Far from it. Williamsburg is across the Williamsburg bridge on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Crown Heights is deep in the interior of Brooklyn on Eastern Parkway

It's about a 15 minute drive apart. You have to pass through Bed-Sty and another neighborhood between them.
