Will the bike eff up if you don't shift down before stopping ??
I road a pitbike that was kinda weird to ride, and before stopping I wouldnt drift down I would just stop but let the motor stay on/ give it a little gas
@oldskoolgangsta96 2 Strokes are Better. It means every 2 piston pumps to the stroke of the engine. 4 stroke means 4 strokes of the engine till a full rotation. So a 150c two stroke is about as good as a 300c four stroke. Hope that clarifies!
@oldskoolgangsta96 First of all you should not get a "lifian bike" you should get something like honda yamaha kawasaki and that, and in farely low cc as 125 2 stroke is best but in 250 4stroke is okay.
@Nirdy331 You make sure that it is in neutral. The you pull the clutch in all the way..ther get the bike going. Your STILL holding the clutch then you put it in first gear. You pull back the throttle just a bit. And gently let off the clutch and ur off riding!! hope it helped,
i just go abit fast then pull the clutch then go to gear 2 as for the start i become one with my bike i can feel the right time to let the clutch out xD i use to fall of before
@rey619mysterio56 oh ok, is that a good dirt bike, i'm going to go look for one next spring, cause school is starting tuesday, and i was looking towards a 85 to 125, yamaha or honda more towards yamaha
when it comes to rideing, you can explain what to do how to do it what stuff is for , but when its all said and done u gota do it, rideing takes comon sense and street smarts to ride realy well and there is a proper time to shift its at peak power, thats not usualy the redline
thanks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much 1 question whats that red button :o)
im 5'2 never ridin a dirtbike, what should i get, i want something fast and tht i can grow into but then again ive never ridin one, can somebody give me some advice plz ?? thax
@XSportRider7 no once you are actually moving in 1st gear and in second just clutch, gear , let go of clutch and gas its the same motion until you are in the gear you want to be in downshifting is similar , you will feel the bike start to lose rpm when you are at about the level of the rpm's in the gear below what you are in clutch, downshift, let go of clutch and either keep riding brake and tiny throttle here and there and continue riding and get back to speed hope it helps later bro
@loopyboopoo1 Alright thanks bro i have a video of me starting my 110 pit bikefor the second time but i had to give it up i'm getting a 125 dirt bike for chistmas though :D
this is retarted because on two strokes when you top out the gear its doesnt loose power it hits powerban it doesnt loose power it gets more power when it hits power ban and get a real bike!! and shifting without the clutch doesnt wear out the clutch when u slip the clutch that is when you wear out the clutch
@landoncool101 WRONG! the powerband is where the bike puts out the most power but that is not what you called "toped out" you can go past the powerband and thats what should be called "toped out" other wise you said the rest right.
yeah but you will have a problem with ur first gear (when u r still and u pop first gear unless u have ur revs up the bike will die, on the other hand when u start eth high revs u r most likely to end up with a weely so use the clutch unless you r an experienced rider
@theworld1k when a clutch wears out it will slip under load aka hard on the gas and get worse the longer you wait to change it. all the gears will remain the same and shift the same no matter how bad the clutch gets. the clutch is just a connect and disconnect between the engine and tranny.
TWO ways of changing gears on a race/dirt bike. number 1:::: Back off the gas shift up a gear, back on the gas again. NO NEED for the clutch. its not a car or truck its a dirt bike and has a crunch box like a rally car AND IT WONT WEAR DOWN ANY FASTER OR DO ANY damage. number 2:::::: HOLD the gas WIDE open slip the clutch just a tiny bit so the clutch is just about disengaged shift as fast as you can. slip the clutch and up gear at exactly the same time. Thats what all the pros do.
hey man i ride a yfz 450 quad.. i want to get into motorcross though!! i know a quad is much different from a dirbike im 5'8 and weigh 180 pounds would a 250f or a 450f be better for me this would be my first motorcross bike if i get one if u could help me out thanks!!

@gh32231 because a 150 honda is a 4 stroke which is designed to race against a 85cc bike if you want to a bigger honda get a 250 which is designed to race against 125s

@theSk8inbeast im sure you have heard of craigslist, you can check there or just ask around, like if your parents know any people who ride and maybe they would sell it to ya cheap. hope i helped :) good luck
Hey I just bought a enduro . . and I wanted to ask when u start it, do u start in neutral or first ? and then let slow of the clutch and at the same time slowly open the throttle ?
and if I wanted to stop can I just hold the clutch in and shift to neutral while holding brakes ?
clutch to gas ratio to get moving? thats what gets me... i know you go slow with both but i either let the clutch out too fast or put the gas on too fast... can you send me a video or something?
all you need to do to shift down is push the clutch in and push the shifter down each notch is a gear so if you're at 6th gear go done 5th go done 4 go done 3 done 2 then down to one then hold clutch in and barely tap the shifter up to get it into neutral.
Thia is my way to use a clutch and stuff: 1.Start your engine 2.Let it warm up if you need it to 3. Hold the clutch down ,shift into 1st gear and flore it for a couple seconds then let it go and watch what happens and make a video of it please.

hey.... im unexperienced, and i dont have a bike(im getting one soon), but does the shifter stay in the same place WHILE it clicks, or does it actually move upwards when you up-shift?
rey619mysterio56 i am going to be a learner come later this year and dont really know that much about bikes especially shifting so could you please post another vid of how you actually shift the gears or do the same as this vid but shifting instead thanks
i think i get it now!!! :D thnx dude... when i was 8 i had a pw 80 yamaha and i remember when i was riding i knew when to shift... thnx and now i remember and i think im gunna get the yamaha 85... idk im 10 and idk what im guuna ge... all i kno that it's gunna be a clutch!! :D
wont unexperienced riders just kill it if they pop the clutch? and if they do pop the clutch they probably wont be able to handle how much gas they're supposed to give it and flip
@dangzard hey man i ride a yfz 450 quad.. i want to get into motorcross though!! i know a quad is much different from a dirbike im 5'8 and weigh 180 pounds would a 250f or a 450f be better for me this would be my first motorcross bike if i get one if u could help me out thanks!!
@CLUMZYLB I traded my trx450r for a kx250 and i couldn't be happier. Quads are fun but bikes are more of a challenge; you can't be scared to fall though that is the major difference between quads and bikes. The kx250 2 stroke is my first dirtbike and it has slammed me pretty hard, but its a BLAST. If it were me, i'd go ahead and get tha 450, just be careful at first
@CLUMZYLB it depends on how old you are but if i where you 250f they still have a tone of bottom end and i would go with yamaha if you do not want any problems. i im 19 i though i could handle the 450 and holy shit the thing flys so i just ride my 250f but yamahas the way to go very very very reliable bike.
Good vid but I really disagree with this statement: "it wears out your clutch if you don't use it"
I've had talks with mechanics and engineers on the topic. Clutchless shifts won't cause any more wear than clutched shifting. If anything clutched shifts will wear out the clutch more. Pre-load the shifter and unload the engine, the bike should just snick into the next gear without a hassle. This won't kill your engine if its done right.
@rey619mysterio56 dubass the bike will shut off. but if you shut it off while rolling and you dont pull the clutch in your back tire will lock up and it wont move just like when your breaking, you pull in the clutch
@rey619mysterio56 WRONG!!! if you hit the kill switch at a good speed the spark is killed and the engine is not "running" but the engine will still be turning so if you get the switch back on before you/bike stop it will take right off running again.
@duxski17 if you hold the clutch in it will just roll but if you dont hold the clutch and you quickly turn the switch on then it will carry on running and you will slow down a bit then you can accelerate away if it is still in gear
@duxski17 no not really. if you hit the kill switch at a good speed the spark is killed and the engine is not "running" but the engine will still be turning so if you get the switch back on before you/bike stop it will take right off running again.
ur video is good i have a honda crf 250 i had already know how to ride but some thing u should include is that the engine will whine when u need to shift and that ur motor will bog if ur in to low of a gear
@XxHonda250RxX hey man i ride a yfz 450 quad.. i want to get into motorcross though!! i know a quad is much different from a dirbike im 5'8 and weigh 180 pounds would a 250f or a 450f be better for me this would be my first motorcross bike if i get one if u could help me out thanks!!
@JJKhardy619 yes stop accelerating when you pull the clutch in dude! (very important) because when you change gear and you let the clutch out if your still accelerating you will proberbly flip the bike. XD
do u know the exact name of the cam?btw nice vid and im undecided weather i want a banshee or this but i live in the city so im going to ride every once and a while so maintenance really isnt a prob.
@JJKhardy619 YES!! DEfinatley!!! If you dont..youll end up on your butt with the bike on top of you....I learned this today from personal expereience!!!
awesome vid. i am getting a honda cr125 and needed to know what gears and how to put it in neuteral.. this vid really helped me you should make more.. thanks!
i got my bike form someone who raced and my yz125 is actually faster than alot of 250 and 250 so im scared of it but i like ur videos on teaching how to use it better cause i need to learn how to use a clutch better
thats cool man but dont be afraid of it or else you wont be as good of a rider and if your really that afraid get a different gear ratio that will slow it down
Wide-open, slip the clutch and shift. These are motocross bikes not family cars for fuck sake.

shifting gears all depends on what kind of riding stile ur gonna ride
if u race shift at the maximum trque level EX if the max rev is 10 000 rpm shift at 8 000 rpm kuz most torque
if u ride 4 fun like a trail ride 4 comftable riding shit lower like 4 500 rpm...

Hey I just bought a enduro . . and I wanted to ask when u start it, do u start in neutral or first ? and then let slow of the clutch and at the same time slowly open the throttle ?
and if I wanted to stop can I just hold the clutch in and shift to neutral while holding brakes ?
sunnycloud69 1 year ago
get rid of those renthals! get some pro tapers!

clutch to gas ratio to get moving? thats what gets me... i know you go slow with both but i either let the clutch out too fast or put the gas on too fast... can you send me a video or something?

how do you shift down
mralexramirez 1 year ago
@mralexramirez
all you need to do to shift down is push the clutch in and push the shifter down each notch is a gear so if you're at 6th gear go done 5th go done 4 go done 3 done 2 then down to one then hold clutch in and barely tap the shifter up to get it into neutral.

how do you shift down
mralexramirez 1 year ago
Thia is my way to use a clutch and stuff: 1.Start your engine 2.Let it warm up if you need it to 3. Hold the clutch down ,shift into 1st gear and flore it for a couple seconds then let it go and watch what happens and make a video of it please.

hey.... im unexperienced, and i dont have a bike(im getting one soon), but does the shifter stay in the same place WHILE it clicks, or does it actually move upwards when you up-shift?
quinnnnman 1 year ago
rey619mysterio56 i am going to be a learner come later this year and dont really know that much about bikes especially shifting so could you please post another vid of how you actually shift the gears or do the same as this vid but shifting instead thanks

first you dumbass you shift down
beatycole 1 year ago
wont unexperienced riders just kill it if they pop the clutch? and if they do pop the clutch they probably wont be able to handle how much gas they're supposed to give it and flip
dangzard 1 year ago
@dangzard hey man i ride a yfz 450 quad.. i want to get into motorcross though!! i know a quad is much different from a dirbike im 5'8 and weigh 180 pounds would a 250f or a 450f be better for me this would be my first motorcross bike if i get one if u could help me out thanks!!
CLUMZYLB 1 year ago
@CLUMZYLB I traded my trx450r for a kx250 and i couldn't be happier. Quads are fun but bikes are more of a challenge; you can't be scared to fall though that is the major difference between quads and bikes. The kx250 2 stroke is my first dirtbike and it has slammed me pretty hard, but its a BLAST. If it were me, i'd go ahead and get tha 450, just be careful at first
marionvetteman08 1 year ago
@CLUMZYLB it depends on how old you are but if i where you 250f they still have a tone of bottom end and i would go with yamaha if you do not want any problems. i im 19 i though i could handle the 450 and holy shit the thing flys so i just ride my 250f but yamahas the way to go very very very reliable bike.

soo if your in sayy... 2nd and u want to shift to 1st or 3rd you dont need to pull the clutch ??
shlem12 1 year ago
say ur in 3rd gear and wanna go to 4th do you just pull in the clutch shift then let go of it or do u let it out slowly
mirracobmx7 1 year ago
@mirracobmx7 no you need to let the cluch out fast when you shift but slow when star going
esskater50 1 year ago
so if im gonna slow down and im in 3gear do i need to shift down to 1gear before i get going again..
Bananeson119 1 year ago
Good vid but I really disagree with this statement: "it wears out your clutch if you don't use it"
I've had talks with mechanics and engineers on the topic. Clutchless shifts won't cause any more wear than clutched shifting. If anything clutched shifts will wear out the clutch more. Pre-load the shifter and unload the engine, the bike should just snick into the next gear without a hassle. This won't kill your engine if its done right.
not4resale 1 year ago
so if i am riding the bike and accidentally hit the kill switch while in gear, im pretty much done right
duxski17 1 year ago
@duxski17 no the bike wont shut off unless you pull the clutch and if u pull the clutch it will just roll
rey619mysterio56 1 year ago
@rey619mysterio56 dubass the bike will shut off. but if you shut it off while rolling and you dont pull the clutch in your back tire will lock up and it wont move just like when your breaking, you pull in the clutch
JuniorPros118 1 year ago
@rey619mysterio56 when your in first gear and going up to second how do you know you wont hit it into neautral iam confused abou that
az09983 1 year ago
@rey619mysterio56 WRONG!!! if you hit the kill switch at a good speed the spark is killed and the engine is not "running" but the engine will still be turning so if you get the switch back on before you/bike stop it will take right off running again.
blownutsmyass 10 months ago

@JJKhardy619 yes stop accelerating when you pull the clutch in dude! (very important) because when you change gear and you let the clutch out if your still accelerating you will proberbly flip the bike. XD

i got my bike form someone who raced and my yz125 is actually faster than alot of 250 and 250 so im scared of it but i like ur videos on teaching how to use it better cause i need to learn how to use a clutch better
terpsG10 2 years ago
thats cool man but dont be afraid of it or else you wont be as good of a rider and if your really that afraid get a different gear ratio that will slow it down
rey619mysterio56 2 years ago
haha when you said high pitched at 0:55 ur voiced crack. Beside that the video helped a lot thx
xxheadshot51xx 2 years ago
So you really dont have to use the clutch to shit 2nd through 6th? (you know, besides 1st)
bullahair 2 years ago
first of all theres only 5 gears and secondly you should its ok if u forget once in a while but dont do it often unless u have money for a new clutch
