There are times when LARPING can be pretty insane. The fantasy is great, and sometimes the swordsmanship can be outright astounding. For example, I larp, and many of the people I play with are from my dojo...yes I said dojo. We have been training in many different martial arts including karate, TKD, Judo, and Brazilian JiuJitsu for almost 6 years each. We are also trained in Kobudo. We draw many people in with demo like performances.

Larping can be very cheap. I got all my materials for around 60$ (I got a lot of extra pipe and foam so I could make more weapons) Also staffing a larp will provide everything for you, and you won't need to pay.

Try googleing for larps near you. We are kinda underground, I didn't even know about larping, and their is like 3 all within a two hour drive from my house.

I had a LARP problem too! I found a way to get rid of them: LARP-A-WAY! It's a DVD you can play in the places LARPERS infect. Just get a portable DVD player, insert DVD, and press play. It has several clips from various Pro Football games,some NASCAR footage, and all the New footage from Star Wars: A New Hope. LARPERS are guaranteed to leave the area! To avoid re-infection, never play Joss" Whedon, Monty Python, or Lord of The Rings too loudly as it attracts them like a mating call!

While never deadly a LARP attack normally includes a padded stick while someone yells out a "magic attack". LARPers could attack by slapping very lightly.
