Plus, even if Germany had won through Britain surrendering, they wouldn't have occupied Britain, instead probably left them alone apart from damages. Also, it's spelt humour and by the by, "I could care less" makes no sense in the context it's used in.

This is a great sketch. I like the positive comments from German viewers. I should point out though that in the UK we have a good sense of humour, not humor. Using the American spelling might give them the idea they won the second world war and we wouldn't want that, would we?

In 1940, UK was on the point to surrender to the Germans, because they had to many losses. Göring quitet to early, otherwise the UK would have been occupied by Nazi-Germany.

Thereby, without the United States and especially the Soviet-Union, Germany would never have been defeated. So please stop acting like 'you won world war 2'.

The US couldnt have invaded mainland europe without british help anyway becuase if we had surrendered we would have acted as a buffer to american invasion

@mattg109 Actually, during the Dunkirk crisis, the british government seriously considered a conditional surrender to the nazis (we were about to lose tens of thousands of soldiers, after all). It was only the miraculous rescue of french and english soldiers by the civilian "little ships" that enabled the war effort to continue, and lead to Churchill famously swearing that surrender would never again be considered. (We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them on the landing grounds...)

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. Certainly a world without Nazi Germany is better than one with it, but remember one evil was replaced by another when the communists came.

Germany wasn't always evil. I suppose even under the Kaiser, you were just another imperialistic superpower, much like the UK. I think it's OK to feel pride about that, although you have to acknowledge the time for empires is over; it's much the same way with Britain.
