Hey where can I find 302 boss performance?I just bought one and cannot find a rebuild kit yet I bet if I had a ridge reamer I could find out exactly what size pistons I have. Also Would the a edelbrock performer rpm intake fit it?Idk because of the head size?
Very nice, I never took mine to the dyno and wish I had, I was 16 when I built it the first time, fast money and times. Oh well time for a rebuild anyway I have the same water pump no problem EVER stays cool here in Az.
excellent motor, probably cheaper to build than mine,I had a 306 motor that cost me $7,000 to build, all of the best goodies,my friend bought it from me for his mustang, when he had it dynoed, it belted out 612 horsepower at 7900 rpm on straight motor, with no sign of lifter float,it still wanted to go higher but the dyno guy got nervous, plus his dyno only went up to 8000 rpm, even though I built the motor to rev up to 8500 rpm. needless to say my friend is very happy with the motor.
@FordGtman333 wont give you all of them because theres not enough room on the comment box plus people in the bowtie world but one thing I will reveal to you,the numbers came off of a blueprinted 306,an offenhouser dual quad manifold(blueprinted into my specs)along with a pair of carter a.f.b. carbs, the same type of carbs(blueprinted into spec) that powered the 409 and the chrysler hemi.,the rest is up to you.
The wheels of this car have not hit the ground yet. Still in assembly. Engine, drivetrain in, fuel started, brakes done, wiring, a seat. I'll keep you posted, since you have good Taste
780 Holley, 1969 trans-am block C8-xxxxxx, 1970 heads and intake manifold, eagle scat internals,.40 over, custom TRW pistons, MSD distributor, edlebrock high volume water pump. Made 509.9 @ 6700 rpm, made 465 f lbs torque @ 3750rpm. Is currently in a 1965 Mustang Fastback, 4 speed toploader wide ratio, maier racing suspension, 9" rear with 4:11 gears. 2" tube subframe, shelby traction bars, disc brakes, full 2" tube headers to a 3 1/2" collector with individual tubes per cylinder.
The 2" headers were custom made by Dan of Tubuler automotive in massachusetts. The heads and intake are stock from a 1970 boss 302 as they flow better.
Sure looks like Windsor heads, not BOSS heads.

damn I think I pissed myself when full load was on the stroker and then the sudden low rpm!.....yea I tinkled a bit I feel it!

I smiled when I saw the word toploader. Best transmission you can ever hook up to a Ford motor. Things are bulletproof.

Would you please give us your combo?...612 hp comin from a non stroked sb is quite a rich statement.

Sweet engine!
Where did you find the 2" headers for a '65? What cam information can you give up? And what intake?
