City in Panic VHS Review (1987, Trans World Ent.)

I actually own this movie. Found it in a bargain bin when one of the local mom and pop stores went under. I can appreciate this move a little better than when I first saw it but that's faint praise. There's too many scenes of pseudo-psychological babble between the DJ and one of the detectives. Speaking as one who grew up in the 80's, I can assure you that audiences back then had no problem watching gay men get killed. The controversy I think came more from the motive not being handled well
