Ubuntu 11.04 Alpha3 : Compiz 3D Cube + Unity + Wall

Danke für deine Profileinstellungen, denn ich bin schon verzweifelt was Compiz angeht. Allerdings gehen einige Einstellungen bei mir nicht - aber ich denke das liegt an meiner verwendeten Ubuntuversion (12.04Alpha).

Schade denn die Reflektions fand ich sehr gut ...

Die hatte ich tatsächlich nicht installiert und ich hatte auch bei "reflektions" nicht hochgestellt - deshalb auch keine Reflektionen ;)

What is that system monitor on the right side of your screen called?

it is called "conky". A system Monitor wich you can modify with a hidden text file ".conkyrc" in your user folder.

Find conky in the software center or with synaptic.

unity + compiz made all of my windows border disapear (yes i have decorations tagged im not a morron and yes i tried to add the nvidia comman at the xorg file) i tried alot of fixes still no borders help me

but now i have the problem of 470gtx overheating with no fan controll

fan stuck at 40%

(and lag with flash on chromium i mean if i hit play on yt it takes 2 secs b4 the sound startsit is synced but vid start and stop first)

try to install the beta flash player 11 ... find it on adobe web page ... and choose architecture like your pc has (64 bit ?)

so no linux for now(untill i get a way to controll that fan!!!!) i tried installing evga precision with wine=no luck

and no other software (gui or terminal based) can control my fan (it's stuck on 40%)

i would think there is something in the BIOS wich causes the error ? Try some settings in the BIOS (energy ... )

o processo e muito simples, fiz o download no link abaixo do vídeo extrai para a area de trabalho, entrei no "gerenciador de configurações do compiz" no menu "preferências" na guia "salvar como" e adicionei a pasta "Ubuntu11.04Alpha3--3DCube. profile" reiniciei o ubuntu e pronto. estava feito....so o azul atrás das telas e que não ficou bem definido o resto ficou muito lindo

Hmm.... versuchs mal über das Softwarecenter. Das ist am Anfang immer der sicherste Weg.

Unter Ubuntu 11.04 hast du dann auch gleich die Möglichkeit im Softwarecenter auszuwählen ob du das

Symbol im Unity Panel haben möchtest. Das sollte dann gehen

@TheRegRunner main audience may be german, but this is youtube, and various people will link to your videos (i got here through facebook via ubuntu's page, for example). it ends up not being the main audience after a while. not enough time? you can find eventually to edit the video before actually uploading it. youtube doesn't exactly have a time limit for when you can actually /upload/ a video. doesn't have to be perfect english either, just make it easier for others who come across it. :)
