a lot of oldschoolers think these co2 things are absolutely ridiculous. Whats ridiculous is trying to ride back 40 miles to the nearest gas station (that only fills to 70 psi anyway) with a 40 psi tire because if you actually tried to get a decent amount of pressure in the tire you'd probably break the valve stem from the hand pump movement. With one of these its like ten seconds and you have a 130psi tire in the middle of the sierra nevada foothills. Ebay the co2- about a dollar a cartridge.
Wait... You're joking right? Have you heard of a patch kit? My buddy rode the Shenandoah 100 mountain bike race this weekend. He ended up getting 3 flats. How many fresh tubes was he supposed to carry? 4? 5? 10?
@treeman2007 - That's awesome for you. Meanwhile, in the real world, there are these things called "patch kits". Next time you're riding one of your double-centuries you should ask one of your fellow riders to let you take a look at one.
Since when is it hard to patch a tire. You scuff it with sandpaper for like a second, put cement on it, let it dry ten seconds and put a patch on it. The patching process isn't even critical, the air pressure holds the patch to the tube against the tire.
Does it work with isi nitrous chargers?

@treeman2007 Actually we are not
C02 cartrigages are mainly when you get a flat on a ride and it is not used as the main source of inflation

@ibcoleman It is much easier to carry a spare tube or two with you, rather than having to patch on the road.
Of course, once you get home you patch em up and you have another tube to change to.
