Here's the ultimate Jim Gillette tribute and some other high pitched screams by myself. The last screams are almost 6 octaves, and I think the last one achieves D6 on falsetto! Yeah!!!! Vocal Power!!!
Jim Gillette can actually go a lot higher than Stu block(I've heard Jim hit a D6), he's not trying to hit his highest note here, he's simply demonstrating a smooth transition between registers without a break/flip, and with power. its from an instructional video.
@fodibo Yeah I do, and are you sure it was in head voice? Cos that would make you one of the most amazing male singers out there today, not alot of people can do that. It was probably falsetto.
@fodibo Ah well then touche, you should upload a video of doing it. I'm not challenging you to show that I don't trust you, I'm simply saying if you really can do it then it would be a good way to share your talents and perhaps be noticed, like I said it's a very impressive thing for a singer to do.
falsetto occurs in the head voice, since head voice is just the name of the register where the resonance is(you guessed it) in the head and not the chest. however its just one of many possible vocal modes that can be produced in the head register, to produce a D6 with cord closure and "twang" is something that requires a lot of training to achieve, this type of note is not falsetto.
@Kojitsu I know man, if you'd read the whole conversation you'd understand that I wasn't talking about Jim Gillette's scream, I was just talking to a dude who thought he hit a D6 in head voice. I said that it was unlikely, then you commented. Jim Gillette's insane man, he's hit a D6 in head voice before.
as far as I know it is impossible to hit a D6 WITHOUT using head voice. even if it was falsetto, that's still a vocal mode that occurs in the head voice.
yep, lol, but whats your point? full voice uses all the registers from chest to head voice, it's all connected and with cord closure, unless you are just promoting Daniel Heiman and Lost Horizon.
