i had the virus,i downloaded two programs,MALWAREBYTES and SUPERANTISPYWARE these two helped me remove the cirus ^_^,but it took over 10 virus scans and 10 hours of scanning
i cant run malwarebytes....i had malwarebytes before i got this virus and it worked just fine....i run it now and this virus just kills it as soon as it pops up what do i do????
I had this problem also but I didn't have to reinstall windows. All i did was restart my computer and as it is restarting press F8 a bunch of times until the safe mode screen appears. Once on this screen i just started my computer in safemode with networking.
I then ran the malwarebytes and it worked and it cleaned all the trojans or whatever they're called. It worked for me hopefully you can make use of it.
Yeah this is a known fix however there is never any guarantee that you remove all of the spyware/malware/virus/worm etc. Thats why I recommended to just reinstall because usually its less of a hassle to reinstall than to find and remove the said virus/spyware.
So I guess first try the fix recommended by @healthfreak84
if it doesnt work just backup your data and reinstall.
Yeah i'm hoping i don't have any more problems with this stupid virus. Everything has been fine so far. I have ran a couple of spyware/malware/virus/worm programs and everything seems fine.
If I get any more problems I'll just do what you suggest and reinstall windows. Although i hope i don't have to. Thanks for the tip.
I agree 100%.. I ran Malwarebytes and superantispyware.. thought I'd eradicated this beast but it was too good to be true... even after the getting rid of the popups, my machine would just stop responding after about 10 minutes after boot up... finally ended up reinstalling XP and problem is solved... that is until the next time I get infected by some other malware. My next machine is going to be a Mac.. I'm sick of MS BS.
Its all about being careful about what you click on and running an ad blocker in your browser. I recommend Ad-block plus. I haven't had a virus/spyware in years just because I know exactly what I am clicking on all the time. Obviously this comes with years of experience and you cannot expect your average Joe to also have this knowledge. I do own a MacBook pro 13" and its the most well designed laptop I have owned.

You will need to reinstall Windows.
Google "the ultimate boot cd for windows"
boot your computer to that cd
then copy all important files to an external drive
Then you can reinstall windows.
Remember keep Windows updated all the time.
