Wow... the way Ann belts it out at 5:06 is absolutely AMAZING!!! And as for her weight... who gives a rat's ass?? She is genuine talent. I don't care if she weighs 50 pounds or 500 pounds, no one can match her talent.
I said her performance live was not equal to her album mix and no, not too many drunks, I actually perform this with a band. I too have an amazing range and I can't do all her songs just this one. I love heart and have been a fan since childhood. I didn't mean to say she wasn't still amazing but this performance is just not up to her standards.
I sing this in my local bars and places that have karaoke and sadly I do a better job than Ann does live. Its an amazing song on the album but if they can't sing it well live than thats just sad.
@marbacha4 keep dreaming. Anne's voice is world class. Her range and control have no equal or at least no better. Perhaps you just get too many drunks telling you what you want to hear.
About Christmas or New Years Eve like 1985 me and some buddies from Ft Hood went to Houston to party for the weekend, drinking. Get up hungover in hotel room, look out window "Tonight Heart" at Houston Summit. We went!!! Romantics opened, and then came Heart and we were first balcony in the amps. Blew our heads off. Nancy came out and played Silver Heels with an Ovation with a hole worn in it the size of a basketball. Like Nancy says, "Its about the music, stupid". Ann and Nancy forever!!!
they rushed barracuda at their 1990 show but not during their 1985 and 1987 shows.
i was knocked out by barracuda in 1985. ann looks good here she just needed bigger hair and long earings. the hair of the guys in the band look bad here.
the same media that criticized ann's weight praised every black skank that came along like maraih carey and tracy chapman and all the rest of them simply because they were black.
Wow, I thought this intro was original. Found out that people have discussed this intro and it sounds very much like this one, search on youtube Bert Jansch - Angie
I'm a hetero male and I can appreciate Nancy's good looks as much as anyone..........but make no mistake about it...........Ann Wilson was the true talent in Heart...........WE ALL KNOW THIS.........SO STOP THE COMMENTS ABOUT WEIGHT, etc...........her voice is legendary and carried that band to the top........Nancy was a good rhythm guitarist but Ann was the driving force..........SO GET FUCKING REAL........Y'ALL PISSING ME OFF.........dont push my buttons, ya pricks!

Some things never change. Ann can still sing, Nancy is more show than go, and super putz Howard has played this 1000 times and still slops around looking for the right notes wishing he was Jimmy Page.
Read the Heart Studio book. Howard wrote all the solos for Heart in the 70's and played them on the records. He was the nerd of the group that did all their arrangements. That is why the Japanese have called him Heart's "Secret Weapon" for 30 years.
Wow... I've watched this probably 10 times today already and I can't get enough... Ann's voice is absolutely amazing. And who cares about her weight?? This is pure skill right here.
What a great band, I love how the perform in this show, including Alone which has more guitar sound to it. All the songs had more "rock" feeling to it in this live show.
I have to keep coming back to watch this. Ann's voice is just so incredible. Her voice just pierces through everything. It takes a great singer to cut through all that rockin! Love you Ann!
Yeah they sorta rushed the song. I like it better when it is slow. but this is still an amazing version, they are a great live band. A great band period.
if you see other videos of this concert, you'll see they rushed also "barracuda" and "if looks could kill"... I think they wanted to go back and erase the "power balad" era
I never saw them in these eras either. Some guy gave me his entire heart bootleg audio collection around 1995. I can put some of that up later but, there is no video if anyone cares to hear it.
This was shortly after the beginning of Ann's self confessed weight problems. You notice how all the close-ups of Ann are only of her face, while Nancy gets huge amounts of camera time. The record and video producers crucified Ann because of her weight, and pretty much ended the "glory" years of heart. She was,is,and always will be, THE class of rock-n-roll women. Ann and Nancy RULE!
Heart rocks!! Nancy, you kick butt on that guitar intro. You truly inspire other artists! I'm a boxer and martial artist, and when I see you perform, it's like watching Sugar Ray Leonard box with fluidity and grace. God bless you, Nancy, Anne, and the rest of Heart!!!

What's wrong with Nancy in this video she's wearing so much makeup she looks like david bowie it's kinda gross. If it wasn't for the comment that says they did some of babe i'm gonna leave you i wouldn't have watched the whole thing.
Nancy Wilson has always been under-appreciated as a guitar player. I mean how many guitar players have a signature piece?--a few notes in and you know what it is. Great vid.
yeah, i saw her say in an interview once that she really lets herself go when she plays this, plays the origional intro (obviously) but adds in whatever else she wants at the time.
theres a dislike button on this video? thats odd
