a road at the bottom of the hood went to a park near a creek, the park was at the edge of the railroad tracks. I went full speed down that hill, had to jump off, could not run that fast fell in the grass.....the gravel ladened grass, cut my ass to shreds. Still have some scars on my ass from that experience, nothing but raw meat!

I remember somewhere near Durham, in Tigard, down from the highschool, near the Plaid Pantry, there was a city water treatment plant. We used to sneek inside where the big concrete pits were. If it was dry we would haul ass and jump them on our BMX. We'd fall about 50-60 feet and be going about 50 miles an hour, once I was almost closelined to death on a steel cable nearly invible but I hit my chest to my seat and only my back it the cable, no harm no foul.

I started Skating in Tigard back in 1984. I swear to god, I encouraged Mark Scott to start skating, he only had a Nash at the time. Holy shit, if we had a skate park back then like this then I might have actually went somewhere on my board. No bad feelings, I'm happy with things these days. This park is kick ass. I don't skate anymore but I bet my body feels better then Mark Scotts! I saw him in 1997 under the bridge admiring his creation and he remembered me......how's he doing?
