@visionbear HI, I found Rich's music on the radio the yr after he passed. I did not know of him not being into Christian music for a time. Disaster struck. Christian music back in my life, 1998, I think, I kept hearing all these songs that were helping me , hard to believe they were all from the same guy. This is 1of my very favs. All his music is so special and it delights my soul with others finding it. Jesus sure used him for good & I am so glad he let himself be used. Be BLESSED!!
Great video. I really liked the verse chosen for the end. This song carried me through many dark nights over the years. I am hoping it may help my friends in this time. And yet, some lessons need to be reviewed once in a while. But God is good, even in trials. Thanks for sharing this. :)
@RuthsYoungest It seems to me that the deepest of hearts often swell up in the greatest of storms. The ones who care the most often hurt the most. This song reminds me that this is a good trait. Not all tears come from sorrow. But sometimes, tears of sorrow must come first so that the tears of joy can come afterward. It is like the rainbow after the fiercest of storms. I am not a musician. Writing is my thing. But music can clear my vast thoughts and bring me back to where I belong. Thanks. :)

@RuthsYoungest Yah... Maybe I should have listened to God a little closer after highschool and pursued writing in college then. But this 'wandering in the desert' had a purpose too, even if I do not see it yet. As much 'insight' as I may have, there are still SO many things that God has yet to reveal to me. I may have a 'gift', but I also know Who gives can also take away. So I have nothing to boast in. And I see other 'gifts' of God in the people around me too. But all praise to God, not us. :)

God had no difficulty creating the universe. The Bible tells us He spoke and it was so. But when God wrote salvation’s story, He went to great difficulty. He gave His son Jesus to die for you!!

Still, nothing compares to losing all but a very few of my friends last spring through argument. When that 'body' of fellowship broke, it was like several parts of my heart were ripped out at once. And in that chaos, I too said things I will ALWAYS regret. I know God forgives me. I even 'logically' can see my friends forgiving me. Yet I now know I need to forgive myself. Not easy.

@RuthsYoungest Everyone has a choice though too. I cannot force my friends to open their arms again. They cannot get me to be in certain situations anymore either... for their sakes as much as my own. Everything is new now. Nothing is as it once was. I have seen the best of my friends and the worst... and the worst of my own soul too. But I can start anew again. That is what I seek at least. I am still afraid though. I must face these things within myself still. To prayer and God then. :)

It's a rainy 4th of July here and many city wide celebrations for the countries independence have had to be canceled. But the holiday off work tomorrow will not be affected.
