It is one of my first uploads on YT. Yesterday I met a little girl that fits to your story. I want to make sketches of her today.
The first song I've listened to which is by a female songwriter on YT that has immediately reminded me of John Lennon. It must be because the narrator has such an innocent voice, plus, the second augmented chord which rises up and picking style are reminiscent of the Beatles somewhat. Or at least music from their era. Beautifully made.
Oh thank you Curtis Mateer for that great compliment. Maybe it is because I wrote this song in a time when I listened to John Lennons music very often after he was shot down. That perhaps influenced me. And I am a true Beatles-fan until today :-)

good morning anette......i think this is one of your most sensitive songs. i almost feel like the fine window seat is a metaphor, as though, for ones who choose to observe, they will always have a fine view, forever, and the train is always moving. sorry if i sound like i am gushing, but really, i am. i don't know if even you realize how special your perception is, but you have a rare gift for making simple events seem as important as they can be. continue the craft, chuck.

Excellent stuff. I like the understated percussion and the strings. They match the tone of the song quite well. I also like how you work in out of key notes to give a mild dissonance at times.
