I would like to add that they got Oklahoma folks speech down pat. I am tired of productions where everyone sounds like they are from Ohio or something LOL!
Last night was our last performance of this show, I was a farmer. During the fight scene I was slapped around by a cowboy's wife before the gun came out.
I am an Oklahoman born and bred. I have seen the movie and many stage productions. But I have to say that the casting for this production was true to life. There were people of all "sizes" and looks, and represented true life, not Hollywood perfection and beauty.
This one gets the YouTube "Academy Award" for realism in my book. I am truly amazed. Hats off to the Uni of Idaho's production!
We had a great dramaturg/Assistant Director. She was great and did some great research from that specific time in OK.

I agree the fight scene was a little dragged out. And I was afraid that someone was going to fall into the pit the whole time....

no offence but i think this was terrible, except for aunt eller. Your fight scene was entirely too long also. The costumes were great though!
